We have been twice here. Good location. Easy to check-in. Good price)
Now it is not that clean that it was previously, but still better than to stay in hostel) or cheaper than to have a hotel
8 / 10Eccellente·ott 2026
Comfy bed
Kettle toaster
Hob etc well-equipped
Commitment to local businesses
Thoughtful water tea coffee etc
Nice smelling soaps etc
3 windows
Located near supermarket/ market and walking distance to Atocha and to the Retiro and Prado etc
Broken lid on bathroom bin
Broken toilet seat
One of the windows wouldn’t open so we couldn’t stop the shutters banging in a storm
No sofa or armchair
Bedside lights were far too bright
We worry about the business model that involves few staff (in terms of supporting local people)

It’s a great location, in a very decent space.
The hotel has self-check in and it was an absolute disaster because the code to access my room didn’t work. It was impossible contacting the virtual reception. It was only when I bumped into another guest who told me I had to get a code to open a key box and get a physical key. When I complained with the virtual assistance they gave me a patronising response saying ‘they were sorry the technology was challenging for me’ (see image attached). This hotel is A clear example of gentrification when residences are vacated to turn them into rooms the benefit of few. Not a pleasant experience for guests and I’ll never stay here again.
