The room was clean and cozy

Location and ease of entry. Friendly check in. Accommodated our early arrival and later check out.
The breakfast is good but limited. Basement seating is dreary. The hotel is dated but linens were fresh and rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The family room we had was good for the two of us, but the second bedroom is tiny with no closet or other furniture so best if it were a couple with children - not three or four adults.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel La Place. The location is excellent, and the hotel is beautiful both inside and out. I loved the traditional English style and the lovely antique furniture. The classic English breakfast was excellent, the room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location and quiet room with comfy bed
Very cramped and did not really feel like 4* luxury.
Seemed expensive
