One Shot Palácio Cedofeita

We loved our one-night stay at One Shot Palácio Cedofeita. The hotel is full of character, with beautiful décor, a lovely pool and a gorgeous breakfast room. The staff were friendly, and the location was ideal for exploring Porto. There are lots of cafés, independent shops and bars nearby and many of the main sights are within walking distance.

Central but in a quiet area , very charming with unbelievable character.

The reception staff was very helpful and lovely.

It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, but a 4… things like towels, breakfast, facilities in the room need to be much better to be rated a 5. Things like no lights switched on on pathways in the evening when the sun sets down and it’s dark and you cant walk safely to a separate block… or not enough replacement towels when the room is cleaned.. or no water … Breakfast quality could also be much better..

Nice renovated old building, bedrooms, which were not in this part of the hotel, were clean with excellent air conditioning. Nice bathroom. Swimming pool was small but adequate. Nice garden to stroll in. Staff were mostly friendly (except for one young male restaurant waiter)

Surprisingly, the location was not good as the area looked poor and run down. Graffiti and empty premises everywhere. However, I must add it was very conveniently situated for the centre of town. At the back of hotel was a garage/ mechanical services unit as a next door neighbour, where a lot of noise and banging went on, which spoiled the any hope of relaxing around the pool or sitting out on our balcony. Food was okay but not the best, and as breakfast was not included, it made our costs even higher, which I thought were already too high.
