Hunters Lodge

The room was simple but comfortable and spotless with excellent ensuite, and tea making provision. It was exceptionally quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order, not buffet-style. Owners and their staff were most friendly, hospitable and attentive. I had the evening dinner too which was very good standard pub food. Good parking too.

Nothing really ! I did not want a business oriented shoe box and was very happy with my choice and their service. Keep it up!

I thought the breakfast was very good, more than enough for even the most hungry. Ample coffee or tea with juice. With the most hospitable of hosts.

OUTSTANDING!! We have just returned from a 3 night stay and we have booked again to go in a few weeks to take my parents as it was so great. The hosts, Nicky and John could not have done more for us, they went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. The apartment was spotless and very well finished and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The shower is so powerful and really refreshing, a perfect way to start the day. The perfect start to the day continues when you have the full English breakfast, cooked to perfection and made to your choice, I was shocked when I found out that is all included in the price. The menu for the evening meals has many choices and the ones we chose were great. To make the stay even better, there is a Sunday carvery with excellent choice of meats and veg that was just the cherry on the cake for our stay. The Banoffi pie for dessert was also lovely. We have a dog who is not the most well behaved when other dogs are in the room and Nicky went to a lot of trouble to seat us away from the other dogs. I cannot speak highly enough of this property and hosts. We have stayed in places before from Booking.com that are rated over 9 but they did not compare to this property that should be a 10. Location is also fantastic and is only a short drive to many North Devon attractions.
