Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.

Rooms have very recently been renovated. Everything modern and very comfortable.
On the main floor are two levely communal areas for relaxing or reading.
This place has a history as a coaching hotel - elements of that history are beautifully used in the current interior design.

Heating did not work in room. Strange Techy control button which could not be 'Mounted' and did not work. Nobody around to help after early evening.
Breakfast very nice indeed. Staff were very apologetic next morning and gave us a free breakfast to compensate.
