Saul Farm

The location was excellent, quiet and safe. Parking was ideal and secure. Very quiet space and despite the hosts having three dogs, I hardly heard a peep out of them when it was quiet time. Bindy was a lovely, helpful and friendly host. The decor in the room is clean, light and bright and the bathroom was perfect. It was still warm weather when I was there and I was able to have both the bathroom window and bedroom window, wide open without insect nuisance or additional noise. Very comfortable bed and lovely linens. Loved exploring Saul on foot which was easy to do and discovered the Ship Inn, with great food. The canal is just a 10 minute walk away giving access to lots of lovely views and further walks. I declined the included breakfast as I wasnt hungry, but Im sure Bindy's offerings would be excellent.

The room is up two flights of very steep stairs and the second flight is immediately beyond a door, which takes careful manoeuvring if you have bags although Bindy very kindly carried my suitcase up. There were two rooms in the upper roof level but the other wasnt occupied during my stay. The floorboards are quite creaky so I would be mindful of disturbing another guest if it were occupied.
