The Stanley Hotel

It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history, very well kept.

The history of the hotel is amazing and the ghost tour was fun! It was also incredible to pull up and see an entire herd of elk grazing on the property!

The room was comfortable but rather small (but it is a historic hotel) and there is construction around the property with dirt and cranes.

Great historical property, ghost tour was awesome, and dinner in the chophouse was great. Incredible views.

Elevator wasn't working and we were on the third floor. Individual Room AC unit wasn't great, and no fridge was a bummer. Lots of construction going on and very loud first thing in the morning.

The overall facilities have a unique charm and the location in Estes Park Colorado is beautiful.

We’ve stayed at the Stanley hotel a number of times over the last 30+ years (first time for our honeymoon in 1990). We were disappointed and underwhelmed this time with a postage stamp sized room that was over $400 a night. Noise from the room above made it hard to fall sleep (squeaky floors that were not the guests fault). The bathroom had only a small 12x12 inch table for holding toiletries. Some mold in the shower. However, there was a walk-in closet that was huge with only a single hanging bar at the back. Could have been a small office. The current owners might want to focus more on actual guest amenities and less on carousels or museums that promote their connections to “The Shining”. We have wonderful memories from past stays at The Stanley but will hesitate to make any new memories.
