great place, location, breakfast. easy access

The Louisbourg Heritage House really is as pretty as the photographs, well and thoughtfully furnished in period specific furniture and art. We found most everything to be fresh and functional despite the age. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We were presented with a fresh fruit crepe, sausages and fresh cheddar scones. The crepe was delicious and exactly the right portion to start the day. The server was a very friendly Cape Bretoner who sent us on our way with the rest of the fresh scones for lunch. Super thoughtful.

A few niggles: we were a little late arriving due to road construction, and the hosts were not there, our registration instructions consisted of post-it notes. However, with the assistance of some fellow guests, we sorted out rooms, keys, etc. and settled in. Note for the owner – none of the fans worked.

Lack of tv Artificial aromas not appropriate for those of us with allergies

Beautiful old house, clean, great kitchen facilities to make your own coffee / tea etc.

Breakfast was from 8am to 9am, kind of early for me. Not sure if this is normal hours in season. We were there the last week-end they were open.

This is a beautiful house with lots of charm in the common rooms as well as the bedrooms. They served an excellent breakfast with homemade scones or muffins, choice of a creative meal done by the chef or if preferred one's choice of eggs, etc.
