Reasonably priced and fairly central to downtown. The staff were all extremely helpful and genuinely wanted to ensure a good experience for the guests. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large and newly renovated. The complementary, self serve, continental breakfast is fresh and good. The parking is stacked in the back and the staff are good at moving the cars around to accommodate the guests needs for their vehicle. Rooms at the back are quiet despite being on a major thoroughfare.

This an old gracious home from Montreal’s historic wealthy business class that has been converted into a hotel. Given the stunning exterior architecture, the modern interior is a disappointment. There is no elevator, the stairs are steep and the hallways are narrow and labyrinthine to accommodate as many rooms as possible in the space. To me, the lime green walls, and sparse 1960’s modernist furniture clash with the remaining historic bones of the property. This could have been an elegant space, even as a hotel, but it is not.

It’s an old building and the hallway carpet very grubby. Despite looking slightly rundown in the common areas, my room and washroom was exceptionally clean.

The location is very good. Right beside a metro. The breakfast is nice. The location feels safe.

The toilet would not flush. I had to press the button and hold it multiple times. The shower is tiny. 2x2 ft max. Not enjoyable at all. For a hotel I would expect an enjoyable shower. I was moved to a nicer room for my last night, however the ac machines are right beside the window and the noise was extremely loud at night. I was asked how my stay was on leaving, and I mentioned the noise from the AC, a male staff members responsed that I am too sensitive. A strange comment to make to a solo female who was being truthful on her stay and the noise. I paid 256 cad dollar per night and it is not worth this price. The accomadation is more of a b+b or a pension than a hotel and should be labelled as such.
