Comfy bed in large & quiet room in traditional and established motel. Filter coffee in room, fair breakfast and easy parking. The location was excellent - close to wonderful stretch of coast and a short drive to downtown Pacific Grove and restaurants. Complimentary wine hour was a nice touch.
Carpet in our room was stained, which brought our score down a notch.

Spacious rooms, quiet, nice amenities, excellent location, breakfast, friendly helpful staff, reasonable rates. We have been coming here for years. Book ahead!
One or two days there was smoke in the morning. It was not a fire, nor feom our neighbors ?the fireplaces in the rooms are gas), but probably from the big fireplace at Asilomar. Solution: don't leave the window open at night. It cleared in the morning.

The hotel is in a quiet location very near Asilomar. The cleaning staff was wonderful and the room immaculate. At my request, they stopped using their air freshener which caused problems for my asthma. Although we did not swim, other visitors seemed to enjoy the pool and spa area. It was GREAT that our dog could come with us.
The "beautifully appointed rooms" were dark and the decor quite outdated. Some refurbishment is long overdue. Breakfast was okay, but we would have been very happy had some juice/s been available.

"Camera accogliente e pulita. Personale gentile e disponibile. Il wine del pomeriggio è una coccola per gli adulti. Posizione tranquilla e silenziosa. Parcheggio davanti alle camere. Colazione buona."
