They have redone the rooms. And are working on the restaurant. I have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years. It’s absolutely a fantastic place to stay in Redding.
The only thing I am waiting for is for them to go back to a full fine dining restaurant. Not real happy with the menu selection right now. But I made do. But the cocktails are fabulous still!!!!

The staff was good...The beds were comfortable
.
I have stayed at the Red Lion in Redding many times and liked and no problem. This time I was in room 311 the bathroom smelled like Mildew I had no ice bucket, I asked for one and while I was out they brought one to my room but it was super dirty and no bag in it but ice so the ice was gross. My husband took the ice bucket down to the lobby they did apologize but didn't have a different one.. the remote for the TV was wonky...
