Teardrop Cottage

Very polite friendly host, great location near the waterfront and viaduct. Lovely room.

This is in no way a criticism, only feedback i could give was to maybe have an outdoor clock in the hottub area.

Interesting quirky historic property in a superb location next to the viaduct. We booked a week before our stay and had the smallest of the 3 bedrooms called the chocolate box. Lovely view and comfortable bed although one side was tight against a wall. A bit disappointing as no shelves or electricity points near the bed to place your phone/glasses/ drinks etc. There was a small square table by the window and 1 chair. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious across the landing and not a problem to get to. Lovely top building views overlooking the river and Viaduct where you could sit with a glass of wine. The breakfast basket was good value for the £8 paid and hosts Mike and Emma were helpful and superb throughout. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again ( in a larger room ) and will be recommending it to our friends.

The bedroom facilities were a bit tight due to a stairwell protruding into the room.

Beautifully presented, very clean, added extras like tea, coffee, biscuits. Lovely outdoor seating area with blankets available. Mike was very friendly and helpful.

The room was fine, although a little small. We were disappointed and a little surprised that the 'private bathroom' was across the landing in a separate room. We had expected it to be en suite. So whilst the bathroom was really nice, we were a little uncomfortable having to cross the landing to get to it. In fairness though dressing gowns were provided. The location was really good and we really enjoyed our walks around Knaresborough.
