Id stay there again. Take the Train to Como Lago

Great location which is 10 minutes from centre. Local cafes offer a great welcome to visitors. Hosts in property were extremely helpful and welcoming. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

The location is great as it is a bit back from the lake but only a couple of minutes from it. The owners are very kind and helpful. I really recommend this place."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a very friendly reception and enjoyed living near our hosts. They were so kind and even gave us homemade goodies!! Also they helped us secure a taxi to the station. It was a short walk to the old city. On the way is a very friendly cafe, Sant Giuliano, where one could sit with a coffee and brioche, read the paper etc. I would love to stay there again. Thank you!!

From the booking all the way to checking out has been a true pleasure. The appartment is as it should be in all conditions. Location is fantastic, at walking distance from the basilisk. The hosts are Devine people, making it their business that you have a wonderful stay.

We had a short but great visit to Como, and really were happy with the apartment and hosts. The unit was very clean, well appointed, and central to everything. The hosts were very charming, friendly, and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Como.

Excellent stay in Como. The hosts made it very easy for us by picking us up and taking us back to the train station. The flat was charming and very clean. It was nice knowing they were close by if we needed anything . I would highly recommend staying at Casa Margherita in Como.

Great location 10 minutes from city center. Apartment was very clean, well appointed and everything needed. Giglioti and Adriano were kind and excellent hosts. Many thanks for making our stay in Lake Como so enjoyable.

The 2 bedroom apartment is in a residential area which provides a peaceful location away from the bustle of central Como. It is a 10 minute walk from the Lago Nord railway station, Duomo or Lake. The apartment is comfortable, nicely furnished and well equipped, with a full kitchen, a washing machine, and a small sheltered outside area. It would benefit from a second double bed instead of singles. There is very limited car parking in the area, but the owners reserved a car park for us close to the house. I would recommend using the railway to get to Como, as a car is not really necessary. Be aware there are steps and narrow doorways to negotiate to access this house, but this is normal for Italian houses. There are small friendly cafes and general store just down the road for the basics without the tourist prices. Owners Gigliola and Adriano live next door, and very kindly provided help and advice on places to go and how to get there. Overall an excellent base for exploring the greater Como area, with friendly helpful owners.

We had a great time at Casa Margherita 2 in Como. It is a nice stroll to the centre of the city. Set in lovely gardens and surroundings, it felt very calming and was wonderful to hear the birds singing. It was ideal to be able to sit in the garden and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine. Thank you! Gigliola was very kind and helpful, explaining things well. She suggested restaurants and nearby supermarkets etc and kindly organised transport for us to Milan when we left. All the great comments we had read prior to booking helped us make the right choice and everything was right on. We will stay longer on our next trip. 3 nights was just not long enough. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere. Gigliola was so welcoming and we knew if we needed anything at all we just had to ask. The apartment is spacious with a lovely view.

We felt instantly at home in the apartment, especially after a very warm welcome from our hosts. We had everything we needed and our hosts gave us very useful information about the area and suggestions of things we could do. The villa was bright, airy and spacious and had a lovely view of the hills. The walk into the centre was no more than ten minutes and the area itself was quiet. We would highly recommend this property to other holiday makers.

The accomodation was spacious, well equipped in a quiet safe area of Como. The apartment is a short walk 10 minutes to centre and lake with a number of shops 2 minutes away. Gigliola and her husband were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

We found the apartment very comfortable for three adults, and well equipped for a stay longer than the three days we had in Como. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful.The kitchen is very suitable for meals if required, and the hosts very keen to be of every assistance for shopping and other advice and information. The location is ideal, as it is close to the lakeside activities and yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood.

A charming apartment, quiet, restful but only minutes from the town centre and lake front. Everything we needed was available and Gigliogla and her husband were welcoming and more than helpful throughout.

We spent four nights at Casa Margherita in May 2015 and had a really nice and relaxing time. The only downside us that we couldn't stay longer! The apartment was very well furnished and was located in a nice part of town and close to everything in short walking distance. There was a bit of an incline but was healthy for us to walk daily. The flowers were lovely and there was a secure gate into the courtyard and our entrance. Gigliola and Adriano were VERY helpful and accommodating! The apartment was exactly as advertised and we couldn't have been more happy with our choice. I would rent this place on my next trip to Como!

"Casa Margherita 2 is a large, clean apartment. There is a lovely view out to the mountains and in the forefront is a church bell tower. This apartment is equipped with everything needed for a fabulous stay in Como and within walking distance of absolutely everything! The apartment is tucked away in a quiet street and the stay was very peaceful. The owners are friendly and helpful."

"Our family, 4 adults traveled to Como for a family wedding. we found this accommodation to be exactly what we wanted and anticipated. The position, a little out of town, this ensured quite nights and great ambiance. There is a bell tower outside the windows,about 200 meters. it chimes during the day and adds that Italian feel. The accommodation is old world and comfortable, the owner who lives in the adjacent property is very kind and accommodating, nothing is a problem from drying our clothes on a wet day to supplying umbrellas as required. I will be in Italy again in 2013 and hope to pop into Como and say ciao! if i were staying in Como again I would stay here again."

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It has a very traditional Italian style and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped which was useful with a young family. It was very well situated and the centre of Como is a very easy 10 minute walk. The location was wonderful with wonderful views over the town and the sound of the church bells which was wonderful. The owners went out of their way to help us and even rescued us when we got lost in Como on our arrival and drove us to the apartment. They were brilliant with the children and made us feel extremely welcome. I would wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation .

"The apartment is charming and spacious. There was only 2 of us but has 2 bedrooms.Nice italian style decor and is located only 10 mins walk from centre. For us a microwave would have been useful but is not essential for everyone."

"we stayed with 3 young children (2/3/6 years) and had more than enough space. The apartment is close to the Como center, in a quiet street. As said by previous visitors the owners are very nice and helpful. The apartment really was our home away from home. Highly recommended."
