The hotel was in a lovely location, easily accessible from the A96 but close to Inverurie town centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good.

The room I was in was in need of a revamp. The carpet was stained and the curtains and furniture were very dated. There was also some areas missed when cleaning in the bathroom

Being retired, we would have preferred a walk in shower as opposed to having to climb over a bath.

Its a very warm and friendly hotel. Its a bit dated, but that didn't bother us. Our room had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good parking, restaurant, and peaceful.

It needs a bit of updating, but these hotels need to survive, so very happy to spend our money and hopefully it will be slowly improved. But don't take that statement the wrong way. It is comfortable, and well equipped .

Breakfast was excellent though they did seem to be lacking some ingredients which resulted in half a black pudding slice. The room itself was simple but comfortable. Doors do not self-lock which means you must use the key to lock them. There is also not much sound deadening between rooms so get comfy with your neighbors.

Self-locking doors would be a good idea. You can hear a lot through the walls. I also do not understand why the bar and restaurant are open to guests only.

some rooms getting a bit “tired”. however the owners are hoping to retire and therefore open only to residents. this was made clear on booking and was reflected in the reduced evening menu.
