Beautiful Friendly staffs

Excellent . Convenient

Wir hatten extra ein Zimmer im EG gebucht, damit wir den Garten und unsere kleine Veranda nutzen können, um draußen zu sitzen. Leider hatte das letzte Zimmer ein Schimmelproblem. Als wir dies beanstandet haben, durften wir ohne jeglichen Aufpreis ins 1. OG in die Suite umziehen und ab da genossen wir unseren Aufenthalt im Casa Chukum sehr! Extrem hervorheben würde ich Samantha, die uns während unseres Aufenthalts mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand und einige Tipps auf Lager hatte.

Der Kayak-Ausflug, den wir vom Casa Chukum aus gebucht hatten, war nur so mittel gut. Die Kayaks hatten leider keine Lehne, weshalb der Ausflug für die Länge der Zeit es sehr unbequem war. Dennoch, Laguna Bacalar konnten wir nichtsdestotrotz sehr genießen!

Casa Chukum was een zeer prettig hotel. Zodra je binnenstapt valt de laid-back sfeer je op, wordt je door het vriendelijke personeel in de watten gelegd en voel je je welkom. We hebben er heerlijke dagen gehad met een prima ontbijt en heerlijk vertoeven op het dakterras. Kamer ruim en schoon, goede bedden. Ik zou er zeker terugkeren!

Das ganze Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet, die Zimmer sind reizend, der Garten ist wunderschön und die Lage war für uns perfekt.

Alles war großartig, es gibt nicht das Geringste zu Bemängeln. Jederzeit wieder!

Fantastic garden, cool rooms, there are three very atmospheric roof terraces. The staff is wonderfully friendly. The breakfast is cheap and fantastic. Close to the beach and to the restaurants.

They have a few dogs, so the garden was full of dog poo and it smelled a bit funny. Two neighborhood bars had very loud music - the rooms are sound proofed, though.

Staff was super welcoming and nice and gave us good recommendations for activities in and around Bacalar. Reception area, common space and also the pool area are nicely decorated with a lot of art and beautiful plants. Location is perfect to explore bacalar. Really nice rooftop with a beautiful view to the lagoon. Parking was available on the street.

Our room was really outdated and it felt really dirty. The fridge wasn’t working during our stay. The bathroom was horrible with wood-floor even in the shower. The shower head sprayed everywhere in the bathroom and made everything wet while showering. Due to the climate and wet conditions in our room everything stayed wet during our stay. Our towels and bed sheets had stains. All in all we were really unhappy with our room! We really would have given this hotel a chance since the staff and everything else was really nice, but our room left us unfortunately quite unhappy with the hotel.

Unglaublich schönes und sauberes Hotel. Der Garten und die Dachterasse, mit einem wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Lagune, sind perfekt zum Entspannen, auch bei Regentagen. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sooooo freundlich, man fühlt sich wie Zuhause. Das zubuchbare Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Die Lage ist perfekt, viele Restaurants und kleine Supermärkte direkt um die Ecke. Zwei Badestege sind nur einige Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Uns hat es so gut gefallen das wir 2 Tage verlängert haben, danke nochmal für alles!!!

C était vraiment top, staff a l écoute, chambres très propres! on a réservé une balade en voilier via la réception de l hôtel et c était juste incroyable on était avec un couple de l hôtel, franchement balade magnifique au coucher du soleil, merci à casa chukum pour un séjour réussi !

Terrific hotel with an exceptional staff and well-located in Bacalar. The property itself is very nice, with clean, highly functional rooms and attractive common areas. The ownership and staff are even better - very friendly and welcoming and with lots of good recommendations. As an example of this kindness, when she heard me say that I planned to walk to the bus station, the owner immediately volunteered to drive me- really such a nice, unexpected gesture.

Le personnel était très sympa et accueillant ! Beaucoup de joie et de sourires. Ils prennent le temps de discuter avec vous, vous aident toujours pour trouver de bonnes adresses et font tout pour que vous vous sentiez bien.

Rien à redire. Tout était très bien.

- Das Hotel ist mit sehr viel Detail eingerichtet - Die Mitarbeiterin, die uns beim Ankunft empfangen hat, war extrem nett und hilfsbereit - Großes, bequemes Bett - Schöne Dachterrasse - Trinkwasser, sowie Tee und Kaffee 24 Std kostenlos zur Verfügung - Die Aufmerksamkeit der Mitarbeiter

- Leider waren die anderen Empfangsmitarbeiterinnen korrekt, aber nicht auf dem Niveau von der ersten in Punkto Freundlichkeit - Man hört die Musik von einem Club nebenan. Uns hat das nicht gestört, aber man sollte es wissen, wenn man hier bucht - Drei süße Hunde liegen ständig im Empfang/Restaurant Bereich. Leider riecht es manchmal stark danach. Auch die Katzen laufen auf die Restauranttische herum, was hygienisch nicht von Vorteil ist und Allergiker wissen sollten. - Sinnlose Details, zB der Lichtschalter von der Dusche ist im Zimmer aber der Schalter fürs Zimmer ist neben der Dusche (??) - Etwas ungepflegter Pool- und Aussenbereich - Nicht ganz sauberes Zimmer

Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal. Möglichkeit für Kaffee/Tee Zubereitung.

The hotel was fancy and clean. The room looked pretty nice and it was quiet. The staff was super friendly and explained everything, even how to turn on the lights. When I left they got me a a small surprise.

Only small thing but they should be there for the price, e.g. the smell was a bit odd, they didn’t fill up my water and I didn’t have light in the bathroom.

Best place we stayed at on our Mexico Trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bacalar. We had the best welcome by the friendly stuff, they really rook care of everything we needed. The photos listed for the property don’t even do justice of how amazing the garden is. The rooms were super nice and clean as well. And there were so many smaller details that made the stay special. Definitely 10/10 and super happy we stayed there.

Le personnel est super accueillant tu te sens comme chez toi. Le jardin est superbe. Il y a 3 roof tops hyper beaux et relaxants. C est à 3 mins à pied de l eco parque et 8 mins du zocalo. La chambre vue jardin top et super espacieuse et bien décoré.

Je trove le prix trop élevé et le petit déjeuner n est pas compris.. Donc trop cher finalement. Et pas sur la lagoon même si c est 3 mins à pied.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was good, near the centre and near the llagoon. The interior design was unique, and breakfast was very tasty.

Mould everywhere. Seems to be a known problem and hard to combat, but in these amounts, it's a no-go for me. It was quite noisy at night as close to a bar/restaurant. Outside furniture outdated and neglected. The balcony is a joke, and it's quite cheeky to call it a roo with a balcony. You could hardly even stand on it it's so tiny (see picture). If you want to sit outside you need to book one if the rooms on the ground floor with a terrace. Public parking is the road is limited.

· L’hôtel est charmant, intimiste et bien placé. Les chambres grandes et agréables. Nous avons été merveilleusement bien reçus, toute l'équipe est adorable. Le petit déjeuner est top! Nous recommandons cet hôtel à 200% !!! Le jardin avec piscine un petit paradis. Rien a dire sur la propreté et les équipements de la chambre. Nous recommandons "La casa chukum"!

The staff was very kind, patient and helpful. And they have a very nice breakfast for an extremely reasonable price.

The pool could have used a little TLC- but it was still useable and pleasant. Parking could also be difficult if the town was busy although it was very easy when we visited.

Habitacion super limpia y confortable. Dormimos muy bien. Muy moderno.

La piscina y las instalaciones comunes igual no son tan bonitos como otros hoteles por la zona.

This is a little paradise in the paradise! We had just short stay, but it was perfect, better what we could imagine. They offer us a boat tour on the lake for the afternoon which was a fantastic program. The breakfast is super, good quality and lot of options. Rooms were absolutely clean. They take care of everything even minor details. Highly recommended!

Amazing staff, very professional

Amazing, professional and helpful staff !

The responsiveness! We had a misunderstanding with the rooms, they were very helpful and solved the problem in no time. They have big beds, and if you have a small child, she/he might fit. But for our 10 year old it was not possible, so they solved it.

It is beautiful, the decoration is. The roof top is also great. Rooms are very well decorated. There are lots of little details I liked.

I loved everything about this property. It was beautiful, the rooms were very comfortable, and everyone on staff was so nice and friendly.

If I had to say something there is not much room for toiletries around the sink but that’s not really a big issue.

Great staff who wanted to make sure you enjoyed bacalar. Bacalar is an amazing place. Booked a great boat trip with them. Breakfast was good but at extra cost. Hotel was small and friendly. They made a real effort to make you feel at home.

Room 7 has a bad outlook on to the maintenance room and not very nice. The pool area is very pretty but over grown and not really anywhere to relax. They have pets so you need to like pets. Some bits of the rooms were a little tired but all clean
