About this house rental

Situated in Port O'Connor, this charming house for $188 per night is a great option for your next break. The Reel 'em Inn @ POC has been in our family for a few years now and has been through a lot. Countless card game nights, barbeque and seafood feasts in the back yard, s'mores on the fire pit and plenty of laughs by the pool and fishing stories! Come on down and stay a spell. During your stay we hope you have a shell in your pocket, sand between your toes and a fish bending your pole! We are close to King Fisher Beach on Matagorda Bay and near boat ramps to launch your boat. Pet friendly with doggie door and fenced yard. Swimming pool with deck and outside bathroom. Fish and duck cleaning area. You can enjoy the ocean breeze and view of the ICW from the house deck or the breezy sitting area below. There is also free parking on the RV area that will accommodate large offshore boats or an RV to accommodate extra guests with electric and water hook up for extra Fee. Please read the house rules especially concerning pets, and pool.

We came for a quick weekend of fishing. The house was clean and loved that everything was labeled so there was no guessing what light switch to turn on, or cabinet to open. Only downside was that the pool looked a little green so the kids were disappointed, but mom and dad didn’t want to get in anyway.

Was dirty and unkept when we arrived the ac return in the ceiling was leaking and had mold on it. Tons of damage to the walls and ceiling. The front steps to the house are super unsafe basically falling apart. My brother in law had to fix the fridge as when we got there it was not keeping and of our food cold and by the next morning all of it was warm and nasty. I could go on and on but over all if you want a safe clean place to stay this is NOT IT!

100% accurate as to pictures, extremely clean and manager very accommodating pool was super clean and we had a relaxed and very enjoyable time. Our kids and grandkids can’t wait to go back…we were all sad to leave. If you don’t stay here your crazy!

The house is in a great spot, close to the main road and stores and close to the beach. Everything was comfortable and clean. Plenty of amenities, cooking essentials, and shower needs. The deck and pool are awesome, so much fun! This was our first family vacation with 2 small kids and this house made it very enjoyable. Thanks, y'all!

We booked for three nights to meet up with old friends and two days of fishing. The pool is great after a long day chasing Reds in the back lakes, the outdoor area below the home is perfect for cooking out and telling lies about the one that got away, the owner is courteous and responsive to any needs or questions, and the home was clean and well stocked. Another perk was ample room to park both of our bay boats, trucks, and an additional vehicle. I highly recommend this home! We will be back for our next trip to POC.

The property was spotless clean. The owner lives next door and was very friendly. Everything worked as it should. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of towels and linens. Backyard and pool are immaculate. We will definitely be back!

We highly recommend this property. We spent 4th of July week here with 4 kids (age 4-8) and our small dog. We had a great time getting away from the city and just relaxing out on the upstairs front porch sipping coffee and enjoying the POC views of breezes in palm trees. Having young kids it was great to have a fenced pool on-site with childproof latch, poolside restroom and shower for after getting sandy at the beach, and Internet TV for siesta time. Low traffic, quiet street, nice local grocery store - overall a great get-away for young families. Property owner monitored the pool and answered any questions - he was very courteous while never intrusive. We highly recommend.

We did not stay at this property and I can't give a review of the property itself. Mark was very nice and called to say the pool was broken. Unfortunately we had to cancel due to personal reasons and the pool. We ended up staying at a different property for a slightly shorter stay.

The house was exactly as advertised. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of room (of course 1 had to sleep on the couch). The house was clean. The owner lives next door and he was concerned that our stay was enjoyable. He also gave great advice on where and how to fish. He is an extremely pleasant individual. I will definitely stay there if I'm in Port O'Conner again.

We had a good time at reel em inn! The property manager Mark was so friendly and we loved it! He made sure we were all ok and took care of all of our problems. The bathroom was really nice I loved the dual shower heads but the hot water ran out fast. They had plenty of games that we had fun with. Overall had a great time and for the price our money was well spent. Also really appreciated the lot next door to park our trailer and boat on, very convenient.

This was our second stay at this property. And I have booked another for next year! Mark and family are wonderful, the house is beautiful and the location is prime! As long as they will let us, we will keep coming back! And the fishing was awesome!

This place is sooo clean and has everything you will need during your stay. It has all the extras: spices, shampoo/conditioner/soap, cookware, plenty of towels, rags/kitchen towels, and even cleaning supplies. Which I love so you can clean as you go through the stay. Pet friendly and the pool was nice. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect place if you fish, but even if you don't. Plenty good for a relaxing few days on the Texas Gulf Coast. We thrived on local shrimp, oysters, and flounder. The welcoming host provided helpful info and a lovely shady balcony where we could chill out near a beach with our hound. Thank you again! Amy and Ross
