Bed was so uncomfortable, wife didn’t work I couldn’t complete my work, I had to bring my own tools for cooking and stuff. No toiletries in the bathroom. I’ll never suggest this place to anyone. Overall very bad service

The price.

There was burns in the carpet., the screws on the dinning chairs were loose and unsafe. the shower door kept falling of the runners. And there was a dirty apron in the draw.

This is a well apportioned flat that has all the facilities you need, it was clean and tidy and would accommodate two people well. The price is very reasonable at around half the price of the central Birmingham hotels.

Due to traffic and all the closed roads around the property I arrived in the evening, only to find that the exterior combination key box was empty and I couldn't get in to the building. I banged on the door for quite a while and tried calling the flat owners, who had all gone home for the evening (office hours 9am to 5pm). Eventually another resident in the property let me in and said that she had the same problem and had reported the missing key the day before. The other thing that was a problem was that there was no hot water so I had two very cold showers. I looked around for a master switch, but couldn't find one, and played around with the shower tap controls (not an electric shower) and ran the sink taps too, all cold. Again I tried to call the owners but it was early morning, pre-office time, and again no answer. The flat is also in the middle of a massive building site (HS2 Terminal development) and it is in a semi-derelict industrial area; as a big man even I didn't feel safe walking at night into town.

There was no hot water, the shower head has come off from the hose so not able to use even if there had been hot water. Only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper was left. Dirty cutlery in the drawers and the washing up sponge looks like it's been there for 6 months so didn't want to use it. The curtains in the bedroom are far too thin. 5am it was really light. Could do with a lamp in the bedroom as the main lights are far too bright. The twin beds had been put together but one is higher than the other and two single duvets were not great for a couple.

Difficult to find property as it in the middle of a building site. Doors not numbered particularly clearly. Unable to get through to customer service team to find out more. By chance I bumped into somebody else staying there who showed me how to get in. Room was next to a building site. Woke up both mornings by loud drilling, the bed shaking due to the road being carved up, builders being builders, and a man in a crane directly outside my room window. Wifi details not provided up front either. All in, terrible location, terrible service, wouldn't recommend. Submitted complaint and never heard back.

The apartment was lovely, nicely decorated, very clean and tidy and well equipped with what you would need for a few days away. Comfy beds, very quiet location.

I didn't realise the place was situated in the middle of the hs2 works, the outside looked like it was derelict with graffiti all over the place. Was very hard to find because of all the upheaval and road works, walked around for over 3 hours as wasn't even in Google maps, uber driver even had trouble finding it. Looked very rough.

Very clean, very comfy, and a phone call to check we were ok. Would stay again

The only positives was the location, it was within walking distance to the centre and has a space to park your car.

Did not feel very safe as the front door to the flat does not stay shut unless it's locked and there is a gap in the frame so you can see through. The shower is very small, not able to move, bend or pick up your shampoo. The company asked for a £250 deposit due to the fact that we were staying to go shopping and have dinner, no deposit advertised on the ad and you only get it back 2-3 days after check out, I had to go to customer service for it to be waived. The paint job was terrible, not enough towels, burn marks in the carpet, toilet seat was not secure and the floor outside is uneven and wiring exposed where the grate was bent so your foot would fall through if you was not looking. There is very little to no civilisation and all road works around you. The street light is directly outside the window and makes it very bright to sleep.

hs2 being built right outside the window, heating on full blast and opening the windows your greated by loud machines digging and banging. no need for an alarm clock.

I didn't like the fact that after I booked and paid I then had to fill out loads of paperwork to do with a rental agreement (for 4 nights). I then had to Send a copy of my driving licence and do a bank transfer of £250 holding deposit. I was then getting random text messages off a mobile during the middle of the night saying thank you for booking and they will send me directions and links to follow to gain access into the building.The deposit was more than what I paid for 4 nights. The area is seriously run down with loads of graffiti sprayed on the walls and derelict buildings around. There was also a lot of litter everywhere. We arrived and found the self check in very straight forward and smooth. We entered flat 5 it was OK until I studied the room carefully as I didn't want to loose any of my deposit so I had 3 hrs to list and report any defects so out with my mobile and I started taking pictures. Iron burn mark on the lounge carpet several burn holes in the bedroom carpet gouges in the wall behind the headboards water stains in the picture in the bedroom a crack in the shower tray floor a few cracked tiles on the floor in the bathroom the shower hose head kept falling off the shower took 10mins to warm up then the hot water pressure dropped down to a trickle so a cold shower it was. The kettle was dangerous as it wouldn't turn off and if you let it boil to long steam would come out of the switch so you burn yourself when trying to turn off the kettle. After a few text messages through booking.com someone came around at 17.15 on the 2nd night he said it was the shower mixer that needed changing but the hot water pressure was low in the sink and the kitchen so he then said it must be the vessel in the boiler that needed looking at so he said we could use the shower in flat 3 until it was fixed he went then 2hrs later when I went to use the shower in flat 3 after 5 mins the hot pressure dropped in that one to.

Walking distance to bullring. Good hot water. TV with Netflix. Facilities Fridge and utensils ok. Warm. Clean. Quiet as road works in place.

Part of the slope on the carparking nearly touched the driver side sill, any lower and would not have been able to access. We are unclear how 'safe' we felt in the area at night. Broken glass and laughing gas cannisters on pavements. Bottom of building on front side looked derelict.Shower head came apart from hose, kettle did not switch off, but did not detract from the 'quirkiness' of the place.'

room is comfortable. mgmt was responsive and helpful. environment very quiet. location is close to city center.

very hard to locate even though i was given detailed map. shower cubical very small. bathroom size should be big enough to fit a reasonable size shower cubical. the back door was completely dark at night make it impossible to find the keys without torch. the key box was not easy to open. i end up need to knock on the door of neighbour to help get in.

Self check in was easy and a couple of minutes walk to the city. Communication with staff was OK and a nice welcome text.

Can't help the road works there but the areas is run down and rough and my myself and daughter felt very unsafe there. Building is tired and the apartment was not clean. Bed sheets were clean but not enough towels or bedding for the sofa bed. Not sure it's been cleaned for a while. Cigarette butts down the side of the bed. Bathroom and shower dirty. Kitchen dirty. Didn't feel safe leaving my car especially at night when night goers are on their way home, people peeing by my car near the entrance. Very noisy with the train right outside the window. Would not stay again.

The bed was really comfortable with clean sheets.

The place needs a good spring clean. Cleaning is something very basic that should be done to a high standard in any room that is rented out. There were cobwebs, dust around the edge of the carpet and tops of the skirtings, the cupboards and draws in the kitchen need a wipe. The fridge and cooker need cleaning, the hinges on the toilet seat needed to be cleaned & a small amount of grouting to the bathroom and shower needs to be done then cleaned. There is probably 2 hours work to get this apartment to a 10 out of 10.
