It was a bit disappointing.

The location and the setting was beautiful

Bed squeaked, toilet rocked, shower head was clogged. The TV cable box was broken. Had to sit in the room and wait for maintenance to come and replace. The floors were not very clean. There were no coffee cups and glasses in the room and no packets to make regular coffee.

Lovely cabin but very impersonal - no one on site and issues not resolved.

We stayed at Wimberley Log Cabins for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and while the cabin itself was comfortable, the experience was overshadowed by a serious issue that was never properly addressed. The exterior porch lights did not function at all during our stay. From around 6:30 p.m. each evening the property was in complete darkness, making it extremely hazardous to navigate the uneven ground, steps, and parking blocks. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a clear safety concern, particularly as my husband is unsteady on his feet. We reported the problem immediately and were assured someone would attend. No one came even after repeated communication with HCPL. As a result, we were unable to sit outside, go out after dark, or host the friends who were meant to join us for our anniversary celebration. What was especially frustrating was not just the lack of lighting, but the lack of urgency and care shown both during our stay and in subsequent communication. The issue was treated as though it were trivial, rather than the significant safety and enjoyment concern it clearly was. Very disappointing overall.

I like the location

Cabin 7 specific - no lights on the outside of the building - had to use flashlight on phone to see the path to the room. The bed closest to the bathroom was WAY TOO CLOSE to the bathroom - you had to turn sideways to get to the bathroom. The toilet was loose so anytime you sat down or stood up there was a loud clang. The shower was extremely small and the shower head was very high - it was difficult to get the water on all of your body.
