Log House with Lakefront Access and Private Dock on Norris Lake
About this house rental
Situated in Norris Lake, this charming house for $232 per night is a great option for your next trip. This 2 bedroom 1 bath home is a true "log home" nestled on lakefront property of the beautiful Norris Lake. There is a road between the house and the lake however it is only a short walk to the water where you can enjoy the 16 x 20 ft private dock (available during peak season May through September) to swim or tie up your boat. Swim ⚠️ at your own risk. There is a large clearing down to the water that can be used to park an atv, utv, golf cart or other vehicle. The house has an asphalt driveway that will accommodate 4 to 6 cars end to end. This area of Norris Lake is absolutely beautiful and the fishing is superb! This cabin is your perfect place to get away from it all. Breathe in fresh air and enjoy the magnificent views overlooking Norris Lake from the awesome wrap around deck complete with seating to enjoy watching the water activities and wildlife. The house has two bedrooms, one with queen size bed and the other with queen size bed and set of bunk beds twin size, complete with sheets and blankets and a TV, one bathroom with double vanity and tub/shower combo, bath & hand towels, wash clothes, and a kitchen complete with cookware, coffee maker, microwave, dishware, utensils, and basic condiments, washer/dryer, living room with 65” Smart TV with Roku, DVD player with a collection of old movies, and WiFi internet to stay connected. Each bedroom and the living room have ceiling fans and all windows have blinds for increased privacy. Our cabin is located a quarter of a mile from Flat Hollow Marina and Resort, a full-service marina and restaurant for all your boating and dining needs during your stay. (The restaurant closes for the season In September.)They offer boat rentals, life vests, ski rope & ski’s, tubes, etc. The marina usually has karaoke and/or live bands on Fri & Sat nights during the summer. Need a break from the lake for a day? A day trip to nearby Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or Cades Cove Great Smoky Mountain National Park is approximately 1.5 hours away! Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is approximately 45 minutes away with numerous hiking trails and scenic overlooks for you to enjoy. If you’re looking for an escape spot for the perfect vacation or getaway, this is your place!

The cabin was very clean and had most everything that you would need. We really enjoyed being able to tie the boat up at the private dock across the street. The dock needs some tlc but it held our 24 Ft jet boat. The marina is about a 10 minute walk but on a narrow winding road. Just be careful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this cabin.

Enjoyed this cabin and it's location on Flat Hollow. The view includes several houseboats around the dock which I was a little dismayed about at first but then realized it's like a small neighborhood that we paddle boated and paddle boarded around and through. It is a nice large no wake zone to safely play in. Would definitely visit here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, cozy and conveniently located. We loved that we could walk down to the marina for dinner, shopping and boat rental. The furniture and beds are all comfy. The cabin was very clean. I am kind of a germ freak and was not at all worried about sleeping in the bed, using the shower, toilet or kitchen! Loved that there is a dock. We rented a boat and kept it at the dock overnight. And when we didn't have the boat we fished off the dock for a while. The deck is a lovely spot to sit in the morning with a coffee or unwind in the evening with a nice view of the lake. The whole family was very happy with our stay.

That has never been provided. Beds were comfortable, sectional sofa comfortable. Plenty of seating!! Gas grill, all utensils, plenty of dishes, pots, pans, even ALUMINUM FOIL. LOL. We went for a boating vacation, and although this property has a private dock, you have to put in at the Marina. Neither the roads, nor the marina itself is boat/trailer/truck friendly. The marina charges $10 to launch,
that in and of itself is not a big deal. However, they only have 1 ramp, which has a lot of broken concrete along the edges and no pull off to prepare the boat for launch and again no pull of to prepare the boat after you take it out. Now, that is not the owner's fault by any means! But since part of the reason I chose this property was because of the private dock, I would ask the owner to state boats need to be launched at Flat Hollow Marina for a fee and that the dock does not have electricity to charge your boat.
With all this said about the Marina, if you're not there with a boat, this property is perfect! The owners were fantastic!

The cabin was very clean and had a nice view over the marina and out to the lake. You can tell it is family owned and that they care about their guests. They were easy to communicate with and had more than adequate starter supplies. The walk down to the dock is a bit rugged, but short and definitely manageable. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure, and it was nice to have a double vanity in the bathroom. The refrigerator had an ice maker and a water dispenser which was an added plus. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return - we highly recommend!

The property is very well maintained, you have all the amenities for a comfortable stay, and the owners are extremely accommodating and nice. We had boat troubles, and thanks to the nice private little dock we still got to enjoy the water on our last day there.
