Located in Horse Shoe, this lovely house for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Secluded, charming, and tastefully decorated this home is nestled on 20 wooded acres in Mills River. The quiet country setting is very private and you find yourself surrounded by nature and wildlife. Enjoy the occasional visit from a family of deer or even wild turkeys .This rural retreat is a place of peacefulness and privacy. The house has three bedrooms & two baths and provides a great escape from city lights and the sounds of traffic .The open floor plan makes the kitchen, dining room, and living room areas great for sharing fun times, cooking together, playing games or simply relaxing. Conveniently located between Brevard, Asheville, and Chimney Rock and minutes away from Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest. There are many beautiful scenic trails to hike and explore all around this location. If you are fascinated by waterfalls, we have some of the most beautiful within minutes from the house. This area has many fine restaurants, local entertainment, many new and upcoming breweries and numerous outside events and activities.

The host really knew the meaning of southern hospitality. The place was clean, well stocked, and we really appreciated the bottled water, welcome basket, etc. My little parrot loved looking out the window watching deer and an albino squirrel. We loved the location between Hendersonville and Asheville. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you very much!

A group of us stayed for the weekend of the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair. We loved the spaciousness of the living, dining and kitchen area as well as the decor. A perfect house for a group!!

We rented this VRBO for a wedding celebration. From booking it- to checking out - all I can say is wonderful! The location was quiet and off the beaten path. The open living room and kitchen had plenty of seating and a great place to gather and catch up. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you could ask for. We loved everything about our stay. The gift basket was out of control wonderful. The home was gorgeous. We loved everything about our stay. The gift basket was out of control wonderful. The home was gorgeous. The back patio was so wonderful a place to have morning coffee or evening backgammon with my wife. Very comfortable and pretty setting. Only suggestion would be a railing for the two stairs outside. Easy to book and responsive owner. Enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend.

It gave us a rural feel and was close enough to all of the towns we had to see in our short time there. The property itself was adorably landscaped, very clean and had so many little touches. We especially appreciated the bottles of water left at each bedside along with a fully equipped kitchen. The beds were pretty comfy and had nice linens provided, along with plenty of living room seating for everyone to curl up on, after a long day of adventuring, to watch a movie. Highly recommend this home! Thanks for allowing us to stay!

We found the house to be bigger and nicer than the photos even showed. Each roomy bedroom with big beds and big closets. That house was very clean and well-supplied. There were sweet Christmas decorations and a wonderful packed welcome gift basket left for us.
We brought tons of food and cooked almost every meal. Nice roomy refrigerator/freezer, and most things we needed for cooking were there. Our host answered questions promptly and was very helpful. We liked the privacy of the home. We enjoyed walking on the quiet road. We took advantage of the outdoor fireplace for an evening bonfire.
The location was perfect for exploring Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, and all little regions in the area. We enjoyed the DuPont State Recreation Area for hiking, Pisgah National Forest, The NC Arboretum, Jump Off Rock for a beautiful sunset, and fabulous drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway. What a very nice place to stay to have a private family week together and to enjoy the mountains of NC.

This is such a nice place! Very spacious and clean, beautiful flower gardens around the home. I was in the area for Halloween weekend to attend some concerts in Asheville. It's a quick 25-30 minute trip to the city. The owners had some fall/Halloween lights in the yard that was a nice festive touch. Mills River is a beautiful area, great country backroads to explore. There are several breweries in the area and a "hard cider" company close by. Convenient to restaurants, grocery store, churches, small business shopping, just a great little community. The home was unbelievably stocked for a rental. The kitchen was awesome, lots of room to cook and move around! There are adequate utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc.....The owners also left a great gift basket on the bar. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to stay again if I'm in the area. FIVE STARS! *****
