About this house rental
Located in Smith Mountain Lake, this attractive house for $375 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Our waterfront home has been lovingly updated and maintained and is a perfect choice for your family vacation on Smith Mountain Lake! This waterfront home has beautiful lake and sunset views and is situated on a wide water cove off the main channel. It offers deep water for swimming from the floating and stationary dock, and the shoreline offers sandy walk in water, perfect for young children to swim or to sit on Adirondack chairs while splashing your feet in the waters edge. The dock also offers enough space to tie up your boat. If you are looking to rent a boat during your stay, our home is conveniently located new the Halesford Bridge area which offers several marina and rental options. In addition, if you wish to trailer your own boat, their is a boat ramp within our community for your convenience to launch and the house offers ample space in the driveway and side street for your trailer in addition to multiple vehicle parking. The dock area also offers a waterside fire pit with a shaded sitting area for all day relaxation and mini-frig for afternoon beverages. The yard has plenty of trees so there is always small branches and sticks on the ground to gather to help build your campfire, and we also keep a small supply of firewood nearby . For your entertainment, there are two kayaks, a paddle boat and two paddle boards provided for lots of lake fun!! We also have available a variety of adult size life jackets for your use, but be sure to pack life jackets for your children as all sizes are not available. There is also an electric air pump to assist you in blowing up your favorite floats. The house is situated on a corner lot with a large front yard for family yard games, and we have a corn hole game for hours of fun. Also we are conveniently located only minutes by land or water to Bridgewater Plaza and area amenities, for shopping, dining, arcade and mini- golf. Nearby, there are also golf courses, wineries, historical sites and the Blue Ridge Parkway to explore. The main level of the house offers a newly renovated kitchen and dining area with seating for eight. The main Living Room offers hardwood floors, a cathedral ceiling, fire place and patio doors out to lakeside deck for outside dining and sunset views. The master suite offers a queen bed, private bath with dual sinks and private lakeside deck as well. The main floor also has two additional bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a double bed) and second bath. The lower level provides the third bath and fourth sleeping area and family room combination. This offers a queen size and a double size bed, along with family room furnishings and area for games and second fireplace. All together, the sleeps comfortable 8-10 guests. There are DVD’s, PlayStation, Game Cube and super Nintendo with many games to play. There is also board games, puzzles for indoor competitive fun or to relax. The family room also has patio doors leading out to a lakeside covered patio with a Weber gas grill, and plenty of seating for relaxation and dining outside. Finally, One of my favorite things to do on vacation is cook for my family and friends, so with that in mind, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, casserole dishes, electric griddle, mixer, crock pot, kitchen aid, toaster, coffee maker and multiple cooking utensils, Nice dish ware, flatware, wine glasses, etc. Everything you need to prepare and serve your favorite meals. Certainly we are available to answer any of your questions, to assist you in finding the perfect vacation location on SML. Nice property, clean and well stocked. Beautiful shoreline but lots of stairs with no rail. Fine for in-shape people, or those with steady gait but our elderly guest could not manage the 88 steps, we adjusted by driving him 15 min to the public marina where he could get on the boat .. so be aware if you have elderly or disabled people. Other than that a perfect stay and beautiful location! Would definitely return and recommend!

We stayed at the property for one week at the end of June. For the first five days we were alone, and after that we had kids and grandkids visiting for a few days. The kids (ages 4 and 7) had a great time playing in the water while the adults were on-lookers. Everyone was very pleased with the place and the location was perfect for the extended family.

This house is beautiful and is located in a cozy and quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and accommodating for all of us. The kitchen has everything you'll need from grill tools to cookware to spices for cooking! The dock is a great place to spend the day. The little "beach" area was perfect for our kids to play. The cove is secluded from the hustle and bustle of boats and jet skis passing by. It is a great place for just floating around! I really enjoyed observing nature while sipping my coffee on the deck in the mornings. Jackie was very accommodating and responsive to my messages. If you are looking for a place to get away and relax but still feel like you are home, this is the place you'll want to stay! Thank you Jeff and Jackie, we really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home! :)

This property was perfect for our family. We had four small families, and everyone was very pleased. It was so clean; the kitchen was very well equipped for any type of cooking. We loved the linens being included too. We apent most of our time at the dock swimming, using the furnished kayaks/paddleboards,or boating. Perfect vacay!

We had a very pleasant stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the living room is comfortable. The lake is partially visible from the back windows of the house, and from the multiple outdoor decks. Keep in mind there are many steps to get down to the lake, but for us this was great exercise. We had lots of fun taking out the 2 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddle boards. The owners were very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend staying here!

This was our first experience with a vacation rental. Absolutely wonderful experience. Jeff and Jackie were great to work with, very responsive to questions and provided clear instructions and expectations they had of us with regards to clean up and check out.

The pictures do not do justice of this place. It is such a beautiful house with so many upgrades and so many additional things to do down at the lake and I side the house with kids. Owners were very sweet and accommodating.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this rental property! It was VERY clean and organized and the perfect location on the lake for our family since we water ski and use wave runners a lot. Everything we needed (AND MORE) was available for use and in very good condition. The house layout was perfect for the 7 adults and 1 toddler in our group. The downstairs bedroom area worked well for nap and sleep time for the family with the toddler as it provided good separation from the rest of the house. Stairs to the lake were very manageable and it was nice that a mini-fridge was available at the lake to keep food and drinks cold while near the water. I would highly recommend this property to any family that is physically active and wants water activities in close proximity to where they are staying.

We loved the property and would stay there again but the listing was a little misleading regarding how steep the climb from the dock to the house was considering the picture was split and a great section of the stairs were not shown. The lack of railing made it dangerous for my elderly father. That being said, I would whole heartedly recommend this property to able bodied people who can handle the climb.

Beautiful house on Smith Mountain Lake. We had a great time. Only a couple of tiny things to say. If you have elderly folks in your group be aware there it is about 80 stairs down to the lake. Also, towels are not provided for the bathrooms. Other than that it was a great place.

We had stayed here for our sibling vacation. It was great! We throughly enjoyed ourselves. The only complaint I would have is the stairs to the water, however, there isn’t much anyone can do about that! We just were surprised by how many there were. The view at the water is wonderful and the dock area is fully stocked!

This property is very well equipped, comfortable, cozy and feels like home! We had an awesome time! We rented a boat for our visit (strongly recommend) and explored the lake, restaurants, shopping etc. Great place!

Great house, wonderful trip
I booked this house for me and my family (5 adults and 2 teenagers).
The outdoor area is just terrific and where we spent much of our time (even though it was a bit rainy). We all really enjoyed the paddle boards and just relaxing by the dock. It sure does have a lot of steps but we all saw it as a good opportunity to burn off some vacation calories. Would absolutely stay again!

This vacation was our Christmas present to children and grand children. We had a wonderful time there. We rented a boat for two days. I recomend at least one day boat rental because getting around by car is waste of time since there are not many straight and direct roads. The house was very relaxing and had everything we needed for a casual living. Very thoughtfully arranged and carefully provided. If our 12 year old grand daughter was impressed, there must be some truth to it. The downstairs bedroom is helpful for people who are handicapped and the porch area next to it gives a view of lake. I must say that there are 100 and some steps to the water from house which is nromal for that area. In conclusion, we were happy, had a very good time and I recomend this place to two family vacations.

So much fun for families
Our group of 3 families (with kids ages 5 through 8) had such a wonderful time. We spent a huge part of each day down at the lake swimming and using the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. The kids jumped off the dock a million times and had the time of their lives. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking big meals for everyone. It was just great.

Best SML Property We’ve Stayed At
Our family goes on a one week boating trip to SML every year and this is our favorite property we’ve stayed at. The property is very well maintained and some highlights are a nice dock (it accommodated our 28 foot boat, beautiful landscape lighting, multiple outdoor living spaces, and a well equipped kitchen. We hope to stay here again.
