Winter weekend

The property had everything we needed and more. Fantastic location, was extremely clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped, and instructions were provided where needed to make the stay easy and relaxing, they have thought of everything. Would stay again, hopefully longer next time!

Lovely Cozy Cottage Holiday in Cheddar .

Excellent location, just 5 min walk to the village and 10 mins walk to the Caves. The cottage is lovely and even prettier than the pictures. The kitchen is very well kitted out so self catering is a breeze. Beds are very comfy, and the lounge is perfect for a cozy evening. We loved it.

A comfortable home from home, well furnished, cosy and a great location for the Gorge and local area

Great location in easy walking distance of central Cheddar, perfect to use to walk up to the Gorge or to the village centre. Perfectly located to travel a bit further to Wells too, or the surrounding area.

We liked everything, was a great location in the centre of the village. Parking isn't available directly at the property, but you'll find somewhere within walking distance down the road.

Extremely comfortable place to stay.

it has the feeling of being a home from home. Very comfortable and relaxing place to rest.The owners have thought of everything, and have made it easy for you to feel at home.

The only negative and it is a negative is the speed of the vehicles travelling done the Lane because you step out into the Lane from the door.

the perfect weekend away in an amazing cottage surrounded by some astonishing places

the location was absolutely perfect, the property was clean and tidy and was very comfortable, all in all it was perfect

lovely comfortable cottage close to the gorge

beautiful cottage, well situated. clean and welcoming, sweets on the table, useful things such as olive oil, dishwasher tabs, wood, etc. just a lovely relaxing place to be.

Fantastic stay in a lovely, well positioned and well appointed cottage.

The location was a very short, but hilly, walk away from the main shopping and tourist area of Cheddar, and has very easy access to all amenities and walking routes around the gorge.

The only slight issue was with parking, but the arrangement with the local pub was more than satisfactory for all but dropping off and packing up luggage on arrival and departure.

Lovely cottage,but no car parking space, and a bit earlier for check in would be better.

Cottage was really clean and well equipped and comfortable. Host left some goodies which was lovely of them.

The cottage would have got full mark's but you have to park your car in a pub down the road as no car park space, it's no joke when it's raining heavily. The other thing we couldn't get into the cottage until 5pm which compared with some we've been to is a little late especially when you've travelled for over 5 hours.

The property was in a wonderful location, with all amenities a short walk away & the cottage had everything we needed. Great local pub (gardeners arms)

The only thing that bothered us, was the bed was a little small in the main bedroom.

The hot water can be a bit temperamental.

Lovely Strawberry Cottage

The cottage overall and the location was very good. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the extra bits like proper coffee, shampoo and chocolate were lovely. The beds were comfy and the towels fluffy. We liked the utility space especially. Cheddar is also a lovely town - great for a weekend away.

Only thing was the children wanted a bath as the bath was a lovely shape - but we just couldn't get enough hot water for it. Utility space was really good - would be even better if utility space was fully enclosed instead of the two ventilation gaps.

Lovely little cottage in a quiet location tucked away from but within easy walking distance of the main village. Cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. No parking at the cottage but we parked easily in Silver Street and at the Gardeners Arms.

It would have been helpful to have a clothes airer and some indoor hooks for coats as we stayed in November.

Lovely cottage in old Cheddar

Every thought has been given to equipping the cottage for a comfortable stay. It was good to have all those little extras that are so often missing, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Clean, comfortable and dog friendly and just a short walk down to the village. Will definitely be happy to book again.

Missed having a garden or terrace but not far for lovely walks.

Lovely little short break.

Property was in a great location within the village a quick walk from restaurants, cafes and shops. Property was spacious and well equipped for a self catering stay. Rooms decorated well very light and airy but relaxed enough to feel comfortable. Property was very clean and tidy on arrival.

Loading and unloading the car on arrival was a little tricky as the property is on a narrow lane and there is no parking outside the cottage, but we easily found a parking space just down the road throughout the duration of our stay.

2021 staycation

Great location, lovey kitchen & lounge with all the facilities you could what. Useful internal small courtyard area for walking boats/ wakeboards/ wetsuits etc.

No parking adjacent to property, but can park in the local pub(5 min walk) Mattress hard fir our liking.

Fantastic little cottage, in a really fabulous place, brilliant location for walkers, we had a really nice time everything u possible need is provided for, highly recommend the gardeners arms pub, and also the riverside restaurant is a great place to eat, definitely will be back to visit again ++++

Great relaxing property short distance to town, real fire!!

Good pub, called the ‘Gardners’ down the road, within easy walking distance and excellent food.

No parking, also street where they said to park was very narrow

The Cottage was in a excellent position for visiting the Gorge everything in the cottage was excellent would not hesitate to recommend this property

The only bad thing was the car parking I had to park down birch close don’t think the residents was to impressed
