The room was huge, nicely furnished and very clean. There is no on-site staff, but communication was good and access was easy. Dunsmuir is a sleepy little town, but there are some lovely old buildings and several good dining options nearby.
The hotel is right next to the railroad tracks and trains run very regularly, so if you're a light sleeper, that might bother you.

I wish I had more time to spend a few more nights at Mossbrae Hotel. It was so nicely decorated, super clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. Loved that there were electronics cords at the bedside and the kitchenette was nicely stocked for eating a light meal in the room. The lobby giftshop is dangerous, I could have bought ALOT there! I will definitely be back!
It was a bit hard to discern the hotel at night. I drove by it twice! But I also liked that it was so low-key!

Beautiful building, gorgeous and unique gift store (actually, more like a gallery) downstairs, hardwood floors, chandeliers, weighted blankets … super safe as well.

No place to sit but the bed, tv was really strange, long stairway for my wife who uses a cane
