Situated in Lake Keowee, this lovely house for $543 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to the Rock House on Lake Keowee! This waterfront retreat, historically known as The Rock House, offers serene views of Lake Keowee with a two story dock and detached apartment for added comfort and convenience. Located ten miles from Clemson University, this beautifully crafted home offers a refuge unparalleled to any other community on the lake. Vaulted wood ceilings, wide pine plank floors, two stone fireplaces, one on the main floor and one on the terrace level, all combine to create a true mountain lake house getaway. The Master Suite offers a private level with elevated unobstructed views of Lake Keowee. There are built-in dresser drawers and a small loft area, great for a home office or intimate reading space. There are two bedrooms on the main level, one with a private in-room half bath, and a shared full bath off the hall. The kitchen has been recently updated to include a stainless farm sink, smooth range cooktop and granite counters. Just outside the French doors, enjoy a massive waterview deck easily large enough for parties of 20 or more. Equipped with a gas grill for your grilling enjoyment and plenty of seating for the rest of your party to take in the beautiful lake views! The terrace level offers a full recreation area with stacked stone fireplace, stone patio, additional sleeping space, another full bath and laundry. The room above the detached garage is also included in this rental. This private oasis offers grand lake views, large palladium windows, a separate living area with a private kitchen, balcony, one bedroom, a loft area with 2 double beds, and a full bath. The dock has an upper level seating deck, rare on Lake Keowee, and storage building lakeside for storage of all of the lake toys. On your way to the dock, there is a fire pit seating area and a pathway to steps that descend into the water. Don't miss the outdoor area near the Writer's Retreat and the porch swing that overlooks the back of the property, the fire pit, and the lake. clean, charming house with plenty of sleeping space for a large group. Owner easy to work with. We used the house while visiting my daughter at Clemson, it worked out great. The separate structure above the garage a huge plus.

We stayed in the property years ago and were glad to return. The kids loved the double deck. The house does need updating. The linens were old and needed refreshing. The dock had some wiring issues and an electrician had to come and shut off power to the dock (a little scary). There were two paddleboards that were advertised, but one was broken (homeowner let me know the day we checked in) and the other one was in really rough shape. We are a large family and it is hard to find a house that accommodates everyone. We did appreciate that about the house. Great location on the lake in a cove, but just needs a little TLC.

This property was very accommodating to our family. There was plenty of space inside the home and the decks of the home provided a good hang out spot for us. Boat dock is also a plus with it being a double decker.

This place was wonderful! The house size was just right and the Retreat over the garage was perfect for my Cousin and young family. We were able to spread out when needed. Sadly the rain altered our plans but we had a chance to play in the water the day before we left. It’s a quiet retreat and a great place for a family reunion!

This property was perfect! Everything about it was exactly as described! Our family was actually in town for my Father’s funeral and all wanted to stay together. It was more than we could have asked for. He was a mountain man who loved to hunt, fish and just be outdoors. He told many stories around campfires so that’s what we did as well. We laughed, cried and just enjoyed being together. The house is beautiful and the lake view is just what he would have wanted. We had a campfire in the fire pit after the funeral and enjoyed each others company. 10/10 recommend this property!

We have a big group of folks gather at this house for Thanksgiving and the Clemson vs. USC game (unfortunate 2022 outcome). The house is well appointed and has a great view of the lake. Plenty of room and beds for all and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying an adult beverage as well as utilizing the fire pit down near the water.

Could not of asked for a better home and location on lake Keowee. We had a group of 16. Had plenty of room and beds for all.

Awesome lake house
This dog friendly home was perfect for our 4 children and their friends. Northern facing porches were cool and the surrounding trees help cool us when the temperatures soared over 100F.
Terrific access to the lake . Will stay again!

We were a group of 12 for a golf trip. The house and writer's retreat had enough beds for everyone and enough room for everyone to spread out. We did not have enough time to fully enjoy the offerings of the property. I discovered a number of our group wished they had time to fish the lake.

The real appeal of this place is it's fantastic deck and nice outdoor space. The other big plus is a nice amount of full bathrooms, so even with 12+ you've got plenty of showers. The living room, for the potential number of guests is pretty cramped. There are also no usable knives in the kitchen so be sure to bring good knives for cutting and cooking. There is a reasonable prep space, but there is no disposal. So if you are planning on making food from ingredients you'll have to deal with a constantly clogged sink. Also some of the 'beds' in the downstairs are barely beds. The living room couch is big but it's also broken in the middle and sags. So unless you have kids who don't care I'd consider the downstairs to have 3 functional beds. Also recommend bringing a folding table for the outside or to provide some additional seating in the living room.

From the moment we got there till we left it was amazing! Nestled inside a beautiful cove, this lake house was perfect for my entire family! So many beds and places to sleep. Very convenient!
