Located in Antigua and Barbuda, this charming house for $119 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to Pelican Plunge of South Finger! If you enjoy wonderful scenery, to be exact, one of the top ten overlooking the Jolly Harbour, gentle quietness to relax and enjoy your stay in Antigua, you will be delighted to read what Pelican Plunge has to offer.... Open panoramic views of the Sleeping Princess range of hills, the harbour and the mouth leading to the sea. Daily, varying spectacle of luxury yachts, funny, humble boats and yes, pelicans plunging in front of your eyes, soft rainbows after light showers....simply unforgettable..! The rare position of this villa towards the harbour mouth and it's adequate distance to the opposite Harbour Island offers year-round, ongoing caressing breezes, which make air-conditioning superfluous. Should you have your own yacht or water vehicle, the mooring in front of the terrace is at your convenience. Villa 241D offers an open plan unit, with fully equipped kitchen, dining and living rooms flowing and leading to the partially covered terrace, where relaxing and having meals outside is a treat in itself. Fully equipped, modern kitchen makes for self-catering a fun experience, especially to try out rich Caribbean produce. And for those wanting carefree holidays, do try out the plentiful restaurants at the Jolly Harbour, 10-15 minutes walk away, where the JH sports center, swimming pool, tennis courts are located. Not to mention the beautiful golf links for aficionados! Internet access, UHD TV and sound system is at your disposal, if you still need them, after lovely carefree days under the Antiguan sun.... Sleeping quarters - main bedroom is equipped with a king-size double bed with Simmons Beauty-rest mattress. guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and a single bed. Both bedrooms have ensuite showers and WCs. Plentiful storage space, With on-going improvements in between rentals, Pelican Plunge offers a very pleasant, entertaining yet tranquil accommodation indeed.

Lovely property on the water. Kitchen was new and more than adequate with everything being provided. Happy to have onsite washing machine and clothes line as many places don’t. Dinning/ living room and patio are great. Up stairs bedrooms are good size and beds very comfortable although pillows were too soft to be practical. The main bedroom has a balcony and wonderful sunrise views over the harbour. Bathrooms are a bit old and tired but it looks like property is being slowly renovated. Propery could do with more plug ins for USB ports and note all plug outlets are European. Property mangement company were great and provided us with correct plug for my Canadian hearing aid charger. Small thing to note is no outside signage stating ‘Pelican Plunge’ and sign on golfcart garage said something different so look for house number rather than name. Wolfgang the owner, and although in another country, has been approachable and helful throughout which I’ve appreciated. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Location just cannot be beaten. Easy to get to beach - 5 mins walk from villa. Recommend hiring a buggy to get to restaurants and supermarkets - can we walked in 15/20 mins but in heat and for ease, buggy or car is easier. Every amenity needed in the property. Could have done with more handwash in bathrooms - tiny amount left in all bathrooms but only a minor point.

Termite infestation. Owners agent knew about 3 days before we arrived. I could have booked elsewhere.
Termites and flying termites all over kitchen worktop and floor every day. Also in one of the beds.
BBQ not safe and unusable.
Not fit for habitation. This place needs full renovation. Shower grate cuts your feet. Showers terrible. Could not get hold of the keys for a few hours as the agents phone was not taking calls. The washing machine stand our cloths even though its a new top loader machine. All kitchen utensils dirty. Termite dust in all kitchen cupboards and under the bed. The owner gave me a £500 refund but that no way good enough. We had to clean the kitchen several times a day. Its disgusting. Now owner will not answer emails. As he thinks £500 is enough 25% refund. its needs to be a full refund at least. We should be compensated for dealing with this rubbish.
All could have been avoided if they let us know so we could book elsewhere.
Very bad service and property. The owner will no sought give an excuse. But you cant excuse this. He should have told us.
Property not as described and no BBQ we was looking forward to, especially because the high prices eating out.
As hes not emailing back I will have to take legal action.

This is the second time we have stayed at this villa. It is in a great location. The patio has been extended so there is a large outdoor area which is excellent for having breakfast, lunch and a few drinks after returning from the beach.

The Villa is in a great location, near the entrance to Jolly Harbour and a 5 minute walk to the South Beach. I didn't have any problems with the Villa and, in particular, the patio door mentioned in a previous post has now been fixed. Nicely furnished with 2 outside tables and bbq, the latter unused by me because of the close location of several good restaurants. I hired a bicycle from Paradise Boat Rentals and this makes getting around the Marina and to the other local beaches as far as Turners very easy. Sad to see some places closed at present, notably Bodogs (Castaways), Mellinis , even the Starfish Jolly Beach hotel, but I guess it's a sign of the times we are living in.

The entire island has strict COVID procedures which made us feel safe and comfortable. The home is located in a great area close to the beach. The house was beautiful but there were a few things that needed attention prior to our stay and some of those things actually had to get fixed while we were there. These things included; the patio door did not lock, the patio door knob was broken, the AC in the common area was leaking, shower in the smaller bedroom was also leaking, AC in the larger bedroom was not getting cold, toilet seat lid was broken in the downstairs bathroom, and there was no kitchen cooking essentials like the basic salt, pepper, oil.
Nonetheless, we did enjoy our stay and if those things get fixed especially the patio door because that was a bit nerve wrecking staying there with an unlock entry, I would recommend this place but please get that door fixed.

The villa is in a great position, right on the main route in and out of the marina which gives a good view of the boats leaving and entering the harbour. The patio has been extended making it about 30 feet long.
There is a table with a marble top at the marina end of the patio and another table by the patio doors. We arrived at the villa on the day the Antigua government imposed a curfew at 8 pm with restaurants only allowed to sell take away meals. We ate breakfast, lunch and our take away dinner on the patio. There is also a gas BBQ which we used a few times rather than getting a take away. Due to the curfew we spent more time at the villa than we would have done otherwise and would have no hesitation in booking Pelican Plunge for a future holiday.

This villa has such great potential given its wonderful location but unfortunately is in desperate need of having many deficiencies addressed. We did bring a number of concerns large and small to the attention of TT Villas and the owner but, would not book again at this villa without confirmation the issues have all been dealt with.

This pleasant villa is close to the entrance to Jolly Harbour Bay and is a great place to watch boats of all kinds sail and motor past. So if you are a boat enthusiast, this is the place for you! The condo itself is near the end of a "finger" and is therefore quiet and peaceful. The patio receives sun at various points in the day; however, it can be well shaded with an electric awning. The breezes provide cool comfort; we only used the AC twice (and then briefly) in the month we stayed. Most of the JH community is walkable; however, we recommend reserving one of the golf carts for the convenience of transferring groceries as well as touring the far side of the bay. (These carts, however, cannot be driven outside the complex.) The beach is an easy walk; it is a lovely stretch of sand with usually calm waters - nice for kids and seniors. There are several water tours which depart from the beach and bay - lots of fun. The pool is large with a shallow end - great for children. The JH community is safe with ample security. The grocery store is large and very well stocked. A small shopping mall with several restaurants, a pharmacy, and ATMs add to the convenience. (El Porto has great 2 for 1 pizza on Tuesday nights!) The condo itself has a very comfortable King bed in the master bedroom, as well as a double and single in the second bedroom. A new wash machine is in the unit (hang to dry in the breeze). The place is cleaned weekly. The owner communicates well and responds promptly online. Arrangements can be made so you are met at the airport by a taxi (40.00 USD). Upon arrival in JH, a local representative greets you at the unit, and the company takes good care of any problems that might arise. Overall, we are delighted with our whole Jolly Harbour and Antigua experience and we definitely plan to return for another holiday.
