"Porpoise" - Let's Vacation! - this bright and tastefully decorated canal home offers views of the Intracoastal Waterway and a quick & easy walk to the beach! The Cottages at Pier 35 evoke an era of coastal living of the past with its Cape Cod inspired shingled facade, generous lawn, sundeck pier - all with gentle ocean breezes and swaying palm trees. Enjoy the laid back lifestyle in this nicely appointed home offering two private decks and a lovely use in common yard features a canal side seating area for relaxing and breathing in the salt air. Enjoy crabbing or fishing on the canal and the convenience of a charcoal grill area overlooking the water. Inside this upper level property you will find light and airy interior decor and finishes with hardwood style flooring throughout. In the main living area you will find a cozy sectional and chaise for relaxing. The fully stocked kitchen features a bay window dining banquette overlooking the salt marshes and Intracoastal Waterway. A sliding door off the kitchen leads to the raised back deck with a picnic table, shading arbor and Adirondack chairs perfect for sipping a beverage and watching the wildlife around the canal and Intracoastal Waterway. There is parking available for two cars per unit and convenient beach access is just a 3 minute, 1/10 mile walk away. "Porpoise" is the perfect choice for a romantic retreat or an affordable beach getaway for a small family. Need more room to spread out? Rent this unit along with one of our sister properties, "Loggerhead," "Ol' Salt" or "Sand Dollar". PORPOISE IS STREET SIDE, UPSTAIRS UNIT WITH ICW VIEW Note: Guests do not have access to the floating dock on the canal. No boat access. Outdoor grill is shared with sister properties, "Sand Dollar," "Ol' Salt" or "Loggerhead". Rental Agreement will be emailed at time of booking for signature. This is a PET FREE property. Stayed at this property in Holden Beach and it was top-notch. The house was clean, comfortable, and just a short walk away from the beach. Everything we needed was available and in working order. Communication with the host was smooth and easy. A solid 5 out of 5 stars for a fuss-free beach experience. Would recommend.

When we arrived at our rental, it was super cute. Great views and honestly better than photos. However as we got settled in, we noticed that in both beds, the mattress pads were stained and had dirt/hairs in them as well as quite a few stains (which, for a company that charges a fee for staining from makeup/blood on the linens, there shouldn’t be any). There were also splatters of substances all over the kitchen and on the appliances. We took photos just to make sure we weren’t held accountable for any of these things and messaged our host to make them aware. We didn’t receive a response until 3 days into our trip, and after a explaining the situation we were told to email photos, it seemed like they didn’t believe us. I sent them over and received no response. No one checked back in or reached out at all. It’s important to also note that we reported the sliding glass door was very difficult to open and we had to wrestle with it EVERY time we entered or exited the unit. On our last night, my partner was trying to get it closed and slammed his thumb into it. The gash from this needed stitches. We sent another inquiry after this and still no response. I’m just so disappointed as we travel every year to holden beach and have never once complained about a rental. This definitely put some stress into our vacation. I hope they are able to improve their customer service as well as the cleanliness/safety of this rental.

Nice location, very helpful property manager with good communication when we needed her. The place had an awful smell...think closed up grandma's house from the 80's. I got over it but the white couch was stained all over with sweat, food, body oil, giant pee stain circle. It was like something you would see for free on the side of the road but no one wants it because it's so disgusting. I called right away and was provided with a comforter and some sheets to put over the couch. Before booking this place, make sure it has been replaced. I would choose a different location if possible because supposedly there were 2 inspectors who had signed off on this one as "clean". Also, kitchen is tiny so any heavy cooking would be difficult. A frozen pizza or eggs would be fine. If this was all that was available and couch was replaced, I'd reluctantly book

The unit was clean. The kitchen was small and there wasn't a can opener that would work. I believe the beds need replaced and there was a cover for the queen bed. It was a duvet that needed washed. For a 76 year old the bottom unit would have been better for our knees. We did enjoy our last minute trip..

The location is good considering not beachfront. A beach access is a short walk right up the street and you also have access to the inlet at the house for fishing. The house itself was very cute and clean. We would definitely stay again.

The rental was as expected. We liked the location near the beach and on the canal. The yard area was well maintained with multiple charcoal grills and games. The outdoor furniture was nice as well. We met the owners who were very pleasant. Would gladly stay there again.

We stayed out on the dock fishing most of the week. It was great to have the channel right at our house. The house was decorated very tastefully. Just right for a family of four.

Great location, cute decor, spacious and nice layout. Management was easily accessible and we had no issues. The beds were super uncomfortable, to the point where it was a big problem for my husband with back issues. Otherwise everything was great.

We had a good time but the couch, chair, kitchen chair cushions, breakfast nook, and drapes were disgusting. They were so dingy we either had to sit in our beds or outside on the balcony if it wasn’t too hot. I tried multiple times to call and left messages for someone to call me back and no one ever did. I even sent multiple emails with pictures attached so someone could see that the furniture was dirty with no reply.

Property was exactly as described and perfectly sized for a family of four! It was clean and in great working condition. It’s location made trips to the beach easier as well as access to the island parks (along Brunswick) without having to bike down Ocean Blvd. We thoroughly enjoyed this charming cottage!

Location was great, so close to the beach. I loved the beachy, tasteful decor and function of the property. It had everything we needed. The only downside is that the deck is in poor condition and most of the nails are raised which posed a hazard to our young children who tripped often.
