About this villa rental
The entire estate features two separate casitas, Casita Grande (right) & Casa Casita (left). Each host beautiful kitchens with European style cabinetry, granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Each casita is fully stocked with cooking and dining ware including a Keurig brewer so you can have your morning coffee without having to leave the property. The tastefully furnished dining and living rooms epitomize the desert resort lifestyle reminiscent of earlier years. Creature comforts abound, from comfy throws to artsy coffee table books. Casita Grande even showcases a stunning hand-built rock and wood fireplace. Each casita features a single, beautifully appointed bedroom with king size pillow top designer linens, furnishings and spacious mirrored wardrobes. Both casitas feature additional sleeping with living room couches equipped with queen sized pullouts. As with the bedrooms, each casita hosts a beautiful bathroom reflective of original configuration with hardwood floors, pedestal sinks and stunning Mexican tiled bathing areas. Casa Casita features a benched 1 person shower while Casita Grande features a shower/tub combo. Each casita is stocked with quality towels, toiletries and hair dryers. Casa Casitas Boutique Resort is home entertainment friendly. Each features dedicated Wi-Fi, Cable TV, 55” UHD flat screen, Apple TV, iPad and Bose Bluetooth sound systems. This may be Old Town La Quinta, but we draw the line when it comes to must have amenities! Placing an equal emphasis on outdoor living and entertaining, each casita features a spacious patio with lighted covers, dining tables and stainless BBQ’s. Just out front of Casa Casita is a cozy fire pit with ample seating. The property has beautifully landscaped and privately fenced common grounds, a pool and spa, and even a small grass area for your furry friends, all shared between the two casitas. The laundry is located inside the Casita Grande and boasts a large capacity washer, dryer and related supplies. An iron and ironing board are provided as well. In regards to parking, there is ample guest parking for 4 vehicles (2 covered, 2 uncovered). For guests desiring fresh air activities, the Fred Wolff Bear Creek Nature Preserve is a short 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk. The majestic Santa Rosa Mountains are literally in the back yard. Children and adults alike enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the area. Seeking activities that define the La Quinta experience? Old Town is a 5 minute drive, 10 minute bike ride or 20 minute walk, and is home to a number of boutique stores, restaurants and an exceptional coffeehouse. The world famous La Quinta Resort is a 10 minute drive. Its architecture, grounds, shopping, dining, spa and golf amenities and make it a “must do” experience. Desiring even more shopping, dining and entertainment? El Paseo in Palm Desert is a mere 20 minute drive away. See the reviews for yourself, guests love it just as much as we do! Shortly after we arrived, there was a police helicopter flying overhead for almost an hour, telling us to get inside the property and lock the doors. It was terrifying for my kids. We loaded the car up and left immediately and went to a hotel. I’m awaiting confirmation of a refundfrom the property manager, which I feel should happen given the circumstances and us feeling unsafe at the property

Our foursome thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming pair of villas! The grounds are fairly sizable, offering room to spread out a bit and giving us decent privacy. Kitchens are well stocked and in good working order. Villas were very clean and had enough towels, soap, etc. Everyone slept well on the comfortable beds. Loads of great restaurants were within a short drive or bicycle ride. The heated pool and spa were the highlights of our overall amazing stay. We look forward to many relaxing returns!

Unique California hacienda experience! Perfectly represented in photos.Decor, beds,linens are pretty and comfortable.Great stay for 2 couples and a dog. Beautiful landscape and secure fencing, very private pool and hot tub. No need to venture out, a true experience . Property manager was awesome! Will return!

This is a lovely property that has just the right amount of historIc charm and modern amenities. Lovely grounds and pool area, and the two Casistas would be great for 2 couples or a large family. We had a little problem with the spa heater, but the owners and managers went above and beyond to fix right away! Would definitely rent again!

The property is well appointed with a particularly nice outdoor area. The problem is, you can’t use it. Within 15 minutes of arriving at the property, police showed up from a noise complaint. We were listening to music from an iPhone while unloading at 4pm on a Saturday. The police said our sound measured 55 db, which is basically the average person speaking voice and confirmed we didn’t do anything wrong. The police were very friendly and said this neighborhood is notorious for reporting rental properties no matter how well behaved the guests are. We could feel it every time we came in and out of the property…angry eyes from every neighbor. We were there for a family reunion, so we basically avoided being at the property as much as possible. Now for the part where the property owners didn’t do a good job: one of the beds had significant pubic hair all over the sheets and bathroom was covered with them as well. Absolutely disgusting. My brother in law and his wife ended up getting a hotel room. This place would be great if you were allowed to talk outside and the property owners did a better job cleaning. This is also a property that charges a cleaning fee, then requires you to do a significant chore/cleaning list before leaving. Wry poor value and wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

This property is absolutely beautiful and exactly as it seems in the description. It is completely private, easy to get to and check-in/out. There were plenty of blankets, towels, kitchen supplies, toilet paper, etc! The hosts are available, not that we needed anything. ;) My family had a wonderful time and will definitely be trying to get here again!!!

When searching for a property in the desert I looked for a nice pool (preferably heated) and dog friendly - this property fit the bill and then some! The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary items and the beds are comfy, but what we loved the most was the outdoor areas/yard and pool. We had a few glitches with the outdoor lighting but management was prompt to reply and remedy the situation. Looking forward to staying here again!

We were a compilation of couples and roommates who spent 2 nights at this beautiful spot. Our time here was nothing short of sweet. The grills, fire pits, heated pool, and bikes, all get plenty of use and some great memories were made! The property was super close to some really cool dessert hiking and an assortment of grocery stores just down the street. As we entered the property we felt the weight of the world removed and would recommend this lovely spot for those looking for both peace and effortless fun!

The perfect private escape for my wife and I, and our son his wife. Two completely separate casitas with amazing charm. The kitchens weren’t large, but they were well organized with great appliances. We made great dinners and enjoyed the, in the large dining room as well as out at the fire table and on the patio table. Lots of places!

Casa Casitas is two adorable one-bedroom cottages that share a large, beautifully landscaped lot right in the heart of the La Quinta Cove. There's plenty of privacy between the two cottages, and plenty of places to "meet in the middle:" by the firepit, out near the pool, in the hot tub, or over dinner in the Casa Grande. We spent a week here and during that time we had a friend come stay in the little casita for a couple of nights, and two days later good friends of ours, another couple, came and spent 4 nights in the smaller casita. What fun, and what a great way to vacation with people you like! The Casa Grande is well-stocked with all you need to cook for and entertain several guests: tons of glassware, at least two sets of dishes and bowls, lots of serving bowls and dishes, reasonable-quality pots and pans, limited-but-adequate cook's tools like spatulas, pot stirrers, serving spoons, and so forth. (Bring your own sharp cook's knife though, but if you cook you already know to bring your own knife, right?) Not much in the way of storage bowls like Tupperware, and the eating utensils, while nice quality, are limited in number -- we would suggest management flesh out that drawer with a few more teaspoons and tablespoons. Keurig machines in both cottages but we didn't notice any other coffee making devices. Tons of towels and the 40-foot long pool and adjacent spa were beautifully maintained and temperature regulation was a snap. The decor is pleasing and suits the incredible vintage qualities of the casitas -- Casa Casitas is super romantic and apparently unique among the desert city's VRBO offerings for authentic '30s / '40s vintage charm and cosy appeal.

The perfect little oasis

Lovely property
Enjoyed our stay. The place is very nice. The bathrooms are smaller than we thought. The only drawback was no hot water in the larger casita on our last full day and gardeners came in the middle of the afternoon same day, Wednesday. The neighbors in the neighborhood are a bit noisy!

The amenities are amazing, if we needed anything the agency was easy to deal with, and it was really conveniently located close to Old Town La Quinta and Empire Polo Club. Private Compound
We had an amazing and relaxing vacation this past week. There are (2) one bedroom fully equipped casitas on one large property. The property is very private as it is walled in and has an electric gate. There is a neighbor on one side, but an empty lot on the other side. We hardly heard any outside noise all week.
The property is so unique- it is easily one of my favorite VRBOs that I have ever rented. The casitas are so charming- there are so many little details inside to remind you of a traditional hacienda, but is also filled with every modern convenience. The casitas are luxurious and comfortable.
The photos do not do the yard justice. It is huge and private with bright flowers and cactus everywhere and surrounded by mountains. The grass is so soft and there was plenty of shade at all times of the day. You have two outdoor tables, a firepit, two BBQs, and although the pool is on the small side, it was perfect for our family of 4 to play in with rafts and toys. I think our dog had the best time of any of us- he loved exploring the large yard and since it was all walled in, he could roam without worry.
I would highly recommend this property to a smallish family or two- or to groups without kids looking for a great quiet place to unwind. It is in a neighborhood so I wouldn't recommend for large or rowdy groups!
The property is close to downtown La Quinta, a huge park, and a movie theater and about 5-15 minutes from Palm Desert for endless shopping and restaurants. It is very close to La Quinta Resort.
One more plus- every rental is bound to have an issue or two and I always think the way an owner responds to those issues is what matters. Laurie and Chris were easy to reach, and fixed every issue right away. We appreciated their attention to detail and friendliness.

Desert getaway
This 2 casita property was private and had lots of outdoor spaces. The pool and the hot tub were great and they even had bikes to ride around the neighborhood. The casitas were modern and the property managers/ owners were very responsive. We will stay here again!

Only a couple things to mention. In the larger casita the dishwasher has the worst smell you can imagine. Also, I know the grass was reseeded but the sprinklers went off at least 8-9 times a day for 10 mins each. The grass was over watered which made it not pleasent to get to and from the pool. Other than that, we loved it and will definitely use this property again.

The property was lovely and quiet. You felt like you were in a different world. Also, the beds were insanely comfortable. We had all the things these rentals provided with a few surprises, i.e. Bikes and a ping pong table! We never needed to leave our casita for anything (also there are plenty of markets and restaurant very close by). I would highly recommend this space. It's perfect.

Classic Casitas are perfect for 2 couples or a big family get together.
TWO romantic, luxurious one-bedroom cottages on ONE property is an ideal solution for a couple of couples who want to spend time (but not too much time!) together. The kitchens are very nicely appointed and the casitas are stocked with lots of supplies, including lots of towels for the impossibly wonderful swimming pool and spa! See owner remarks about how many people the casitas can accommodate -- there's lots of room here! And the La Quinta Cove is the ideal central home base for a week or two's exploration of all the desert cities, Joshua Tree, and the surrounding mountains.
