Azur Paradise: des efforts à faire

L'emplacement de l'Hotel en centre ville de Grand Baie est très pratique. Tous commerces, restaurants, arrêt de bus, mer et plage sont à 5 mn à pied. Excellent lieu touristique. C'est le point fort de l'Hôtel.

L'odeur des égouts dans la chambre est insupportable. Cela est le point noir de l'Hôtel.

Good location in Grand baie, for beach shops & restaurants, good price for a large clean & Modern room. With a huge Yes huge bed !! Didnt have to put up with wifey kicken me in her sleep here :-) room Cleaned daily. Nice pool. Carpark & a Rooftop bar, can be noisy at night so ask for a lower level room. Tropical cyclone Belal 🌪 decided to visit so we were confined to the hotel for 2 days. Not a problem though, staff were great especially magen, the breakfast waiter. Stayed there throughout serving day meals to as room service & always friendly chatting.

Only small downsides, The fridge in room 102 is more like a coolbox. Gives zero cold out itself !! Ok to store already cold stuff in , If chilling by pool the only toilet is in your room or rooftop. Maybe have a small bar on ground level for drinks by pool ??

Grosse déception

Chambre spacieuse, bien aménagée et propre Très bonne localisation Wifi fonctionnel Fruits frais au petit-déjeuner (mais café lyophilisé…)

Le bar rooftop n’est pas un restaurant /bar de l’hotel mais un établissement auquel les clients de l’hotel peuvent accéder. L’ambiance est très particulière (plutôt glauque à mon sens) et ne correspond absolument à celle d’un restaurant d’hotel : plutôt pub ou bar de nuit avec musique à fond dès 19h et cris. Lors des soirées (de 19h à….) c’est extrêmement bruyant, la musique, les cris se diffusant à tous les étages, les clients passent leurs appels téléphoniques dans l’escalier de l’hotel... Les chambres deluxe vue mer du 3ème sont particulièrement bruyantes car en plus on a le bruit incessant des tabourets traînés sur le sol. Au 1er c’est moins pire. S’il y a une belle baie vitrée dans les chambres, le balcon annoncé n’est qu’un rebord de 30 cm : impossible de s’y installer. La piscine est petite mais surtout complètement enclavée : 4 transats et 2 parasols coincés entre les 2 portails et aucun autre espace libre. Au final, pour ce tarif, à part à l’intérieur, il n’y a aucun endroit agréable où vous pouvez vous installer pour bouquiner, prendre un verre ou juste vous détendre après une journée de balade…

Great value, Great location

We loved the location, the view, and the value for money. The friendliness of the staff is a plus.

No porters available assist, the language barrier with staff and some missing amenities like shower caps, teabags and milk in the rooms

not worth it overpriced for the overall quality

the location is not that far from the center of the city

very dirty got bed bite everywhere swimming pool is almost none existent the breakfast very limited and not worth the money

The staff.

We booked for a week and left after 2 days. Rooms are NOT soundproof as mentioned and the rooftop bar has private parties almost every day of the week. People not from the hotel, jumping, screaming and very loud music. Manager refused to lower the music after asking multiple times. Took us half a day and a lot of hustle with a non-present manager on the phone to negotiate a refund for the remaining nights. Finally got a refund after two weeks (!). The staff - being the only positive note of this place - seems to be used and annoyed by this recurrent problem. This place should decide if it wants to be a hotel or a nightclub.

Photos on the website is extremely deceiving, the location and property type not as per advertisement. The rooms were dirty, the breakfast was at 8am, when we got there at 8:10am there was hardly anything to eat. They are extremely untidy, no coffee in the rooms or toilet paper. I had to book out after the first night and paying for the whole 5day stay and they did not refund anything which we are extremely disappointed about as we were deceived. I do not recommend, very unhappy and it is sad to say.

this place has great potential. staff is friendly but the house keeping and breakfast need attention.

The bedroom is very spacious and clean. located near the mall and the staff is very friendly and helpful. the lady at the front desk was kind enough to allow a late checkout.

The bathroom was very dirty with lots of grime/mould in the shower tiles. The bath towels were badly stained and they do not issue hand towels. Guest should be made aware that there is a bar/club on the roof too (4th floor) and the noice/music only stop at 2:30am.

Nice stay in Grand Baie

The room was very specious and nice.

We expected breakfast to be a bit better. We arrived at 8:50 (breakfast time 8:00-10:00) and it seemed everything was gone as most of the buffet tables had already been cleaned up

Exceptional

The staff was amazing, very kind and helpful. From reception, to breakfast to house cleaning. Rooms are neat and big enough for 3 people.

There is "no smoking" notice everywhere, yet you will see the staff themselves smoking at the reception. The smoke smell used to travel up to our room since we were on the 1st floor, which was a big put off.

Property is beautiful, exactly as advertised, spacious and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing

The location is very good, right next to Grand Baie Beach. the view is ok. the price ok, for the location.

the breakfast was very bad. very poor day by day....in the first day we had some things there(scrambled eggs, beans, sausages etc) but then almost nothing. we had to ask for omlette, with some butter and that was all. the furniture is old, and damaged. also the doors are damaged and not looking to good.

Stay away. We left without a refund as the photos of sea view are deceitful and not pleasant.

Deceitful photos on website. Show a sea view through the gap of the curtains. Open the curtains and you look into someone else's kitchen and they into your room( photo attached). The sea is actually a snippet of the bay past some run down houses. Pool is virtually on the street and has no relaxing ambience. Shower ran out of water leaving my wife full of soap. Drain in bathroom had a bad smell. Breakfast pathetic. Asked to cancel and move on as definitely not what is advertised. Manager refused - we left anyway.
