A unique architecturally designed tropical home built to take advantage of the sea breezes and stunning ocean views. Located in beautiful Hydeaway Bay overlooking Gloucester Island, this home is perfectly designed for the climate with high cathedral ceilings, open plan living and a vast balcony that takes in magnificent 180-degree sea views and the Whitsunday Island breeze. The Lorikeets will give you a resounding welcome to this coastal haven with its three bedrooms with AC, 2 bathrooms, open planned living fully equipped entertainers kitchen, landscaped waterfall pool and breathtaking views. Ideally located for great fishing, exploring the surrounding islands, secluded beaches and underwater marine life of the magnificent coral reefs at your doorstep. This stunning home with it's wonderful ambience oozes relaxation and is fully equipped including undercover parking for cars and boat and an outdoor BBQ area with al-fresco reef view dining. Property Information: Bedrooms 3, Bathrooms 2, Bedding: 2 x King size, 2 x King Single (that can be configured into a king bed) Pool: In-ground, Deck, BBQ, Sea views, Modern entertainers kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with ice dispenser, Nespresso coffee machine, Satellite TV, WiFi and DVD. A car is required for this property located 30 min from Proserpine and 45 min from Airlie Beach. Minimum Night Stay: 3 nights (Low & Mid Season), 5 nights (Peak Season) Maximum Guests: 6 Advertised tariff is based on Low Season Rate for 2 guests. *Additional fees per person per night for more than 2 guest. THERE IS NO SUPERMARKET AT HYDEAWAY BAY, SO BEST TO STOCK UP PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL SORRY THAT WE CANNOT ALLOW BUCKS PARTIES, HENS NIGHTS, WEDDINGS, PARTIES OR FUNCTIONS OF ANY KIND AT THE PROPERTY. PETS ALLOWED ON REQUEST Max. of 2 pets per booking. Please provide your own bedding. Large dogs are not permitted inside but can have access to the deck. Absolutely no access to sofas or beds. As we don’t charge for pets it is expected that guests with pet do a vacuum before they leave to pick up dog hair. If this is not done extra cleaning expenses will be deducted from your security bond. Please be responsible pet owners and pick up after them. No pet is to be left unattended inside the home during your stay. Our caretaker lives across the road and will cater to any concerns you may have with the property during your stay. This was an absolutely amazing place to stay in. The house, view, pool, neighbours and area were very amazing. Will be coming again but this time without the kids. Just so i can relax. It's the place to relax and reset the batteries.

Amazing! Did not want to leave! Everything was perfect. The house, the views, the area & region, the fishing. We had the utmost perfect family holiday (with adult kids & pooch) to celebrate a 50th birthday. Such a beautiful spot. We’ll be back to visit. Thank you to Louise for the opportunity to stay here & to Jules & PJ for being wonderful caretakers. The flowers on arrival were also a gorgeous touch.

Pool is lovely and Pet provisions, Eg well fenced area is an added, & valuable bonus for those with Dogs.
A drive to Airlie, but worth it if you want Peace, a view, your Pet and a lovely property.

Fantastic location with a panoramic view of the bay. Great to have own pool, with the beach only a small walk away. Loved exploring the nearby islands in our boat. Great kitchen with all we needed for our stay. Fantastic neighbours and community, with our fur baby "hugh" having the time of his life. Hope to be back again soon!

Unfortunately we had week of torrential rain but fortunately we were very comfortable staying at Lorikeet. Louise made contact to ensure we were OK, and the caretakers Jules and PJ were incredible, offering extra dry towels, any food items we may have needed as the roads were closed. We would love to come again when the weather is fine so we can really enjoy Hydeaway Bay and the spectacular views from Lorikeet.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The home has the most amazing view over the water and Whitsundays from the front deck. The property had everything you needed and is conveniently located in the beautiful quiet town of Hideaway bay. The kids loved the pool. The property was also well set up with fully fenced yard for the dogs. The caretakers were very helpful with making sure everything was in order and providing local advice. We can’t wait to come back and stay in this beautiful home again.

Fantastic property with amazing views and close to a number of very nice quiet beaches. The house is fully stocked with everything you may need and very clean. Would definitely stay again. Since it is away from the hustle and bustle just make sure you grab all the groceries and beer before you arrive from town.

We stayed for 2 weeks over the September school holidays. The weather was perfect and the location is great for a quiet getaway with the family. We didn't meet the caretakers, although they did come and do things at the property unannounced a number of times while we were out for the day, which we thought was a little strange & discourteous.
It's a lovely comfortable house with a well stocked kitchen and amazing views.

Paradise
Our stay at Lorikeet Lodge was sheer bliss. The home provided us with a 180 degrees majestic vista of picture perfect blue sea and also the islands dotted around the Whitsundays. When tired of the view you can swim in the fabulous pool. Louise was a fabulous host and it was comforting to have Jules (caretaker) nearby. This home is a must when in the area. Five stars ⭐️ all the way.

We throughoughly enjoyed this property, location was great, we were a little worried at first about parking the boat on a hill but it was perfect! Plenty of room to back our boat in out of the weather and off the street. Afternoons were delightful to watch and listen to the lorikeets, we all had the best sleep listening to the waves and feeling the ocean breeze through the front bedrooms. Plenty of room and plenty of creature comforts we'd have in our own homes. Louise was an ease to deal with and we look forward to staying again!

Afternoon bliss!
We throughoughly enjoyed this property, location was great, we were a little worried at first about parking the boat on a hill but it was perfect! Plenty of room to back our boat in out of the weather and off the street. Afternoons were delightful to watch and listen to the lorikeets, we all had the best sleep listening to the waves and feeling the ocean breeze through the front bedrooms. Plenty of room and plenty of creature comforts we'd have in our own homes. Louise was an ease to deal with and we look forward to staying again!

The property was everything we had anticipated plus more. Well equipped with everything you'd need for a self-contained stay, and Louise was fantastic to deal with - so flexible and willing to make our stay a memorable one.

My husband and I are total opposite ends of the spectrum, yet this place was so good for both us and our dogs. When we arrived the property was everything we could ask for, clean, room and very comfy. The house was so well equipped that you did not have to leave there. Now the views, well what can I say, to wake up to the cool breezes and that view of the most beautiful blue sea and Islands was just paradise. We are trying to organise our next trip but this time we want to share it with our kids, partners and grandkids. Thank you Louise for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

There is an easement in front of the house and across the rd to walk directly down the hill to the beach rather then following the road around the block.
We will be returning when we can. Loved it.
