Situated in Bailey Island, this charming house for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. The Nugget is a fully renovated 1 bedroom cottage with bathroom, kitchen and washer/dryer. Perfect for 2 people. Views of Mackerel Cove and Merriconeag Sound. The Nugget sits on the back of the property shared with Coveside, a brand new 3 bedroom cottage and the two can be rented together or separately. This cottage has views of Mackerel Cove and the public beach of Mackerel Cove is just across the street. Mackerel Cove is a working cove, so you can watch the lobster boats come and go and buy your lobsters right off the dock. There is also a public boat launch at Mackerel Cove. Everything in the Nugget is new- appliances, windows, furniture. It consists of two rooms plus a bathroom and closet. The main room has a kitchen with breakfast bar, a table for dining and a sofa and chair. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a bureau and a generous closet. There is also a tv mounted on the wall. The bathroom is newly remodeled and has a generous shower. The washer/dryer is located in the bedroom closet in the Nugget. The Nugget has 1 parking space allocated to it. There is a roomy deck with Adirondack chairs which is lovely spot to enjoy a drink or read a book. The gardens are beautifully planted. There is a gas grill. The Bailey Island General Store, Library Hall and other Bailey Island amenities are a a short walk. This is a perfect spot for a couple or honeymooners. It is beautiful cottage. Rentals are generally Friday-to-Friday

Such a charming cottage and great hosts! We used The Nugget as our home base to explore the coast and eat amazing seafood. We definitely fell in love with Maine! Warren and Cindy paid great attention to detail in designing and decorating the cottage. I’d go back in a second!

Beside being super responsive, the owners provide quality amenities like marble countertops, silver flatware, Cuisinart cookware, Koler hardware fixtures, gorgeous hardwood floors, and thoughtful touches in personal care items. Quiet, peaceful, restorative environment adds to an incredible time at this property on Baileys island. So amazing!!

My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Nugget on Bailey Island! Warren and Cindy are fantastic to work with and so responsive, as well as wonderful people. Throughout the cottage there were thoughtful touches, and the decor was impeccable. The space is perfect for a couple. We enjoyed having the windows open, hearing the birds, seeing the water. The cove and Giant's Stairs are easy walks from the cottage, and the Island has several great restaurants. Our favorite is Sundrenched. We would stay at the Nugget again anytime!

The cottage was an absolute delight. Clean, well appointed, cozy and welcoming. It had all I could ask for. The washer and dryer came in handy too. Communication was excellent. Perfect for a single looking for peace, long walks and a place to write…or a couple enjoying the area. I will be booking again for next year.

Wonderfully updated cottage by Mackerel cove. Only complaint was the sulfury water— I would recommend bringing bottled drinking water. Other than that our stay was perfect!

The rooms are so well laid out, with a distinct good feel in every different area. Kitchen has everything and more. Washer and dryer was great to have. The shower was fantastic and hot. And of course the bed made it hard to get up early every morning… so comfy. On top of all this… we arrived to generous, lovely, delicious treats! Warren and Cindy go above and beyond.

The Nugget The BEST
I've been traveling globally for some time. Rarely do you find nicer more attentive owners that care deeply about the guests than Cindy & Warren. Unfortunately I had a medical issue while at Bailey Island and they treated me as family. The cottage is adorable, clean and very functional. Solitude & Serenity. Would return in a heart beat....in fact I will!!

The doors are beautifully milled. It really is delightful!Outside the area is charming and the hiking is amazing, especially the Bowdoin preserve. You can picnic at a different sandy spot each day. The water is crystal clear in Mackerel Cove as it is everywhere Mr. Burroughs gave us great hiking tips and any info that we needed.It was simply wonderful!

A very special "Nugget"
We spent a week on Bailey's Island, and loved every moment of it. Our stay at "The Nugget" could not have been better. "The Nugget" is a cozy cottage with views of the water and magnificent sunsets. The cottage is thoughtfully designed and furnished and outfitted with many lovely amenities, ranging from a well-equipped kitchen to a TV with access to Netflix to great bath products. From wine and beer in the fridge to flowers in the living room, Cindy and Warren thought of everything. They are gracious hosts who are always willing to offer suggestions about where to go and what to do in the area. We definitely hope to return.

Wonderful visit
My husband and I had a fantastic time staying at The Nugget. It is in the loveliest spot and it is the perfect size for two. It has tons of thoughtful details. We both had to work remotely for part of the trip so we were also grateful for the excellent wifi! Warren and Cindy are thoughtful and responsive. They left us local treats and were nearby, if needed. We hope to be able to visit again in the near future!

Beautiful cottage in a picturesque setting
This clean, updated and tastefully decorated cottage was just the accommodation my husband I were looking for while visiting family in the area. The cottage was well supplied with everything we needed, not to mention some thoughtful unexpected touches including coffee tea, beer, wine and even chocolates to get our vacation started! We enjoyed daily walks in the picturesque Mackerel Cove and throughout Bailey Island and often ended our day watching sunsets from the deck. Warren and Cindy were respectful of our privacy, but very responsive when we had questions. Highly Recommend!

5 Star Writer's Retreat
Beautiful location perched in a corner of iconic Maine fishing cove. Ocean views with morning coffee and sunsets with a glass of wine. The cottage is elegantly appointed and Cindy and Warren have thought of everything. I couldn't have found a better location to meditate, take my online writing workshops (excellent wifi!) and escape from the world.
