Situated in Halifax, this charming house for $582 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Absolutely spectacular. THE ONLY private indoor saltwater pool-equipped vacation oasis in Nova Scotia! The Land Yacht is a massive 6,000 sq.' 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home offering 700' of accessible and direct ocean frontage on St. Margaret's Bay. Only a 20 minute drive to Halifax. Abundant social and private spaces make The Land Yacht the ideal choice for family getaways. Too many features to list, but notable are the wraparound glass solarium, hardwood floors throughout, open great room / dining room with soaring tongue and groove ceilings plus a 2 story stone fireplace. Not to mention the indoor saltwater pool complete with rope swing! (Yes, the pool is heated to 29C/84F year-round!) The living area is open to the gourmet kitchen with African granite counters, fabulous eating island with lazy susan, Jenn-Air cooktop, wine fridge, built-in wall ovens and solid maple cabinetry. The two bedrooms on the main floor both offer ensuites, and enjoy panoramic ocean views. (Both have king size beds.) A half bath is located on the main floor as well as a full bath located in the pool room. On the walk out lower level there are three bedrooms of varying sizes. The first has limited views and is perfect for late sleepers. (King size bed.) The second and third feature breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean. One of these bedrooms is set up as a huge family suite and sleeps four to seven. (Two queens plus a kids loft that sleeps three.) The other is equipped with two day beds that convert into two kings. These three bedrooms share a huge bathroom. There is abundant sea life to enjoy - osprey, dolphins, sea otters... What more could you ask for? The location is excellent: close to the highway, the city and the attractions of the south shore. We had one guest in a wheelchair and he was most impressed- he spent time both in the pool and the ocean; absolutely loved it. It was a family gathering and we had planned both a feast of lobster and a turkey dinner. We had taken certain things with us including a lobster pot and lobster shears, but overall the kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. The “great room” and surrounding enclosed balcony is well laid out and a pleasure in which to relax. It is large enough to escape in: for some to play crib, others to read, some to chat and others just to watch the changing sky. All in all a great four days .

Housed a large family reunion, everyone had plenty of space for quiet time and together fun. The pool was a fantastic hit for all. We cooked, baked, barbeque'd and made bread. The views resembled a veranda from a cruise ship, calm water -- lives up to the Land Yacht title. Truly a great getaway

The house is beautiful with amazing views of the bay. Two of our family members could not make this family reunion so we were a party of five. If we had been the original party of seven, it would have been difficult to arrange everyone comfortably in the bedrooms. the downstairs bedrooms were very warm with no windows to open.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The views were spectacular. Its a beautifully decorated home that is FULLY stocked. Lots of space and the response time when we had any questions was next to none. We'd definitely come back again.

We think that this lovely property needs a little TLC. Had to switch out dehumidifiers, unclog sinks, replace old washing cloths. Window tracks could use a good cleaning, garden could use a good weeding. The covered wood in the garage is getting mould, and the garage smells of it. The left garage door comes off its track. Kitchen is well equipped but could use a good sorting. Towels for bath and kitchen should be replaced.
We enjoyed the space and comfortable furniture. The porch area is a delight. Puzzles and games were also appreciated.
The pool exhaust system is not working properly, and the humidity affects the whole house.

We were evacuated from our home due to a forest fire in our neighborhood. The host was incredible and even offered us 1 night stay free. The House Yacht was exactly what we needed. It had everything we could possibly ask for and more. We would book here again in a heartbeat, highly recommend’

Stay for 3 nights with a few family, friends and young children. We all had a blast. Great for all ages. William. Very comfortable stay. Everything there. Only thing missing to make it more then perfect would be a hot tub hahaha. The pool is amazing. That sunroom over looking the ocean was my favourite, even relaxing on a rainy day.

SUCH a great spot to go for a few days to hang with friends and family!! The pool is amazing! The owners respond within minutes, everything is so organized. House is beautiful and spacious, lots of room to sleep! This house is equipped with everything you need, towels, kitchen items, full washer and dryer so don’t overpack! We love that the house feels comfortable and that there is enough wear that you don’t have to worry about damaging the floors/tables/couches etc. This will forever be an annual booking for us in the winter! Had a great time as always. Been renting this place for quite a few years now for my daughters birthday. It has a lot of room and bathrooms. It's expensive but where can you go and have your own indoors pool to yourself.

Spent Christmas with my family at this huge wonderful house. Great for large families with young children as it is sound proof from upstairs to down, allowing lots of laughs after the children go to bed.
Inside pool was awesome… for both young and old.
Lobster boat in the little harbour, loved it.
Would highly recommend this spot for families and friends.
