About this house rental
Located in Holiday, this lovely house for $175 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This is a beautiful large (almost 1700sq ft.) 2 bedroom (split floor plan) 2 baths waterfront home. You will enjoy the beautiful lake and fishing right off our new dock. There are plenty of trophy size bass, gar, tilapia and some other fish. The interior has laminate floor in the bedrooms, family room, and living room and tile in dining room, hallway, eating area bathroom and kitchen. There is a master-bath in the master bedroom. The property is located on an island surrounded by water. You will enjoy watching wildlife like different types of birds and sometime alligator. **INSIDE LAUNDRY ROOM** Ammenities include: Smart TV wireless internet service, full kitchen, all bedding and lines, towels. Gas BBQ grill. Jon boat for your fun around the lake. Pontoon boat is NOT AVAILABLE for use.

We so enjoyed early morning coffee sitting on the dock.. that made our stay wonderful. Accommodated nicely family living in the area to visit us for dinners! The beds were very comfortable, slept well!

Don’t let anyone tell you that Holiday isn’t a place to stay in vacation. We loved it. Quiet! The house was so incredibly quiet during the day and also at night. The waterway out back was a great place to watch a couple of gators, turtles, and so many egrets and cranes.
Though we didn’t really talk to neighbors because everyone kept to themselves, we didn’t have any conecerns. Properties are kept neat and tidy. We never heard the large amount of traffic on US-19 which is not all that far away.
Perfect proximity to Tarpon Springs, Sunset Beach, Fred Howard Beach, Honeymoon Beach. Low tide, sunrises and sunsets were fabulous at these beaches. ALDIs and Publix grocery was close by as was a gas station and car wash. Visit Lakeview Church in Tarpon Springs on Sunday for a fabulous service that runs only 1 hour and has one of the best worship teams.
As far as this home we were quite comfortable. The house is huge with two living rooms. He kitchen was real nice with a double oven and huge fridge. It had everything a person needs to prepare all meals. Plenty of light throughout, room darkening shades for great sleeping, various types of seating, three different size beds, and really nice accessible bathroom (which is super rare to find), great AC unit, plenty of spare towels and blankets.
For guests considering this home it was mostly clean. We would suggest bringing your own pillows. The pillows provided were flat (needed replacement) and did not have pillow protectors on them. The bed sheets are those super slick ones sold at Walmart and slid off the mattress easily. If you enjoy watching the news (local/national) or have fav programming on the major networks you’ll need a subscription to those channels through apps. The TV is a Roku. We were able to watch dated programming but nothing current. The listing advertised basic cable and Netflix but when we inquired host responded that the house did not have any cable TV and Netflix is something you have to pay for. The internet cut out frequently and we had to reset the TV settings multiple times per day. We felt out of the loop on current events for the two weeks we stayed. The yard service showed up without warning from the host or without a courtesy knock and was suddenly in the back yard and caught us off guard. Host was out of Country so that may be why we didn’t know.
We would most definitely stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this home for a wonderful Holiday in Holiday!

Spacious, clean, comfortable vacation home. We enjoyed watching the birds and a few gators. Nice outdoors areas to relax in. Screened porch, patio and covered deck on the water were enjoyable places to relax. Some traffic noise but you can expect that anywhere along the gulf coast. Grocery stores about a mile away was a plus. Thanks to the hosts!

Great Winter Retreat!
Kong and Linda were great for communication. The house was just as described. We enjoyed our stay. we stayed for the month of February. The house was very comfortable . The back yard being fenced in was great for our dog.

The only items we had to purchase were food, of course.
The location of the house is ideal, as there’s no through traffic, so it was nice and quiet. The backyard is fenced which made it easy to have our two small dogs there as well.
It was really neat to be able to sit out in the backyard and see such a variety of wildlife.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Loo, for a wonderful stay! We wish we could have stayed longer.

This place is beautiful, lots of room, kitchen amenities, the bed slept great, the walk in shower with a shower chair was an added surprise, thank you host. Relax on the dock, fish a little, rods already there, sunbath on the patio, close to shopping and eating places. We enjoyed being here and would book again .

The house had plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed staying on the water and it didn't matter if it rained or shined you had a place to be outside. The covered dock was a favorite. Or you could sun on the patio. We were close enough to the beach, a park, putt putt and places to eat.

Pluses and Minuses
On the plus side, the owner Kong Lee is a courteous and available host. The location is very nice: canal waterfront with a huge bird population, convenience to dining and shopping as well as a short 15 minute drive to the excellent public beach at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. The appliances are quite new and in excellent condition.
On the negative side, the house is old and in need of a thorough cleaning. The waterside covered but unscreened deck/dock would be fine but you'll need to clean off a lot of bird droppings to make it comfortable. The house has a serious and previously mentioned ant problem. The BBQ was filthy upon our arrival but Kong came right out the day we called and cleaned it as best he could.
Bottom line: we adjusted to the conditions and enjoyed our time on the beach and in town/ out and about. From the photos, our expectations might have been unrealistically high.

wonderful stay!!
We stayed here for spring break April 3-7 and I absolutely loved the place!!!! The home was very beautiful! The host were very wonderful and came and made sure we knew how to use the boat and told us if things in the area.. We are hoping to take another trip to Florida in a couple of months and will definitely rent again if available.

Nice place
Rented for month of Jan. This house is a great size and can easily accommodate 5 plus people comfortably. With two bedrooms and baths at different ends of the home it offers great privacy as well. Very functional and great neutral location for heading to south and north attractions. Many nice state and county parks within a 20 - 30 min drive. We were not at a loss for things to do and were perfectly comfortable at the house grilling and hanging out on dock or screened lanai watching the variety of birds. Took the Jon boat out around the canal-note that we didn’t dare passage thru a culvert/bridge pass to Lake Conley. May be possible with a kayak. The paddle boat had received what looked to be storm damage, so was not available. The Jon boat sufficed. The owner had two batteries and a battery tender, so was ready to go. The home is located about a mile or so off of Hwy 19 (very busy-main drag, expect wait times at lights) but we learned alternate roads around during busy times. Was nice having it close by to jump onto if your heading north/south. You can hear traffic background noise, but the neighborhood and dock overall are quiet. Not a fancy neighborhood. Residential 70’s era homes. This home is located on a dead end street, which keeps the immediate neighborhood quaint. We had two small dogs along and appreciated the nice secured fenced backyard. The appliances were overall nice and good working order. The dishwasher sounds like it works ok and cycles fine, but is the older of appliances. After a couple times using it - I opted to hand wash. The owners were easy to work with and respond quickly to any needs. In reference to a previous review-there could be a bit more organization in the drawers and cupboards-but we were able to find anything we needed to function for the month. We had a few ants, but the owner has pest devices in place, so no issues in kitchen or food. Some would show up in bathroom every few days and die. They were really quite insignificant. I would clean with a vinegar/water mixture around baseboard and that seem to keep them at bay for a few days. This house is very clean overall and easy to keep clean with tile/laminate. I like to walk in a house and my socks stay clean-inside cupboards could use a little cleaning/organizing. There is an Aldi and Publix a mile away and some great restaurants as well. We will definitely rent this home again if staying in the area.

Too cluttered. Not very clean. Needs updating. But the owners are very kind.
The place was not very clean and ants were a major problem the whole time. They were everywhere. We asked them to spray but they never did during the 2 months we were there. They have way too much junk in the house. Every drawer and cabinet was full of stuff. Some of it was useful but it was mostly just cluttered. The back yard and dock are very nice and relaxing. It's a quiet neighborhood. But I can't say I would ever come back here.

Wonder Stay!
I can't say enough wonderful things about the property. Great fenced in yard for my 3 dogs. Even with all the crazy rain we had, there was never any threat of flooding which was wonderful. The canal out back isn't effected by the tides. Full kitchen, large fridge, wonderful indoor full size laundry. Tons of blankets and towels. Very comfortable king size bed and even the futon was a great sleep! Loved the screened in lanai to sit and relax without threat of mosquitoes. Owners were wonderful, even had to extend my stay by additional days (luckily it was available) and it was not an issue. Highly recommend, even if you're local, it's a perfect quiet getaway!

Great Getaway
Can't say enough good things about owners...they were friendly and helpful and the house was clean, well-stocked, and has split bedrooms which allowed for privacy for me and for my daughter who accompanied me. Loved the paddle boat. Nice place for entertaining my family who live in Holiday. Would definitely rent again.
