We loved staying at the cabin. It is super clean and stocked with everything you need to enjoy a great vacation….pots and pans, towels, beach towels and chairs, condiments, coffee and keurig, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. The views from the cabin are breathtaking. We enjoyed watching seals right from the deck. It is also close to restaurants and a small grocery store. We found it to be a great location for what we wanted to do on Cape Breton….Cabot trail, skyline trail, gypsum mine trail, highland village. Ann was so helpful and responsive. She is a fabulous host. Just a couple pieces of info that may be helpful because it was info I was interested in. There is WiFi and internet. The internet is very slow so prob not suitable for working. The indoor shower is small, esp since my husband and I are tall. There is a roomy outdoor shower though. The beach access for the locals is right in front of the cabin so you won’t get complete privacy in that sense. The locals are very friendly and we did enjoy talking with people from the area. Many of them have dogs. We brought our dog and he loved people watching. Be sure to take a drive/walk up the road, past the cabin for some amazing views!!! We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay at the cabin again.

We had a great stay at Ann’s cabin! The location, right beside the beach, is amazing. The water was warm enough to swim and play in the waves. The sunsets were terrific. The cabin is small but very comfortable for a family of 4 and is very well equipped (kitchen supplies, beach chairs, games, etc). Ann was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

We couldn't have picked a better spot for a much-needed early September week's getaway. The cottage is basic in the way we like a cottage to be - equipped with everything we might need but able to take sandy feet and a dog - or a dog with sandy feet - in stride. The bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen are small but completely functional. The living room is huge, with a picture window giving a panoramic view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, which has so many moods you can watch it for hours. This is a room that invites you to loll with a book, paint, sketch, knit or do puzzles, if the weather isn't the best. The deck is spacious and well furnished for enjoying the same views when the weather is fine. When a storm or high wind kicks up the surf it's a magnificent sight. We also enjoyed several spectacular sunsets. On a clear night, the inky sky is thick with stars that you never see when living in a city. One night we watched spectacular heat lightning on the ocean horizon for almost an hour. Wearing our beach shoes we waded through the small stream beside the cottage at low tide for some amazing rock hounding around the point. At low tide, the water was warm enough for even us old folks to venture in for a short dip, then wash off in the outdoor shower. What a lovely touch! A short drive away, long sandy Inverness Beach is amazing for walks. For some reason there's also an amazing amount of beach glass to be found there. We aren't golfers but lots of people mentioned the Cabot Links course, right beside the beach. There are also lots of trails for walking or cycling a short car ride away and places such as Cheticamp and the Highland Village at Iona are fascinating for longer excursions. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again. Thank you, Ann, for making us so welcome.
