About this house rental
Nestled in Big Sky, this charming house for $779 per night is a great option for your next trip. Located in the beautiful resort of Big Sky, Montana, our “Little Big Sky" Guest Cabin sits on 6 private riverfront acres, surrounded by 360-degree views of the Spanish Peak mountain range. Our 4BR, 3BA rustic hewn log home sits only 75 ft above the Gallatin River (west fork) and offers a private, peaceful setting within close proximity to Big Sky attractions and activities, including horseback, fly fishing, hiking, golf, shopping, whitewater rafting and more. The cabin is located just 2 miles from the main Town Center and the ski slopes are only an 8-mile drive. The west entrance to Yellowstone Park is only a 40-minute drive. The property features river access, a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, a 7-person hot tub, a vast open yard and acres of sagebrush and pines. The cabin sleeps 8 adults (4 queen beds) and 2 children (1 bunk). This is a rare site in that it includes 1200 feet of fishable river frontage on the West Fork of the Gallatin River. The property is only one mile from the fabled main Gallatin River (featured in 'A River Runs Through It') for fly fishing, hiking and Class 3 whitewater rafting. Activities include blue ribbon fly-fishing, whitewater rafting on the Gallatin, scenic lift, biking, hiking, nearby playgrounds and parks, floating down the Madison River, golf, horseback and zip lining. Winter activities: skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country and sleigh rides. The new BASE Recreation Center is open year round and offers day passes for workouts, rock wall climbing, yoga and spin classes and art activities, all just two miles from the cabin. Our home is cozy, comfortable and well-equipped, and we have many families stay with us. We truly enjoyed our visit to Montana, this cabin made it even better. The cabin was beautiful and fully equipped. The outside views were amazing. We saw deer every morning come by the house . It was close to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons . Our host was wonderful.. we hope to go back again.. perfect

Paul is a great host with quick response to any questions I had. All the amenities you will ever need when your away from home, great location to town! Love the working hot tub. Woke up to make coffee, opened the shade above the kitchen sink to have a huge sweet mama moose and her baby eating the flowers in front of the porch (so cool!!), You don't see that in Florida EVER, so of course I was thrilled. Will defiantly stay again. Everyone in our party loved the home. Oh I forgot to mention the awesome creek on the property we hung out at. thank you again Paul

We truly enjoyed our time and stay at “Little Big Sky”! The cabin was well stocked and just as we had hoped it would be. Everything worked and looked great and the setting was very pretty. Paul, the owner was responsive and professional.
If your looking for a cabin by a creek in the mountains in lower Big Sky this place will not disappoint.

We could not have asked for a better host than Paul. He provided us with local recommendations and insight that you won’t find with other VRBOs. The personal touch was great!
The cabin has all the accommodations that two families of five would need. We fit comfortably and had great time off our devices speaking to each other face to face … refreshing!
We enjoyed skiing, dog sledding, and fly fishing. All world class.

Location was fantastic with easy access to everything. Skiing , food , snowshoeing, snowmobiling. Snowball fights, hot tub. Paul was great and made sure we had a Christmas tree stand at the house. Fantastic host. Used his car on Turo as well which was a great feature.

Excellent stay and location. River access on property was amazing. Central location to Bozeman, Yellowstone, and the Tetons. Less than 20 minutes to Big Sky Lodge for skiing.

Very nice property that is clean and had everything we needed for 8 adults over two weeks. Communication with Paul was excellent. The GMC vehicle option is nice. The only slight downside is that you cant really fish on the property, but there are tons of options very close. Groceries in Big Sky are pretty pricey. We stocked up in Bozeman which is only 45 minutes or so away. We had a wonderful trip and would highly reccomend The Little Big Sky.

We had a great time at Paul's place. He's exceptional at communication and we felt very welcomed. Since we visited in August, we really appreciated staying so close to the Gallatin/191 as fishing, rafting and hiking were all so accessible. There was a lot of traffic heading up/down Lone Mountain, seemed to be due to all the building/construction going on - it was pretty pokey when we went to Beehive Basin (wonderful hike near the ski base). The house is very private, and my husband even caught a couple trout in the stream on the property! The kids enjoyed the games especially the pool/air hockey table, and large amount of books on hiking, fly fishing and Montana added to the adults' experience. Kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to cook meals. Beds were comfortable and there were plentiful pillows and blankets. Thank you, Paul! We'd love to visit again.

Magic in the Mountains
Beautiful location just outside of Big Sky. Amazing view of the mountain from the hot tub. Easy walk to the Gallatin River with a bench overlooking it and the sound of rushing water over rocks. Very peaceful and great location for my young family.

The cabin was everything we expected and then some. We loved the privacy and views. The roaring fireplace was a great gathering place to retell the days adventure. Awesome experience!

Perfect to come back to from a day of skiing!
We celebrated a big birthday with two other couples over a 5-day stay and could not have loved Little Big Sky more. We made coffee and lunches, drove up the mountain, skied all day and got everyone back to the cabin, without complaint, for the hot tub and fireplace.
The location is perfect for access to all that Big Sky has to offer. We took advantage of all the cookware for some nights in and the dryer for all the hot tub towels! Each couple had their own bathroom and plenty of privacy.
We were all planning our family ski trips as we packed up. Lone Mountain is an awesome place to ski for all levels and Little Big Sky is an awesome cabin for any combination of family and friends intending to enjoy the winter wonderland!
Thank you, Paul, for making this a truly memorable birthday getaway.

We saw a mama moose and her baby resting by by water at the bottom of the hill one afternoon and a black bear right in the backyard one evening! Paul was an excellent host. Could really hold way more people than the 5 of us. Owner was quick to respond to all our question leading up to and during our stay. Got the bonus of seeing a couple bears drinking at the stream. We’d definitely stay here again.

We did a lot of cooking or picking up food to eat at this beautiful cabin. So thankful for the large table! The washer and dryer were large capacity and conveniently located. The hot tub and deck were very nice! The air hockey/foozball table and the double hammock were a hit! We did not use the beautiful fireplace or the outdoor fire pit as there was a burn ban. But, we did use the nice sized grill after an ok from the Fire Dept for our last night there. Worked great and the guys cooked! The owner, Paul, was so nice and even gave us tips on where to shop and things to do during our stay. He answered any inquiries very promptly. We would definitely recommend Little Big Sky to anyone visiting the Yellowstone/Big Sky area!

Paul is definitely a super host! The property was wonderful and Paul has it stocked down to hair dryers in every bathroom, toiletries in every bathroom, books for kiddos, baby gate installed, pack n play available, charging stations by each bed, klennex in every bathroom, fans in bedrooms. And the property is spacious, with a well maintained spa and camp fire area, stocked with firewood. (BBQ too, although we didn’t use) He is responsive ( had one issue and he was on it) We had 2 grandparents, 3 adult kids, 2 grandchildren and house was perfect for all. We even saw a deer one evening sitting on the porch. Hope to visit again soon Thank you Paul.
