Hi-Speed WiFi; I work from the house regularly when I stay there and I require reliable Hi-Speed internet access for work. NOTICE: as of Dec 1 2020, Wintergreen Resort has discontinued Member-Guest passes which provided Guests like access to the WinterGarden Spa and Lake Monocan. Short Walk to Mountain Inn and Ski Slopes! House located on the cul-de-sac just behind the Firehouse Black Bear Sightings on Property regularly - when they aren't hibernating! Guests have seen them on property in April/May, Summer and Fall so far this year. This home is conveniently located on a quiet cul-de-sac behind the Fire Station within walking distance to the Mountain Inn, Wintergreen Resort Ski & Snowboard Slopes, Black Rock Market & WinterGreen Mountain Inn Lodge. It sits in a ½ acre lot with its own creek and spring in the backyard. Wintergreen Trail Directly off property: Laurel Ridge Loop for a hike to nearby waterfalls. Our stay was excellent!! Was within walking distance to everything and super close to the Fire Station. We loved the open concept to the kitchen and living room. We hope to rent this same hose again.

The location is lovely. The cabin is as advertised and was convenient to hiking, snow tubing, and breweries. There were 5 of us and it felt crowded at times in the main gathering space. There are a lot of heavily scented air fresheners that aggravated my allergies and the baseboards need a good scrubbing or fresh paint. Otherwise, it was a nice space.

Scott’s place was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and the hot tub after a day on the super-close slopes. Everything was perfect!

As soon as walked in there was a terrible smell that we could not get rid of. Sliding glass door would not open and had a hole where lock should be, where anykind of small animal could crawl thru.

This was for a two night getaway for a bunch of guys and this house really did the trick. It has plenty of space, rooms and beds (including a fun little loft with a mattress. The hot tub was an excellent source of relaxation and fun. The trails right out back are a nice way to get moving and get the blood flowing and it’s proximity to all of the breweries/distilleries/wineries is top notch.
The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because the zip line that is featured in some of the photos doesn’t exist any longer for liability reasons (which we understand, but if that is the case can it be taken off of the listing?) Also, there is an odor when first entering the house. It lingered even after a solid day with all windows and doors open in an attempt to air it out.

The location is great and the stay was nice. My wife and I got bit up pretty bad by bed bugs and we noticed mouse poop in the cubards. Despite those set backs, everything else was smooth sailing, we had a lot of fun.

I can't say enough good things about the host of this property. We had a prior reservation cancelled without notice and we were able to secure this last minute reservation. The host was very responsive and the cabin was exactly as described.

This property was exactly as described and pictured. It had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable. The location was wonderful with ample parking. Even though temps were below freezing this home kept us warm and supplied with all that we needed. The parking and the ability to walk through multiple culdesacs was an added treat for the dogs. Supplied with everything we needed and instructions for arrival and departure was very clear and helpful. The hot tub was an added treat braved it even in the frigid temps. We were able to celebrate an amazing Christmas together. Will definitely be back!

Didn't mind the spiderwebs and spiders because yes it is a cabin in the woods, but for the price I would expect to show up and have everything ready and not have to fumble around turning on the water and water heater after a late arrival. Especially since we were only staying two nights. The space itself is nice and cozy; easily fit all six of us. I would have expected a stay like this if friends let me stay for free at their place, but am disappointed since we paid what we did. Would not stay again.

We lived our stay. The beds we're comfy, 2 living room areas, the best hot tub. It is close thd market, which is a plus. And there is the cutest creek near by. The house is as described. Highly recommend this property.
