About this house rental
Located in South Haven, this lovely house for $294 per night is a great option for your next trip. Comfy and quiet! This is the perfect place to enjoy a trip to the beach. Please note that during the peak season which runs mid June through the end of August, we are only accepting FRIDAY to FRIDAY reservations. All other times, we allow 3 day minimum stays and flexible check in/out days. The sun porch now has huge, brand new windows that are easy to open and lock automatically when they are closed. They also make the porch cooler by blocking some of the heat of the sun with Low-E glass and larger screens to let the breezes through. The storm door has a full window and a secret sliding screen for even more breeze. We also put in new flooring and fresh coat of paint. All of these updates makes this great space even more enjoyable. The master bedroom also has a new sliding window for folks that prefer to turn off the AC when they sleep. This house is perfect for 4 adults with up to 4 children. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a half bath, conveniently located front-loading washer and dryer, and custom built-in cabinetry built by the home's former owner. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and dresser. The third bedroom has been designed for up to 4 kids. It has a full/twin bunk bed as well as a roll-out twin trundle. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal including pots and pans, stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and table settings for 8. A table-height counter seats 4. The dining room has a table that seats 6-8. The living room not only has a 46' HD TV (with Roku and High Speed Internet), with comfy furniture to relax on, but also a number of board games for a family to play on the corner game table. For rainy days or cool nights, the screened porch is a great place to socialize and enjoy your favorite summer drink. Outside, there is a picnic table and gas grill to provide you a place for the perfect meal in the spacious back yard. Kids Corner, a fantastic public park, is only 2 blocks away with the stairs to the South Beach another block more. Downtown South Haven is only a 15 minute walk. If you enjoy biking, the Van Buren trail head is only a block away! This is a 4.5 mile paved trail that goes all the way to the State Park. There is another trail that is dirt that goes all the way to Harford. The trail head for the Kal-Haven trail is only 2 miles away.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Harry’s house. House was clean and cute! We loved the fresh flowers on the dining table! We liked that we were in walking distance to the beach and town. Not even a bad walk with kids. The owners were helpful and friendly.

We had the nicest time staying at this house. It's spacious, clean and in a very safe area. A very small walk to the beach and you have the best view of Lake M.
The only con is the bathrooms are small and there is no hose outside to wash off the sand from the beach. We are booking again for next year!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Harry's House. The home is older with lots of vintage charm. It was very comfortable and the systems are all up-to-date. It was like staying at home, but near the beach, lots of attractions, and wonderful restaurants. We hope to return in the future.

We spent two weeks at Harry’s House and cannot say enough about the property. It is a great location for easy access to the park, beach and downtown. Property has a nice backyard and a picnic table for outdoor dining. We also loved spending time in the screened porch area.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our family of four. It was in a good location. We loved the back yard and appreciated we were able to use the garage to store our bikes. We loved south haven and will definitely be back!

It is a lovely place, but the apartment smelled a little when We came in, but it aired out. Good kitchen equipment. Good beds and linen. Lots of towels and toilet paper. Two toilets. Very lovely veranda. Close to beach and downtown.
It would help to have more lite in bedrooms. All in all, it was a good experience.

Everything we needed and so close to Kids' Corner and the beach!
Lovely, comfy, quiet. We had everything we needed in the exact area we wanted to stay in. Beach toys, chairs, lawn chairs, grill, coffeemaker, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer...all of the things that we look for in our SH rentals. Owner/s were accessible if needed, as well. Jennifer introduced herself and said if we need anything to let her know (she lives next door). A few things to note: the washer and dryer are in the master bedroom which didn't bother us, but might bother others if they are doing laundry in the evening and going to bed at the same time. We had a small ant problem on the kitchen counter towards the end of our stay, but we immediately put out traps and they disappeared. There was a musty smell to the house when we arrived, but we did adjust to it. The house is quaint and older, and we have experienced the same odor in other rentals. I think it's hard to control. :( We adored the sunroom so much, definitely our favorite room! We also cozied up in the living room for family movie night. The kids loved the bunk and trundle bed! We loved the flowers from the garden on the dining room table at our arrival. There are black raspberry bushes and a beautiful garden surrounding the house! We were also touched by the pictures of Harry, documenting the house and former owner and the changes to the house over time. A very unique and appreciated touch! Great stay!

Good location, very clean, comfortable bedding, nice property original 50's interior. If several adults the one full bath bath is very small. Another small half bath accessed off master bedroom. The garage was perfect for storing our bikes and helmets. The gas grill was a welcome addition so we could cook out. The board games were a hit with our kids as were the bunk beds! It was a short walk to an amazing playground where we went several times a day. The beach was a mere three blocks away. I cannot recommend this home enough and we will definitely be visiting again!

We loved our two weeks at Harry's House. The location is walking distance to the beach and downtown. It has everything our family needed for an enjoyable vacation and reminds me of the house my grandparents built. Looking forward to visiting again next year!

Our family of 6 had an enjoyable time at Harry's House for Labor Day weekend. Everything we needed was there or quickly available. We appreciated the little touches such as fresh flowers and all the games for the cool mornings. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived and we were even greeted when we drove up. This property was wonderful! The home was very clean and cozy and had plenty of space. Just a short walk to a more private part of South Beach and a three-minute drive to the downtown. 9 minutes away from a blueberry farm and the host even lent me her pie tin. Overall the perfect getaway. :)
