Maya's Bajan Villas Inc, located overlooking Maxwell, Christ Church, offers a luxurious yet quaint rental opportunity to people looking for a private getaway for short and long terms periods. The villa building is two levels, each of which has its own entrance and primary facilities. Each can be rented independently or together. Each storey has it's own unique features. The top villa B unit boasts lofted ceilings, open concept kitchen, dining, and living space, four bedrooms, wash room, and private patios. The lower level villa A unit offers open concept entertainment value with sunken living and dining rooms, common wash room, powder room, kitchen with full bar, wired stereo, a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a large second bedroom, and private patios. Shared features include: laundry, outdoor shower, exterior barbecue, a covered, vented, two-car garage, and spacious front and back yards. True Bajan Feel and Atmosphere: On site you can enjoy the comforts of home with laundry, clean off your salt and sand with an outdoor shower, and kick up your feet on expansive patio spaces or open concept living. Waking up for a morning walk to the beach and being greeted by the locals 100% of the time is heart-warming. A local pub, Oistens Fish Market, and their famous Friday night Fish Fry, a grocery store, are all steps away. The St. Lawrence Gap is only a 15 minute walk away. Why Barbados?: Travelling to Barbados for almost 40 years tells you enough. Many things may have changed over the years however, the undeniable true characteristics that have remained are the people and culture of Barbados. They are second to none. Salt of the earth. Being located directly on the ocean did not interest us very much. Do not get us wrong, the beaches and the ocean beauty are second to none in the Caribbean but to truly experience the sweetness of Barbados is to experience it directly within the Bajan Culture. Choosing a property that allowed us to mix with the locals and live with the locals was paramount in our property purchase. The Owners: We are a well travelled family who enjoy the many wonderful joys that the world, and life, has to offer. The relaxed and peaceful Caribbean culture is one of our favourite loves.

One month in Barbados - what could be better - well this villa made it better. There were four (and sometimes six) of us staying in the upper unit of the villa and it was just as advertised. It was bright and airy; extremely clean; the beds comfortable; the kitchen well equipped; and it was close to the local minibus transportation (just US$1 per trip) which picks you up and lets you off anywhere you want from Oistins to Bridgetown. Local buses were the same price to attractions all over the island. We didn't need air conditioning in the villa as with the windows open there was a comfortable breeze blowing through. The owner, Ed, was prompt in answering questions and provided links and lots of Barbados information. The managers, Jonathan and Sonia, were extremely helpful and provided all we asked for. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone wanting to spend time in Barbados.

This Villa had tons of room, all the essentials and walking distance to all our favorite spots. This Villa is in the Heart of what Barbados is and you get to experience a real vacation. Its the only place I will ever visit, and cant wait till I go back!

The property is as close to the real Barbados as a visitor can get and makes a great base to explore the island and have an alternative to the typical sheltered beachfront all-inclusive. Beaches are definitely there; the local one down at the end of the street or the trendier Dover beach and the Gap a few minutes drive further. Try one of the local minivan taxis for a ridiculously cheap mode of transport to all the resorts, beaches and sights that puts you in touch with the true local experience. On other islands this might not be a good thing, but not in Barbados. The people make this place awesome. They are the most friendly, polite and considerate folks in a tropical setting ever. We had a lovely relaxing stay at Maya’s. I came in direct contact with the owner, Edward. From there on it was an uphill experience. We were 3 generations that felt very privileged to stay on your property for a week while exploring the beautiful island of Barbados.
We arrived and were warmly greeted by Sonia on the terrace. The house is even better than it appeared online. Beautiful view, comfortable bedrooms, tasteful decorations and the house was clean, clean, clean. (That was my biggest fear)
Sonia and John were wonderful to work with. The kitchen was easy to work in, we cooked dinners there the nights we did not eat locally. We cooked breakfast each morning as the grocery store was within walking distance. Both villas were really lovely and had everything we needed, dishes, clothing iron,pots, pans, WIFI phone books extra beach towels...Everything was considered.
The beds were comfortable and the nights were very peaceful and quiet.
As a Texan, naturally my next concerns were mosquitoes and a lack of air conditioners. Neither of these were ever a problem. Literally every room in both units have fans and an abundance of windows which combined kept cool air circulating throughout the villa.
Even though the villas were gated, my boyfriend loved that there is a safe where you can store your valuables and that there are motion lights for extra security
Altogether it was an unforgettable vacation with amazing memories hopefully to be repeated in the near future. This is bar none the BEST place to stay in Christ Church. Again, the professionalism paired with warmth of Sonia, John and Edward were top notch.

Maya's Bajan Villas
We just came back from a 13 day stay at Maya's Bajan Villa. Prior to the trip Edward was very helpful and would either call or email back with any questions I had for him. We used his recommendations for surfing and tours and we were thrilled with them. Upon arriving Jonathan went out of his way to take us to the grocery store and gave us suggestions on places to eat and what to do while there. The house is stunning, well laid out with everything you need and super clean. Beaches are close and the public transportation is a must and very convenient. We walked at all hours and felt very safe in the neighbourhood. I would recommend this rental for just about anyone! Can't wait to go back

We stayed here from Feb 5-14,2016. It was perfect. Edward and Jonathan were so helpful with our trip. Jonathan went over the map with us and recommended beaches to snorkel, great sights to visits, and what restaurants. This really helped make our trip terrific.We stayed upstairs in rental B with 4 rooms and there was four of us. Great views and there is always a breeze through the windows so not having air conditioning was never a problem. Jonathan had mosquitos spray available to us but we can honestly say we never saw any our whole trip and we were all over the island. The outdoor shower was great when we came back from the beach. The house is plenty stocked with anything you need like dishes, pots for cooking, towels, extra bedding, barbecue, toys and books. The house is gated and the area was very safe. Buses were a 5 minute walk and it was a 15 minute walk to Oistens to eat,get groceries, banking and lovely beaches. There were beaches closer too but I really liked Miami Beach. Jonathan provided with a cell phone if we needed it and he was always available to us. We toured the downstairs rental which had less bedroom and we would definitely stay there too. It was very easy to get to where ever we wanted to go and the buses constantly go by and run until midnight. We walked to Luigis restaurant one night too and it was a 15 min walk and very safe. We loved this area and would rent here again. You are in great hands with Edward and Jonathan.

Stayed with a group of 11 people all in our mid 20s and had a blast. The villa is spacious, plenty of towels, appliances, and kitchen utensils. The villa is located on a quiet neighborhood street which was great for privacy. Beach is a 5 min walk , maybe less from the villa. Restaurants, Bars, and other tourist attractions are nearby. Most tourist attractions require a car ride, but aren't too far away as the island is pretty small.Would definitely stay again, and hopefully sometime soon.

Although this was a newer area for us to stay in, we found our way around very easily. Shopping, beaches, restaurants and the supermarket all nearby. ZR busses took us to many other favourite places.

Fantastic vacation
What a wonderful spacious beautiful villa. Comfortable clean and private. It's located on a quiet safe residential street. Fully equipped with everything you need and more. Beaches supermarkets and other conveniences are within walking distance and/ or a short bus or taxi ride away depending on your destination.
We will gladly stay at this villa on future visits to Barbados.

Great times!!
This place was absolutely stunning. Very clean and so well maintained. I particularly enjoyed the interior floor plan of this villa as it was so elegantly designed to provide an airy sense of living space. Located on a quiet street And conveniently located 10 minutes from airport. Everything is easily accessible. Beautiful beaches are within a short walk away.
Very relaxing and would definitely return. Very easy to book too , the owners are fantastic people!

Will be back here again
This villa was in a great location. My guests and I loved the accommodations and the ease at which we were able to get around. Johnathan was extremely helpful in suggesting places of interest and explaining the ways of the island. He truly was instrumental in making sure our stay in Barbados was well received. I would recommend this villa for anyone who is looking for local but luxury accommodations. When I go back I will not have to look for a place to stay, they have me hooked.

Great Place!!!
We rented the place as we were in Barbados for a wedding. We had the downstairs unit
very well equipped and on a quiet street. There is one queen bed very comfortable in one bedroom and one queen in second bedroom and also a single bed in that bedroom too. No one was upstairs. It is 2 blocks from bus and 20 minutes to grocery store. The unit is equipped with some basic staples and toilet paper, Kleenex and soap. Cheaper to take taxi from airport than have property manager pick you up. You can walk to to the beach 3 or 4 blocks away.
The unit hasn't any air conditioning but always a good breeze and ceiling fans in most rooms.
There aren't too many places to dine within walking distance only Charlie's Bar and Grill.
Owner is excellent to deal with. T.V. has 999 stations so always something to watch and free
internet access that works well. Be sure to go to the Oistins Fish Fry Friday night 20 min. walk.
We would rent the place again. Photos reflect exactly how the place is and property is well maintained.

Love It Here
This was my second time staying here and just like the first, I loved every minute of it. When you're here it feels like home. Couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

Family Reunion
The location is perfect, with easy access to Oistin and several beaches. We had 4 couples (us, 3 children + spouses and 2 grandchildren), 2 couples and grandchildren were upstairs with 2 couples downstairs. We used the main floor kitchen and dining most of the time and there was plenty of cooking utensils, etc. The manager was quite helpful in getting us settled and answer questions. The rooms were adequately furnished with the only negative being the quality of the kitchen drawers.
Oistin Fish Fry is a must to attend on Friday night. Miami Beach is great was great for the grand kids, as was Dover and Accra, however the beach directly West of the house was quiet.
We managed to get around mostly using local transportation, but rented a car for 3 days to visit some sights that were more distance such as East Coast, Crane Beach and the Wildlife Refuge.

Greatest Place on the Island
This villa is located in a great place with the best price. The villa was very clean and well maintained. The beach was amazing too. Thank you Mia's Bajan Villa for a true relaxing Bajan experiance. Cant wait to go back for a golfing trip!!

Fantastic
We had an amazing time here. The house was exactly as described, everything was in great condition and very clean and fresh. Booking was incredibly easy and everyone was extremely helpful. The neighborhood is great, far enough where you can get some peace and quiet and close enough to where just about everything is easily accessible. Jonathan was awesome - couldn't ask for better. I would 100% return and recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time on the island.
