The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Access to the garage was very helpful for loading and unloading. Great little house. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I came to visit Vermont to escape the heat and experience a true Fall for the first time! We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. The property is undersold on the listing.. it’s absolutely perfect! Great location and well accommodated! It rained the entire time we were here so the garage came in clutch! This was a great bonus we didn’t know we would appreciate so much.

We really enjoyed the house. Very cozy and the fireplace is lovely. We stayed with our two young children and it worked great for us. One thing I would say for families staying here with small kids: the doors can be easily opened to the outside. We had our boys sleeping on the pullout couch in the living room and we were upstairs, so we ended up placing our heavy suitcases in front of the front and back doors each night for peace of mind.
Great stay and Denise was very accommodating. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in the area!

Everything about Denise’s place was great. The location was handy to everything in & around Stowe. It was quiet & private. Other people had said it was even nicer than the pictures & it was. Denise is super nice & even left us a welcoming gift of Vermont with a nice note. Highly recommend!

This beautiful guest house is everything advertised and more. The interior is comfortable, the jetted tub luxurious and the kitchen has all necessary conveniences. If Stowe is your destination I highly recommend staying here.

This property was a great choice for the two us. The home is well kept and incredibly neat.
Attention to detail and the comfort of guests appeared to be this owner’s goal and it was achieved. In addition, she was easy to contact and responded quickly to the couple of questions we had. Anyone interested in renting should also know that the location of this home makes for a convenient drive to all activities.

Very clean, peaceful and private. We were able to walk into town and to many restaurants. Planning on booking again next winter. Wonderful storage for our extended stay and plenty of room for skis and boots, etc.

Like many have said before us, the house is far better in person than the photos show. Very clean, very comfortable, and toasty warm on some very cold days. Surprisingly roomy, with loads of very clever storage everywhere. We really enjoyed the use of and the easy access from the garage.
Entry is by electronic code, and there’s a nice entrance mudroom with bench for taking of muddy or wet boots and handing jackets and such.
Kitchen was very well specced out – we were able to cook our Thanksgiving dinner as well as several other meals during our week with ease – the only thing we missed having was a ladle! Appliances are all high grade and look and feel newish. For hot beverages you have the choice of an electric kettle or stovetop kettle for making tea, and a drip or K-cup for making coffee – pods provided.
The living area with a lovely picture window looking out on woods and the pond and features a large couch and a couple of upholstered chairs with loads of pillows to arrange as you wish. We used the gas fireplace several times, but with the heated floors we were quite warm without it most times.
The TV is quite small for these days, but has lots of channels when you want to veg out.
The bathroom boasts both soaking tub and separate shower, plus the washer and dryer. Double sinks to make sharing the single bathroom easier. Heated floors here too!
The single bedroom is upstairs, featuring loads of storage for whatever you may be bringing in, and a comfy king-sized bed with snuggly comforter and extra pillows if you need them (I did).
The location is very central to pretty much everything you would need or want while also being in a very quiet and seemingly secluded area.
Denise left us a lovely welcome gift of Vermont staples and was extremely responsive to any and all questions I had. We are really looking forward to staying here again!

We are full time travelers so have stayed at many vacation rentals and this is one of the best. It was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming, and very comfortable. It is furnished as a home not a rental with ample comfortable seating, a good mattress and quality linens. The bathroom is on the main floor and the bedroom upstairs- something to consider if that’s an issue for you. The attached garage was super convenient. Although you are close to town it feels like you are in your own little world. We would definitely stay here again…and not just for the great host or the Vermont goodies Denise had out to greet us😉

The online pictures don't do this property justice. We were in awe as soon as we walked in, and felt very much at home. Great location. Denise was a wonderful host. We can't wait to go back! Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this cottage for one week in August. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing and actually even more charming once we arrived. The owner Denise was very responsive prior to the trip letting us know what we needed about the property. The kitchen was fully stocked, grill in working order, bathroom, living area, and bedroom well maintained. Highly recommend!

Month long getaway in Stowe
I stayed for the month and while I was there I found everything I needed. The location was excellent with a small grocery store just down the road. Hot tub was a nice bonus. Bedroom is upstairs and bathroom is downstairs FYI.

Dream Stay

Wonderful guest house in forest setting
Enjoyed peak fall colors. Centrally located. Very clean. Comfortable enough for two of us . Everything provided (Keurig was provided; we used our own coffee maker). TV was small, could benefit from update. Overall, very peaceful setting, close enough to downtown Stowe, shopping.

Nice little house in quiet location
The house was nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the connecting garage was excellent for loading and unloading the car etc. The view from the living room of the woods was nice. The bathroom, which is downstairs, was very well appointed with a big walk in shower and jacuzzi bath. The bedroom is upstairs and the only bathroom is downstairs which, because of mobility issues, caused us a few problems. The house is not walking distance to any bars and restaurants and you definitely need a car to go anywhere. However, we felt Stowe was a good location for sight seeing etc. We felt that the TV could do with updating, it was quite old and had no USB ports to plug in any entertainment devices.
All in all, we liked the house and had a lovely fall foliage vacation in Vermont

What a rare gem to find to spend the weekend in. This home was beautiful! The surrounding grounds were stunning and private. The home was very clean and maintained. We can't wait to come back and wouldn't definitely rent here again!

Adorable cottage!
Denise is a great host and has an amazing property! It was very clean and everything worked perfectly. The quiet setting in the woods, but still being close to everything was perfect! We loved the Vermont goodies she welcomed us with when we first arrived! And the bottle of wine to celebrate my graduation! We'll never forget our stay and will definitely be back :)

Great spot and great value
We were up for the Stowe lax festival and some additional family were looking to come up on short notice. Came across this guest house and it was perfect. Had two adults and two kids so brought an air mattress with us as Denise, the owner, noted ahead of time the sleeping arrangements might be a little tight. Compared to the prices at area hotels on this weekend the value was outstanding. Lots of room, fully functional kitchen, washer/dryer, jacuzzi tub and great combination shower/steam. Additionally, the full garage was a pleasant surprise and I have to imagine this is a huge bonus in the winter months. Location was also a positive, just a mile or so off the bustle of Mountain Road but easily accessible to it. Denise was very pleasant to work with and we couldn't have had a better experience.

High Expectations, Better Than Expected
Based on other reviews, we had high expectations for our stay here. It did not disappoint. The house was clean, well maintained, and nicely furnished as shown in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed for all our meals. We had a couple of questions during our stay, and the owner was very responsive and helpful.
We would readily recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet stay close to town. We are avid walkers and found no issue walking into town for daily provisions, but this is probably not for everyone. Regardless of your mode of transit, the location is excellent for exploring the area.

Perfect location & comfort for fall leaves!
We had a lovely stay here! Close to Stowe and all of the wonderful shops, galleries, and restaurants yet out in the country enough to enjoy the quiet of nature. Very comfortable for a relaxing trip. Bistro at Ten Acres and the Whip were great for dinner. Harvest Market is a fun stop for baked goods and picnic specialties. Café on Main for breakfast. Inside Out Gallery is worth a stop for their unique pieces. Loved the short, easy hikes in Wiessner Woods, Bingham Falls, and Moss Glen Falls. Hope to visit again soon and already encouraging friends!

A wonderful stay!
We just returned from a lovely week at Denise's rental home in Stowe, Vermont. The home was absolutely beautiful--cozy, clean and comfortable. It was so nice to sit on the couch with the gas fireplace going on one side and a picture-window view of snow-dusted evergreens on the other. Denise, our hostess, was a delight throughout the booking process and our stay. It really makes the whole experience of renting a private home so much nicer when you have a good feeling about the owner, and we certainly did.
The photos of the property included in the posting are helpful, but I must agree with another reviewer that they don't even do it justice. The place surpassed our expectations. Plus there is a two-headed shower! One of my favorite things after skiing. And how nice to have an attached garage so you can load the car in comfort despite the weather!
The home is also in a great location both for convenient access to the mountain for skiing and to the village of Stowe for dining, touring and walking the Recreation Path. Harrison's was a particularly great place for dinner (recommended by Denise), and we also enjoyed the Whip and O'Grady's. In addition, if you plan to stay in, the kitchen in the house is well equipped. We cooked several meals and loved the open kitchen layout.
We were so happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. And of course, we hope to have the occasion to come back in the future as well! Thank you, Denise!

Great house!
My son and I skied at Stowe for 3 days, and this place was perfect. Quiet, at the edge of the woods, everything new, clean and in perfect condition. Denise was completely accessible, gracious and ready to answer any questions. Overall, top-shelf, and I'll plan to stay here again when we come to Stowe.

Perfectly Wonderful!
My husband and I stayed here while celebrating our 30th anniversary, and we hope to come back for our 35th! This house is beautiful, warm, welcoming and wonderful. From the Vermont goodies left on the table to the bottle of "anniversary" wine in the fridge, Denise is an awesome hostess. The house was immaculate, and the furnishings and decor are so homey. We will be recommending her place to anyone who wants a "home away from home" while on vacation. And if you are lucky, Diamond will come visit, and maybe even sit on your lap!

Beautiful home!
This was our first time to Vermont, and we loved every minute of it. The house was beautiful and very clean, extremely clean, the Owner was very kind and very helpful. Having a clean place to stay is the top of my list when it comes to looking for a vacation rental or hotel, and this home surpassed my expectations. Will stay again, and would highly recommend the property to others. Great for a romantic getaway.
