Rapport qualité prix décevant

Propriétaire réactive avec une réservation de dernière minute. À Merville on est proche de toutes les commodités.

Difficile de se garer dans cette partie de Merville. Face à l'école c'est bruyant jusqu'en fin d'après-midi (fin de garderie vers 18h30). La cuisine était une catastrophe, le frigo n'était pas branché, le four tient avec des cales, et la plaque vitrocéramique est trop épaisse pour le plan de travail. Ça dissuade de cuisiner quoique ce soit. On s'est retrouvé dans un lit convertible et ce n'était pas prévu. C'est bien pour un couple ou deux couples qui se connaissent car la maison est assez bruyante (surtout les portes). Sinon il faut s'attendre à beaucoup de promiscuité avec des inconnus (avec lesquels il faut partager toilettes est salle de bain).

Clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment in a quiet location within easy reach of city centre.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment with plenty of living space and self catering facilities. Good for short or long stay. Parking on the street. Excellent location within walking distance of city centre, but in a quiet area so a nice place to retreat from the hubbub of the bars and cafes in the centre especially at festival time! (School opposite so would be more noise in term time.) Owner Sandrine extremely helpful (she speaks English though we used mainly French), contacting us to arrange key handover and was there to meet us when we arrived to show us round (there is also a key box).

Bedroom arrangement (two double beds) best suited to two couples or a couple with children. We have adult children so not ideal, but we made it work.

the bed was comfortable enough, in principle well equipped kitchen.

Many things. The toilet opens between the kitchen and the dining room, so all toilet odors are spreading around when eating (the property has 2 shared rooms, so if you are a family is ok, but if there are 2 separate couples is extremely unpleasant) (there is ventillation in the toillet, but poor). The toilet is on the ground floor, no hand washing possibilities, only in the bathroom on floor 1. Many kitchen appliances are not operational (notably the grill, the dishwasher). Furniture is poor, e.g. the dining table consists of a piece of thick glass put on 2 shelves. TV is miniature. Bedroom is again very poorly equipped (and under the roof). Heavy forged iron chairs (very difficult to handle). Wardrobe in the bedroom extremely sparce, only minimum necessary. Water pressure is poor, if somebody is washing dishes on ground floo in the kitchen, you have scarce water pressure in the bathroom on floor 1 to make a shower. So even if it is one couple using it, it may be extremely unpleasant.

What’s a wonderful property with a wonderful host. I would highly recommend staying here, my only regret being not staying longer. Thank you to Sandrine for being extra accommodating and welcoming.
