Would definitely stay again, great hosts, very clean, loved it, and off road private parking.

A great place to stay, lovely host, very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished and maintained, very close to Exmouth, and easy walking to pubs and restaurants. Excellent of road parking

Comfortable place to stay and convenient for public transport.

Plenty of space in living area. Comfortable bed. Convenient parking. Plenty to see within a short distance.

As stated in the description there is a bit of noise from the nearby main road.

A wonderful stay in a lovely cottage. Beautifully presented and so comfortable. Staff were amazing.

It was incredibly comfortable and full of character. The family that run it could not have been more pleasant and helpful.

comfort and privacy in a quaint village

Very clean throughout, beds are exceptionally comfortable and superb quality pillows. The shower was spacious. Lots of windows for air. Had our own parking space. Hosts nearby and very friendly.

Definitely needed a second pair of eyes to pull out onto the road: that was a daily adrenaline rush! We would have liked salt and pepper to have been provided in the kitchen and an ice cube tray in the freezer.

Exceptional

The cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a 2 week stay. Den and Jules were very welcoming and happy to advise on local pubs, walks and activities. A great location and so convenient

Perfect, comfortable stay with lots of walking and eating out!

This is a fantastic little cottage right on the edge of a lovely Devon Village and directly opposite the owners bed and breakfast. It is well equipped, very clean and the owners are extremely friendly. The village has four pubs and we ate at all of them! There is a train station in Lympstone and you can catch the train down to Exmouth or go in the other direction all the way to Paignton. The train station is really close to the Exe Estuary trail, which is perfect for winter walking as the surface alternates between tarmac and boardwalk. A perfect property and fantastic location for us. We didn't walk as much of the coast path as I hoped to because of the weather so we will just have to go back again!

Really well kept, clean property with everything we needed for a three night break as a family!

Really clean, cosy cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable three night stay. Plenty of space for all of us and the Christmas decorations were a nice added touch!

The holiday will live long in the memory.

Everything really, you couldn't fault the property. The owners were very helpful, recommending places to eat, walks to go on and sites to visit. Would recommend it to anyone who asked.

Lovely stylish cottage, superb hosts, beautiful part of the country.

Very well-appointed cottage, stylishly furnished to a high standard and was spotlessly clean, excellent hosts who were on hand to deal with all our needs, and advise on the local area.

Property is close to a busy A-road, so considerable noise even at night. Difficult to exit the cottage onto the road, with restricted view of oncoming traffic.

Great relaxing stay in an amazing cottage.

The cottage has been amazingly restored to an extremely high standard and is filled with things that made our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing. Great communication with the hosts who couldn’t not do enough for us. A great location for Exmouth, Woodbury Common, the beautiful village of Lympstone as well as the Exe estuary. I cant recommend this great place enough.

Owners too over bearing for us to return.

Decoration of the cottage was lovely

Rules notices displayed. Owners coming in and turning all the plugs off. A general feeling of being watched. It being dog friendly but only allowing one dog. Particularly the notice in the downstairs bathroom which told us to use the black cloth for removing make up to save us the embarrassment of dirtying their towels or the expense of being charged. Or one upstairs saying not to put tea bags down toilet. Who does that?!

A home away from home

The hosts rang me a few hours before arrival to help with directions. They had left tea, coffee, biscuits and milk for us. The house was spotlessly clean. So nice to walk in and find a comfortable, light, very spacious cottage. There were excellent facilities, a shower room and separate toilet upstairs, both bedrooms were warm and cosy. Kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, fridge freezer and cooker. The house exceeded our expectations. The hosts checked with us every day to make sure we were happy or needed anything. We would definitely visit again
