About this cabin rental

Situated in Park County, this charming cabin for $470 per night is a great choice for your next break. The Inn Between is an exceptional custom built handcrafted log home on 5 private acres surrounded by the Collegiate Peaks; just a few minutes from the town of Buena Vista in the nationally renowned Arkansas River Valley of Colorado. As you enter the cabin you are greeted with the views of Mt. Princeton through the floor to ceiling windows. Massive logs support the towering two-story living area. The main floor is roomy with a well equipped kitchen, dining room, great room, two bedrooms and full bathroom. The second floor master suite has its own deck, full bath with 2 person shower, and a deep soaking tub with great window views. The ground floor has an extra family room, bedroom and full bathroom. The upstairs loft has a full size washer and dryer. All bedrooms have a queen bed and the downstairs bedroom also has a bunkbed. All rooms have incredible views and furnishings are high quality western living styles. The deck provides a gathering area after a long day of hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, rafting, fishing, or climbing 14,000 foot mountains. The great room has a 55” smart TV and the family room has a 65" smart TV. There is cable TV, blue ray, and Xbox. Hi Speed 500 Mbps Wifi internet is provided for free. The ground floor has a full bath with walk-in shower, theater room with 7.2 surround system, and 4th bedroom with one queen bed and a twin bunk bed. It comes with heated floors, 9 foot ceilings, and numerous windows looking south to Mount Princeton and the foothills of Mt. Yale. The Inn Between sits on 5 acres at the base of Mount Yale. This unique location is close to town, yet in a secluded setting. At night, from the comfort of your own hot tub, the Milky Way stretches across the heavens, and if you are lucky, there will be shooting stars “raining fire in the sky”. There is a 1/2 mile nature trail surrounding the property that winds through the numerous Pinion and Ponderosa pine trees. Mule Deer and Elk may wander thru during your visit. Buena Vista is the center of Arkansas River activities in the valley but also offers hours of entertainment and local interest. Shopping, dining, golf, river walks, and an engineered kayak park will keep you entertained. Try your luck at the River Park Frisbee golf course and technical climbing rocks. Adjacent to the cabin is the entrance to the Cottonwood Pass road, while the Colorado Trail passes within a mile of home. Visitors can enjoy short drives to historic Leadville to the north and 'artsy' Salida to the south. Summer activities include hiking & biking the fourteeners, high alpine meadows and cascading rivers, whitewater rafting, fishing the Arkansas or in the high mountain lakes with plenty of spaces to explore. During summer months, the town of Aspen makes a wonderful day trip where the trip itself over Independence Pass is part of the attraction. Winter visitors bring your snowshoes, skis, and sleds for the kids! Ski areas such as Monarch and Ski Cooper are less than 1 hour away, and Breckenridge, Vail and Summit County are about 1.5 hours away. Salida offers live theater at the Steamplant and lots of unique art galleries. It is hard to beat this wonderful place to get away and enjoy the peace of the mountains and gaze at the stars after a great day outdoors. Sit on the deck and read in the sun, or soothe your muscles in the hot tub at the end of an adventurous day. For security there are outdoor cameras at the front door and garage. Buena Vista is truly a great place to visit at the base of the Collegiate Peaks Range whether it is summer or winter or Inn Between! Chaffee County Short Term Rental Permit No. 003316

We wanted a few days away from the hustle and bustle before Christmas. This was the perfect house and setting to do just that. We were able to escape into the hills and still be able to run into town for coffee and dinner. The house was fully equipped and perfect. I would absolutely stay there again, and can’t thank the owners enough for their hospitality and attention to detail.
