We enjoyed our stay, great location, close to beach and town. We love Saint Simons and this house had enough bedroom space for our family and a great fenced in yard for our dogs.

We enjoyed our stay at Hope Harbour! It literally has everything you need for your family to have a comfortable stay. The house was cozy and close to beaches, shops, and restaurants. My 5 month old slept great in her pack n play in the back bedroom. The outdoor shower needs some sprucing up and we found it a bit inconvenient that we had to remove the quilts from the beds and use heavy comforters instead. Other than that, our stay was perfect. Highly recommend for a family looking for an affordable place to stay on the island.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at SSI- Hope Harbour was the perfect house for our large crew and as a bonus, we could bring our dog along. Nancy truly thought of everything, from the bikes for the kids to the charcoal for the grill- we had the most relaxing, enjoyable week. We definitely hope to return to Hope Harbour soon!

Although a little dated, Hope Harbor was a nice place to stay. Very convenient to everything.

We arrived at the Cottage mid-afternoon. Everything was just as expected and more. The Cottage is filled with “things” in all the rooms so it gives the immediate “homie” feeling. Most of the décor is “beach” forward but overall, it’s an enclitic mix. The kitchen has an abundance of tableware and cookware collected probably over many years so, about anything we needed was somewhere to be found. A big surprise was finding food items available, condiments, and other common staples. The appliances all worked fine, including the small oven, microwave and the MR Coffee (plenty of filters). Most of the days we were there the weather was either overcast or raining. So, we explored the area in our car and hung-out at the cottage. We ate out all but two days, which is uncommon for us but there are some interesting restaurants we wanted to experience. The backyard and back deck were really nice to have for the short time periods when the weather accommodated sitting outside. All were well furnished and offered a multitude of places to enjoy the backyard. The TV and internet both worked very well so when we need to connect with the outside world it was easy. Loads of pillows all over the house and even a blanket for your dog if he/she was accustomed to furniture. Our Host provide copious notes before we arrived and there were reminders throughout the house. She was immediately available and responsive when we had a question. And because the weather was not very good during our stay, our Host offered us the opportunity to stay longer without mentioning any payment. The location of the Cottage, as we came to learn, was ideal for getting into town, the beach, the parks, and points of interest outside of the village. We had a great time my son came down from Fort Stewart with his wife and children we had a wonderful time. The owner of the house was very very nice and very responsive and just had a wonderful time and she’s a wonderful home

Very close to beach and restaurants. House was adequate for our needs. My only issue was backyard should have been mowed, grass was too high. Again, experience was not bad at all.

This was a very cute and convenient cottage. Very much a cottage feel, very homey. It is a nice location. We walked to the beach, took less than 10 minutes. A very quiet beach with lots of hermit crabs and fun “finds.” A short drive to the village for some yummy restaurants. We came for FLETC events and it was a nice location for that, about 20 minutes to Brunswick. The beds were very soft and comfy. Lots of blankets and extras. There were two pack and plays, which worked perfect because I had my infant twins with me. We didn’t get to use the yard, but it looked like a great place to relax and enjoy the Georgia weather! We loved the screened in porch in the back though, very relaxing to sit and read out there!! Nancy was very fast to respond to my questions, and so very kind. It is obvious that there have been many recent updates to the cottage, with plans to do a few more I believe. Checking in and out was super easy. Overall we had a great stay. It’s very obvious that this cottage is very loved and important, and it was nice being able to spend a few days in such a place.

Our stay here at Hope Harbour was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything was more than we could ever expected! The owner communicated with us prior to our stay with pointers on things we should experience. From the food to simply being in their home! We will always cherish the memories we made here in the beautiful cottage, all of the outings, and of course the beautiful Island. Please take advantage of all of the history that St. Simons has to offer. This is be our yearly vacation to the island, and also to Hope Harbour. You will NOT be disappointed in anything the cottage has to offer.

This house is terrific. We felt right at home the first day. It is close to the beach, restaurants, the village. The large back yard was perfect for our family pet. Although we don’t have kids, it would be great for a family that has children. Very safe neighbor.

Hope Harbour was very comfortable for my mom and I and also for our fur babies. Lots of room to spread out. Our babies loved the yard. We would definitely stay here again.

We’ll return because it is the perfect combination of location, roominess, supplies, and of course, dog friendly. The three bedroom home provided ample room for the five of us to spend time together and eat together but also sufficient space for us to spread out when we wanted some quiet time alone. Our dogs loved the back yard and spent tons of time chasing each other and exploring. Another plus was having bikes at our disposal. We didn’t use the grills or the fire pit but it was neat that they were available (along with charcoal for the grill). Because of Covid (and a grandson who is not eligible for a vaccine yet) we had to skip dinners out and instead came prepared to fix our own meals. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, Tupperware type containers, measuring cups and an ample supply of plates, cups, silverware etc. We brought condiments and coffee filters, etc but the house had lots of supplies. There is a grocery store very close for the things we forgot. The beach is about a 10 minute walk but it is a very easy walk. The distance from the beach was my main worry about the reservation but it should not have been. The dogs loved going to the beach but it was close enough we could bring them home when we wanted beach time without that responsibility. All in all, this is a great place for families to spend a vacation.

Spent a long weekend with my son and his family and our combined 3 dogs. The location was great, a quiet neighborhood that was a 10-15 min easy walk to the beach, the village and numerous restaurants. The home itself is older uit that's really part of the charm. The fenced in yard with a great deck was the selling point t to us for the dogs. My only warning is bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are VICIOUS. We had 2 full size trucks and a 22' boat and had room to park everything in the drive. We would definitely go back to this cottage.

I stayed here with my husband, (almost) 2 year old & our dog. It was nice to be able to bring the dog & have a fenced yard. The place is comfortable & has a great screened porch on the side- we spent a lot of time there, as it rained for a lot of our stay. The back deck is great, we just weren’t able to use it. We had to rewash several dishes before use, but that might be more on previous renters than anything. The kitchen is well stocked & everything we used was functional. Recommend any future visitors bring their own beach chairs & be prepared to rent a bike- there’s currently only 1 that’s usable- owner is up front about several being unusable. If I had one suggestion for the suggestion box: mattress pad for the bed in the front bedroom.
