We were delighted with the location. Grocery stores and numerous restaurants are all within walking distance. The host provided helpful information on places to eat and sites to visit. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour of the area to help us get oriented. He also responded quickly if we had any questions. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Very comfortable apartment in a easy accessible area of Barcelona. The terrace was excellent to enjoy an evening drink with the family. It was clean and well stocked. Raul picked us up from the airport and welcomed us to his flat. We would come back again.

The hosts were amazing and so thoughtful. We will be definitely coming back to stay at their apartment. From first contact with the hosts we felt welcome and reassured. Host pick us up at the airport and had car seat for our 3 year old. The care was second to none. They gave us a little tour before we got to the apartment and to our surprise there was a gift for little one in her bedroom. Our little one opened it and It was a teddy bear, such a thoughtful gift and it made her stay more comfortable, relaxed and memorable. The host gave us a a whistle stop tour of how to get from A to B, places to eat and visit. All written on a maps for us. There was a welcome fruit basket with a bottle of red wine on the table, teas, water and other items in the fridge/cupboard. We definitely felt home from home and our making plans for next visit.

Raul & Carmen make this place feel like home! The apartment is in a great location with restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores nearby. All the necessary amenities are supplied and then some. I would come back simply because of these things but then there is Raul & Carmen....who are the most amazing hosts ever. They make sure to pay attention to the little details and go above and beyond most other hosts to make you feel welcome and at home! Will definitely be back!

Raul is hands-down the best rental host ever. He is so accommodating and kind. The apartment itself is great for a stay in Barcelona. It has all the amenities you might need and is very comfortable. It’s close to public transportation, making it easy to get anywhere you want to go in the city. There are many great restaurants and shops, and a playground right in the neighborhood as well.

We just got back home after staying with Raul and Carmen for a week. Hands down it was the best apartment experience that we have ever had. From the moment of greeting Raul at the airport to his dropping us off for our return, it felt like we were visiting family. Raul and Carmen took care of everything - helped plan things before we arrived, small comforts when we arrived and wonderful help finding the best spots throughout Barcelona. The apartment is located in a great area where you feel part of the locals and is very easy to get around - we did the bus based on Raul's recommendation and it was super easy and fun. Also, plan to spend time on the balcony whether its eating a meal, snack or just reading a book it was a bit magical to soak up the big city.

Raul was an amazing host! The best we’ve ever had. Raul picked up our family of four from the airport and gave us a quick tour of Barcelona on the way to the apartment. We even stopped for a great photo opportunity on Mount Montjuïc overlooking the city. Once we arrived at the apartment Raul welcomed us with a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. Additionally, he had coffee, juice, milk, soda and a couple of beers to get us started. Raul spent considerable time mapping out transportation, restaurants, grocery stores and much more! This apartment was located very close to several bus and metro stops, which made it easy to get around Barcelona. Raul was also very responsive to several messages I sent him looking for additional restaurant and transportation recommendations based on where we were touring in Barcelona. I cannot say enough how kind Raul was and how he made us feel very comfortable in his vacation rental. When we visit Barcelona in the future, we will look to stay here again!

lovely apartment with walking access to most of the important areas. Lift in building which made access fairly easy. The airport pickup was a very nice feature. Host provided tips and advice about tourist attractions in the area, and provided a customized map of the close area and wider area. Would definitely recommend.

The apartment was everything and more. Raul, the host, could not do enough for us. From picking us up at the airport giving us a guided tour of Barcelona and on arrival at the apartment was a basket of fruit, bottle of wine, beer, and all the groceries we needed for several days. The apartment is situated in an area mostly occupied by local people. Thus is a big plus as cafe, bars etc are local prices. The very big plus for us was the roof terrace. After a day's sightseeing, its was lovely and relaxing to sit on the terrace with a beer or glass of wine. Special thanks to Raul for coming to our rescue when we locked ourselves out

This beautifully clean, well stocked apartment is located in one of the best areas of Barcelona - a short way away from the crowded main tourist district, in a quiet residential neighborhood near art museums and the beautiful Montjuic mountain, with its castle and the wonderful park. There are two metro stops and numerous bus stops near the apartment. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and restaurants, and a large supermarket is just around the corner. All attractions around Plaza Catalunya are just a few minutes away by bus or by metro, or an easy 25 minute walk. Raul and Carmen are the nicest accommodation owners you will ever meet on your travels. They were in touch before we arrived, provided a lot of very useful information and gave great advice on organizing our holiday in Barcelona. Raul met us at the airport, and took us on a short tour around the area. They left a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine, orange juice, butter and milk in the fridge, coffee, jam, biscuits and even some bottled water for us in the apartment (although the tap water in Barcelona is perfectly safe to drink!). Raul and Carmen live in the same building, and were always there for us to kindly answer any questions we had during our stay.

This is a lovely and spacious apartment in a good neighborhood filled with bakeries, several markets, and good restaurants. It’s not touristy which we like. On a scale of 1-10, Raul scores 10++ as a host who is not only very gracious, but who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour on the drive to the apartment where a beautiful basket of fruit and wine awaited us. We met Raul as our host. We are very happy to say that he is now our friend.

This was one of the most delightful apartments I have ever rented. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and cheery , with lots of light. The hosts had generously provided ample provisions and a well stocked kitchen. Both Carmen and Raul were in touch with us from the moment we booked and provided great tips on what to see and do in Barcelona, dining, and getting around on public transportation. I highly recommend this rental!

Raul is an exceptional person--so gracious and caring. After a very long day of travel, we were so spoiled by Raul. He picked us up at the airport, gave us a short overview of the city, then provided very useful maps and recommendations. The apartment is very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with perfect amenities added. We loved the outdoor balcony and proximity to excellent coffee and pastry shops, and many great restaurant options...shout out to Rustic BCN. Also, great location with easy access to Metro, bus, and high-speed train. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place. Right in the heart of Barcelona with both the subway and bus within a 5-7 min walk. Raul was an absolute darling and it made such a difference having him pick us up at the airport. The apartment was very cozy and the kitchen had everything you need. The heaters were especially welcome as coming from 35c heat in Australia to 12c in Barcelona we felt the cold. Would definitely come back and stay here again. Thanks Raul

The host and his wife made our visit to Barcelona memorable. Never, in my almost 40 years of international travel have I met a more gracious couple. From the initial booking until the day of our departure they were attentive to our every need and quickly responded to any questions we had. Raul assisted with transportation needs, facilitated our train trip and metro pass purchases and made excellent recommendations to ensure we enjoyed everything Barcelona had to offer. Because of Raul and his lovely wife we enjoyed incredible sites, delicious wine, tasty fruit and candy with a flavorable history! Staying over the Christmas holidays allowed us to see street lights, parades, Christmas markets and get our fill of Spanish hot chocolate and churios. We made wise decisions when touring thanks to his recommendations and we ate delicious food at neighborhood markets and restaurants. The apartment was conveniently located between two metro stops and less than a 10 minute walk from Sants train station and Placa Espagna. We were never more than two stops away from any of our adventures. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds comfortable and there was NO discernable noise from the street level or the neighbors. The location fitted our needs perfectly. One of the best things Raul did was provide two maps identifying resources in the local neighborhood and an overall view of Barcelona. They were invaluable! We hope we have a chance to host our new friends should they ever visit the United States.

Raul and Carmen were the best hosts we have ever dealt with. To say we were treated like treasured family is an understatement. We were picked up at the airport, showed the ropes of Barcelona and then brought “home” to a beautiful apartment with touches to make us feel welcome. I will not ruin the surprise by telling you what is waiting for you when you book! Just know, I fear we booked the best place first in our tour of Europe!

This is a very comfortable apartment, well equipped and quiet. Raul and Carmen are excellent hosts. Raul picked us up at the airport, guided us through the purchase of metro passes at the ticket machine and took us to a dramatic scenic view of the city. At the apartment he provided two annotated maps. One was a closeup of the neighborhood showing the supermarket, restaurants, bus stops and metro stations. We twice had the lunch special at the Bodega Calabria just down the street from the apartment. The waitress was pleasant and the food delicious. The second map covered how to go to and return from popular tourist attractions. Whenever we discussed our planned outings Raul’s suggestions for public transportation were often better than what the internet provided. After our two-week stay we felt we were saying good bye to friends.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this apartment - just as great as remembered. Raul and Carmen are excellent hosts, very responsive and go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and supported in their visit to Barcelona. Highly recommend!

We had a great week in this lovely apartment. Raul is an amazing host. He collected us from the airport and gave us a little tour of the city to help us get our bearings. He showed us around the apartment and gave us lots of useful information and was on hand if we needed anything through our stay. The apartment was very clean and is very well equipped. I did quite a bit of cooking and we had everything we needed to cook and wash clothes. The apartment is comfortable with a comfy big bed and plenty of storage. The air con works well and we certainly needed it in the heat. We loved the roof terrace which is very spacious and quiet. The apartment is very quiet and we didn't hear any road noise or noise from the building. The wifi is fast and I was able to work and make video calls easily. The location is good, very close to transport links so getting around the city is quick and easy. There is a Mercadona supermarket around the corner, but next to the Mercadona is a really nice food shop that sells lovely fresh produce and vegetarian products. We had a really nice time and I would highly recommend this apartment. The photos don't do the apartment justice and Raul is really nice chap who made our stay extra nice!

Raúl is a wonderful, warm person who cared for us very sincerely. We were treated with tremendous hospitality from the start to the finish of our stay. The apartment is located in an excellent part of town; there are bars, cafés, and tapas on every corner. The apartment has one smaller room and one double room, plus kitchen, bathroom, living room/dining room, and then a marvelous terrace where we drank gazpacho and wine. It was the perfect place to stay. We were given helpful advice and we were made to feel very at home. I hope to return to Barcelona (soon!) and I will seek to stay here again. I can't way enough about how wonderful our stay here was. Raul was a fantastic host, was very proactive and communicative, picked us up at the airport, gave us a stunning tour of the city on the way to the apartment. He was very organized and thorough with the check-in, helping us with great recommendations. The apartment was super clean, comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed, and in a wonderful neighborhood. Barcelona is a special city and this was a special rental. The pictures are VERY accurate, there were not any unpleasant surprises. This apartment is located in a wonderful area of Barcelona. It is easy to get to many areas by walking & using public transportation. We were there a week and enjoyed every minute. The terrace is wonderful, the kitchen is fully equipped (we cooked quite a bit despite the many restaurants in the area), & the bed is comfortable. The apartment building is a treasure and has an elevator to get you up to the apartment (above the street noise which is really nice). The Internet is strong and fast, which was a blessing. If you were there for work, you wouldn't have any problems connecting remotely. The TV access is even pretty cool- many channels and several channels you could 'convert' to English to enjoy. And the Hosts? They treat you as though you are a much-beloved family member. After spending time to give us a quick tour of the city, show us how to use the amenities, and show us how to get around the city, Raúl checked in with us mid-visit and again towards the end- and provided us with several phone numbers and ways to contact him. He was quick to respond when we had a question about the area. They even advised us on a local holiday of which we hadn't any prior knowledge. We enjoyed spending an hour visiting with Raúl and Carmen the day before we departed, but if you did not wish to do this, there was no pressure- it was something we wanted to do and enjoyed very much. We would definitely stay here again- this would be a first choice for us- and please know that we hope we beat you to it if we have the opportunity to return to the area.

Raul and Carmen's apartment was perfect for our stay. With the 2 large bedrooms, and that it is a large apartment, we had lots of room for sleeping and relaxing. The 3 of us had spent 3 weeks in squishy hotel rooms so it was quite lovely. And having the rooftop terrace was a cherry on top! Raul and Carmen are such lovely people. I arrived in a state of near panic after being hopelessly lost in my rental car on the streets of Barcelona, and he calmly helped me return the car to the train station. It was such a relief! And then proceeded to make us most welcome, with lots of useful information about the neighbourhood and city. We were able to ask lots of questions, which we certainly did. The apartment had everything we needed, including a beautifully stocked fridge with drinks and snacks, that was very much appreciated. All in all it is very easy to give a 5 star rating. Thank you very much Raul and Carmen for making our stay in Barcelona so comfortable and pleasant.
