Enjoyed the use of the room, it was so conveniently close to the slope walk out! No need to rent a locker being so close! Easy checkin. Great appliances too! Air fryer and crockpot along with full kitchen.

The condo was very nice. We had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Our family of 4 went for a ski vacation and to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. The location was perfect. We could see the slopes from our balcony. It was easy to walk to the village where there were shops and restaurants. Having the condo on the first floor was awesome!

This condo had great space, amenities and we could see the mountain bike course from our deck.

Great location for our family ski trip! We rented the 2 bedroom and connecting 1 bedroom unit for our family trip of 10. Way more room to spread out compared to other Mountain Lodge set-ups. Location is perfect to hit the slopes and visit the Village area of Snowshoe. We will be renting these same units again in the future.

Excellent location and filled with everything you might need. Check-in was a breeze. It should be noted there is no air conditioning in the apartment but every room had a fan and there was one extra box fan provided. The layout was conducive to a group hangout. Would easily stay in the unit again.

We stayed at this property as two families with two two-year old's for a few days on the week of Tuesday 2-22-22 (sorry, had to). The location was perfect with easy access to slopes and parking. Great view of the conditions outside. The kids loved seeing the groomer and snow mobiles go by in the evenings. The living room and kitchen was big enough for the kids to play while the adults made food / relaxed. The bedrooms were big enough to fit pack and plays with some room to spare. The fact that the bedrooms were across the hall from each other helped buffer for sound when one toddler woke up crying in the middle of the night. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is because we weren't able to control the room temperature. Overnight the bedrooms were very hot despite keeping windows cracked.

When we walked into the condo there was a musty odor at first but it went away (or we got used to it). Walking into the kitchen area brought the most amazing views of the sunset. The thermostats do not work properly. We tried changing the temp but it would just go right back to the same temp. We had to open the sliding glass door the 1” that it is allowed to open due to the stopper that is screwed into the top (fire code violation for sure) just to let the 10 degree outside temps inside to cool the place down. There is no balcony and crazy bars in front of the glass doors.
The location is unbelievably amazing! The king size bed is fantastic. The sofa is different than the picture - more updated and the carpet is updated also (if I remember correctly). Definitely need updated pictures. Being directly off of the lobby created lots of noise that was annoying, but when compared to the view, became a small nuisance only.

This unit is a great location. However, it was very hot during our February stay. We could not get air conditioning to come on. I am assuming the heat from the lobby heats this unit because we did not have heat on but it was extremely uncomfortable throughout our stay. Many messages to owner leading up to the week were ignored. His communication was great prior to booking and when we were asking about his other units for friends, but any other question went unanswered. We had a group of 6 families who all had great communication from their rental property VBRO folks and received valued info about property prior to arrival and during stay at Mountain Lodge. We did not get responses to questions or any info on area/building/snowshoe. This unit is priced higher than the other Mortiz units and is actually more outdated. The den is very dark. We liked the other three Mortiz units better our friends had. They had better light, more updated, and better communication with owners. The pros of this unit are view of lift and king size bed.

Great
Room was great. Kitchen had lots of amenities, only thing I’d suggest would be a pizza pan and cookie sheet. Location was very convenient to slopes and village. Would highly recommend and would stay there again next season! Only complaint was the weather. Warm, rainy and foggy. Mashed potatoes for slopes.

Great Experience For My Entire Family!
This was a perfect fit for my family... The unit was clean and had all the necessary cooking supplies that we needed. The beds were super comfy and the flat screen throughout the unit was a plus. My kids and wife enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and I caught myself constantly looking out the windows at the view of the mountain, slopes and lake. The corner location of this unit is positioned perfectly to see everything! Views are amazing.
Love this place... We will be back to this unit every year!

4 days of Family Fun in a Prime Mountain Lodge Location
2 families totaling 9 people just returned from an awesome stay at #146 Mountain Lodge! The unit was very spacious and perfect for our needs. All meals were easily prepared thanks to the well stocked kitchen. From the crock pot to the wine openers and cheese grater, we had all we needed to dish up Spaghetti, pork carnitas and even sausage & gravy biscuits! The unit location is 1st floor, corner unit so you get an awesome balcony/window view of Shaver's Lake and Ballhooter Lift, as well as a quick exit to the slopes (no stairs or waiting for the elevator). Our group was able to enjoy the main mountain area during the day, travel to Silver Creek for a little night skiing and then easily meet back at the unit for dinner and downtime. With the kids ages ranging from 8-18, Snowshoe offers the best variety of slope levels to keep everyone happy. The teenagers loved that we could pick up Wi-Fi in our room and the moms enjoyed a glass of wine by the fireplace, both in the unit and the big one in the common area. Thanks to the owners for offering such a great and affordable place to spend time with our family and friends!

Experienced Snowshoe vacationer reviewing an excellent room
First of all my initial thought is to write a very mediocre review as a way of making sure this unit is available next time we want to come. Unfortunately I just can't write misinformation. To save you some reading here are the high points: Location building wise and unit within the building are the absolute best (view & convenience). Updated very well stocked kitchen/room. Skiing is the best on the East coast. Owner great to work with.
I brought my extended family of 12 here from Florida for a ski vacation. The weather has been a little extreme with high winds & this morning we woke up to -11. It snowed quite a bit over the last 24 hrs. The slopes were a little icy but well covered in white.
On to the room...my family has come to Snowshoe about a half dozen times. We determined years ago that the Mountain Lodge is a great central location within the resort. ML has lots of common area with a big fireplace in the lobby with plenty of sitting areas and high top tables near this room. One thing we were not experienced in was staying on the first floor. IT IS THE BEST. Carrying skis and bags to this unit was awesome. You are across the lobby from the front desk and with the lobby outside your door the common areas really can become part of your unit. The building itself is a little dated but for us with children from 24-5 years old very comfortable.
I've stayed in many VRBO units around the southeastern US, and it's rolling the dice on how the kitchens are stocked. This one is stocked especially well with a coffee pot, toaster oven, crock pot, blender, dishwasher, plenty of pots/pans, dishware, and silver. This unit has been updated with two long couches, king bed, and queen bed. TV was nice because we plugged an HDMI cable in and watched movies from our computer. Not many of the other units had HD flat screens. Our family has 2 other units on the second floor and all of our rooms overlooked the Ballhooter lift and slope area which is another plus we extremely enjoyed. One of our other units was 246 right above this unit and it was also nicely stocked. This unit wins because of the first floor and more sitting places. We had all of our lunches and dinners in this room and it accommodated all of us.
Things to consider if you are coming to ski here. Bring the proper attire especially for beginners as the warmer you are the better the experience. Bring some hand walkie-talky radios because there is no cell service here.

4 Adults and 2 Teenagers from NC
We loved staying in this unit. It is very nice and clean, and the kitchen is well equipped. The master bedroon is very large, and the beds were very comfortable. We were hesitant to stay at Mountain Lodge, as when we stayed in a 1 bedroom years ago, the unit was very small. This unit is a really nice size, and we were all comfortable. Another couple and their 2 kids came for dinner one night, and we all had plenty of room. The view of the slopes was a really nice plus too. The weather was not cooperating fully when we were there in January, so it was nice to see what was going on with the slopes before we ventured out ourselves. We will definitely requiest this until again, and would like to get the adjoining unit next time too.
