We can heartily recommend the Goult Studio. It is spacious as studios go. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom has modern fittings, complete with a rail in the shower for the less able to hang on to. In fact, we found the studio contained everything we needed. From both the studio itself and the lovely garden immediately below, the view over the Calavon Valley towards the Petit Luberon is magnificent, with Ménerbes and Bonnieux visible on a clear day. Ailie Collins, our landlady, could not have been more charming, helpful and responsive to our various needs. Goult is a small village, so the environment is peaceful and quiet, but its facilities are more than adequate: a café, 3 restaurants, a grocer, a cheese shop and more It boasts a mediaeval chateau, a romanesque parish church which, unlike others, is usually open, and a wonderful lookout point at the Jerusalem Mill.

Don’t tell anyone!

We stayed in this studio for a week and can really recommend it. The studio is very clean, fully equipped and furnished with attention to detail. The private parking is just in front of the house. The garden and surroundings are beautiful. Our host Ailie was very friendly and helpful, it was a real pleasure to meet her. Thanks again for our welcome gift, a bottle of wine in the fridge and thank you so much for your hospitality. We hope to return soon

The studio had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. It is so convenient for the beautiful, welcoming village of Goult where you will find everything you need. The surroundings are stunning and returning to the studio after a day's sightseeing is delightful. To wake up in the morning and take in the view is wonderful. Ailie has made a superb job of the conversion and the garden is the icing on the cake. We can't wait to return!

We just returned from a trip to the Luberon region in the south of France, where we stayed at the Goult Studio, recently renovated by Ailie Collins , in the village of Goult. The Studio meets all expectations and requirements for a two week stay. The style is comfortably modern, with tile floors throughout. The bathroom has a great walk-in shower, farm sink, plush towels, (hairdrier), and a clean, pleasant look. There is a very comfortable king size bed with nice duvets and pillows. The sitting area has two comfy chairs for reading, and open sliding doors looking out over a commanding view of the valley and the Luberon hills in the distance. Adjacent is a table with two chairs in the kitchen area, a two burner stove and microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and all the equipment to prepare a meal. Ailie has thought of everything you might need. There is a patio with table and chairs just outside the door, as well as another terrace with chairs and great views down some easy stairs, on the hillside in front. Ailie's house is right next door and her presence, fluency in french & english, and knowledge of the town and surrounding area is a comfort when one is a "newcomer" The degree of privacy cannot be overstated: we felt very left alone unless we needed her help or suggestions. The town is lovely, easily walkable, and with a great boulangerie/patisserie, butcher shop, cheese shop, grocerie with fruits & veggies, and several restaurants. The Bartavelle Restaurant was our favorite - with great food, efficient & kind service, and a relaxing setting in a stone vaulted room. The surrounding hill towns which include Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon, and far too many to name, are all easily accessible , with beautiful views and nice restaurants for lunch or dinner. There are "marches" everyday day of the week - somewhere! Aix en Provence, Avignon, and Marseille are also nearby making the Goult Studio a centrally located base from which to venture in any direction. Ailie's website is an accurate portrayal of the Studio and you will not be dissappointed. A very good choice!!

Modern, private, romantic, gorgeous view and stocked with all of the essentials, including a barbecue. Perfect for couples. Ailie is a wonderful host; never intrusive. Goult, as we discovered, is somewhat of a destination for foodies. Great restaurants in this tiny village along with a butcher, boulangerie and a Thursday market where 'the fish lady' sells her extremely popular bouillabaisse-style fish soup. Get there early. Plenty of walks, driving and hiking opportunities to nearby villages, many of which are recognized among the most beautiful in France. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This little rental was a gem of a find. Not only was it top-notch quality but it was immaculately clean and neat. My husband and I couldn't get over the view from the sliding glass windows. It was the most amazing view and felt like we were nestled in the mountains. The owner, Ailie, is extremely nice and has created a very high-class rental. Though small, the studio is very practical and comfortable with three separate areas outside to sit and enjoy the gorgeous view. We just want to live there!

My husband and I recently spent two weeks here. Everything was absolutely perfect: the studio was extremely clean and well organized. It was well furnished with everything one could possibly need or want. There are two very comfortable chairs in which to sit to look at the amazing view - we spent hours there. There are also lovely areas on the grounds for relaxing. We enjoyed the short walk into Goult (good restaurants, bakery, etc.). It is a charming village not overrun with tourists. Ailie is the perfect host, very welcoming and providing lots of suggestions for activities when asked, but never intrusive. All in all, a perfect stay and very highly recommended.

In spite of its studio configuration, this apartment has plenty of space and more importantly is right in the heart of Goult, a unique village with all the charm one could ever want. Allie is a very good host making certain all is well along with any necessary information. Everything in the apartment worked well and the bathroom/shower were very nice. Outside areas were plentiful and private with several to choose from. We will hopefully return as the village is our idea of a perfect location from which to explore the Luberon.

This is our third stay in Goult Studio, and I have no doubt at all that there will be many more. We were here last September when there were still leaves on the trees and the views were magnificent. How different it is in April, when the new leaves are just emerging and the countryside is waking up after the winter. Just as beautiful but so different. The Studio is always maintained so well - bright, clean and cheerful. Everything works, and Ailie is always at hand if there are any problems but there never are. This is the perfect haven for peace and relaxation. A bientot!

Having just spent a week in Goult, our stay surpassed all our expectations. Goult itself is a quaint village with a wonderful boulangerie and variety of restaurants, and is centrally located to all the must-see Luberon villages, but far more user-friendly in terms of access and parking. Best of all however was choosing to stay at The Goult Studio, whose owner Ailie Collins - quite apart from being a charming and most helpful host - has thought of everything needed to make a stay at the Studio one to both enjoy and remember, as well as heartily recommend. In a perfect location, the modern bright and airy apartment has views and sunny aspect to make it a delightful base no matter whether the weather is fair or foul. You will not be disappointed in any way.

We had the opportunity to stay in this lovely studio for a week this past month. One word....perfect!!! The owner, Ailie Collins has made a retreat that is comfortable, relaxing, and a perfect location in the Luberon. The apartment is bright, cheery, and every detail has been thought out. You can enjoy a beautiful view, a well equipped kitchen, a lovely bathroom including a large shower, and a big, comfortable bed. Ailie is delightful. And the little town of Goult has a wonderful bakery for your morning croissant and some excellent restaurants. We can't wait to return.
