A quick trip with no prior visits to Molokai, helped to make this stay a surprise. Ended up being as far from my friends as possible here but loved every minute. Following day after the party several friends came this way to see the surf and enjoy the sun. Being right on the beach would have to make this unit one of the best in the vicinity. Absolutely would stay here again.

Loved this house on the beach. Even without AC the house stays cool with fans and windows. Fully furnished with all your needs. The views are superb and the ocean sounds lulled us to sleep. The area has many beautiful and varied beaches, good for exploring. And the attraction of Monk Seals sleeping on the beach was an added benefit. Would gladly come back. Molokai is a wonderful island and this house made it better!!

Our stay on Molokai was everything we were looking for. Cheryl was very kind, helpful, and responsive. We enjoyed a nearly private beach, quiet nights on the lanai, and relaxed island time.
Thank you for the great reset!

I think this little cabin is in a perfect spot for listening to the waves 24/7.

We had a great time on Molokai. The cottage was fantastic and we enjoyed our stay so much. One beach directly in front of the house and four in walking distance.
Can 100% recommend this house

Cottage 1B is wonderful: we think it is the most desirable of all the Kepuhi Beach rentals! The location is ideal, very private, being at the end of the row of condos facing the water, but still a short walk to the pool and store. You really do hear the waves crashing from the cottage and the view is outstanding, since you can see the water and the small beach adjacent to the property, where local surfers come and put on a show occasionally. Since we were there in January, the humpbacks were in the area and we could see spouts and occasional breaches in the distance (good to have binoculars with you). We took many walks on the good trails going out from both ends of the resort.
The cottage itself is attractive and comfortable, just as described on the website. The bed is comfortable and the sofa bed has a thicker and more comfortable mattress than many. The kitchen is well appointed with a variety of dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Even a rice cooker, which we used with stir fries a few nights. We had most of our meals there, one dinner at Paddlers and a lunch once each at the burger joint and the pizza restaurant in town. We were with our daughter and her partner, who stayed in another condo, but we ended up eating all our dinners at our cottage, usually on the lanai watching the beautiful sunsets. Whether on the beach or the trails, we never encountered more than a handful of other people -- amazing in Hawaii!
Michelle was great making arrangements for us, and she was very accommodating when we had to postpone our trip twice due to Covid. Everything was as we expected when we arrived.
In summary, this is probably the best VRBO experience we have ever had (though we have had other good ones) and we highly recommend that you stay here when you visit the unique, "old Hawaii" island of Molokai.

I returned to Molokai after 20 years and was so happy to be back at this beautiful spot on the island. The solitude and view from the unit is beautiful. I loved hiking along the coast, visiting with the Monk Seals on the beach. Liz - the protector of all Monk Seals is there to educate and keep a close eye on them. The patio is the perfect spot to watch surfers and the relentless waves. When not swimming in the ocean the pool onsite was clean and refreshing. I was often the only person there. The small shop on site has everything you need but at crazy prices. I found the shopping in Kaunakakai and Mauna Loa reasonable and enjoyable. The kite shop in Mauna Loa was a real surprise with the array of Asian treasures and the custom made kites. Bring your snorkel and head to the beaches along the south coast, Murphy's is the best at high tide and a beautiful beach to relax at and watch for whales. The drive to west side - Halawa is once in a lifetime. Keep your eyes open for the endangered Nene bird. My only disappointment and it was not a deal breaker was the condition of the unit. It was well equipped (boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel, masks, beach towels) and I was grateful to have the Ninja to make morning smoothies. The unit needs a serious upgrade and some maintenance, I had no hot water the last 24 hours. The screen doors and windows were difficult to close. This would not have been an issue if there was not a serious swarming of flying insects two nights in a row after some rain resulting in insects finding the many openings, invading the unit and crawling all over me and the bed all night long. After having lived in Hawaii and the tropics for many years I knew this was unusual and informed the owner. She was a bit non-chalent and her reply was - "Sorry about the insects but island living can be adventuresome sometimes :)". I appreciated the flexibility with late check out and thanks to Berny the caretaker being accommodating. Molokai is a very special place and I will be back but staying in different accommodations.

Molokai isn’t like the rest of Hawaii, it’s so different it could be another country. Red red soils, dry kiawe trees, wonderful warm people everywhere you go, nothing much “to do” — and this cottage on the west edge of the island, right on the beach, trade winds blowing, monk seals resting on the beach — it is lovely. Don’t go if you want activities or restaurants. Do go if you want to connect to true Hawaii and make your own ahi dinners and sweep the red dust from your shoes and just sit and watch the ocean turn one shade after another of the color blue. Best to bring a book!

Great spot. Loved walking to the beaches although swimming not the best on the west side. Screens in condo were a problem (1 broken and others not closing completely to bugs) and neighbor family Loyd with music, but hospitality of hosts made up for it. Loud family groups on our weekend took over pool making it super crowded and unusable, guest actually found feces in pool on Labor Day weekend Sunday, gross! Needs pool attendant I guess? Other than that people were wonderful and the beaches stunning. Be prepared to shop in town and cook everything. Paddlers was only sit down place to eat available most days. Great place to stay if you want to cook for yourself, be peaceful and connect with the people you are with. Thank you Cher for sharing your lovely place.

After two weeks on Hawai'i's Big Island, heading to Molokai is like being castaway on a deserted island... except you have a nice cottage steps away from either the pool or the beach -- you choose! The owner was easy to deal with and responded to questions quickly and her on-island housekeeper was an absolute life saver in several instances and so nice to deal with.
i have stayed on Molokai before, and i have lived on the the Big Island, so i understand the difficulties and challenges that often comes with island living. This home seeks to mitigate most of those things and it was a wonderful respite for five days.
The home is thoughtfully appointed and is set up for you to relax and enjoy the island life that is just outside its doors. Every morning Monk Seals would visit Ke;phui Beach and stay or reappear throughout the day. i can only imagine the whale sightings that must occur during the winter! Tranquility doesn't get much better than Molokai and this cottage is a great base from which to experience the island.
Mahalo, Cher, for sharing your home with us. We will return!

This condo is such a sweet find. The view cannot be beat. We spent every morning drinking coffee on the patio watching the ocean and every evening doing the same over dinner. The condo is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Come prepared for pounding surf in this lovely location. Bring a flashlight in case of power outage (12 hours our first day and no restaurants or stores nearby). The hostess was lovely but the “resort” is abandoned although the pool and grounds are well maintained.

It’s a nice and quiet location! View from lanei I describe as my ‘ million dollar view’! The pictures don’t do it justice! Cottage is well-appointed , comfortable and lots of other additional amenities that were welcomed! (Laundry detergent, toiletries etc.). Cher and Carol were very responsive and helpful! We had a grand time! Close to secluded beaches! We plan to return in the future to this serene and gorgeous location! Hope it stays the same!
