Great Cottage with Private Beach
About this cottage rental
This is a rustic Truro beach cottage with views of the bay and a partial view of Provincetown. It is located 75 feet back from the top of a sand dune that overlooks Cape Cod Bay. There is a private beach which is located about 200 feet from the front door (a three or four minute walk). There is a sun deck with views of the bay. The beach is very secluded, it is not uncommon to be alone on the beach, even in the summer. There are sand bars at low tide and the bay water is warmer than the ocean. From the top of the stairs that lead to the beach there are great views of Provincetown at night. It is a house one can have fun in and relax. The furnishings are modest but comfortable. There is internet and cable tv with HBO and many other movie channels. The cottage is up on a bluff so there is a stairway to the beach about 70 stairs. Please feel free to call me about details. I will be happy to speak with you in person. I put new beds, new couches and a new refrigerator last year. The cottage is modest but comfortable and fine for a beach vacation. We really enjoyed our stay here! Dana was very helpful and check-in and check-out was easy. The cottage is bright and spacious and had everything we needed -- the living room walls have been painted all white which makes it feel quite open. The new mattresses were very comfortable and the great cross breezes through the cottage windows kept it cool. My dog really enjoyed laying in the sun on the big front deck and we really enjoyed the peek at the water you got while sitting on it. While it is an older cottage that shows it's age, you still have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

GREAT LOCATION!! For those that are familiar with the "Rustic Cape Cod Cottage", this will not disappoint and you will find the property very charming. Host Dana was fantastic - great communication and great ideas for local activities and eateries!

Owner was there when I arrived at 5pm fixing bathroom. I cleaned the kitchen & bathroom. Owner said he had it cleaned but I cleared out spiders & webs from shower, behind doors. To say this is “rustic” is an understatement.

The inside is modest at best, but expected from the listing. The only negative I would have is the house wasn't cleaned very well prior to our arrival. Other than that, we would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a true Upper Cape experience.

Other than that, we would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a true Upper Cape experience.

This little rustic cottage had everything we needed. Rough around the edges, but great for the price. We were so happy with the location in North Truro. The private beach on the bay side and close to all Truro beaches (with a beach pass), and we had a perfect vacation week with family. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great location. Older cottage with updated appliances. Bathroom was very small. No air-conditioners which made for some hot days. The ceiling fans helped the bedrooms at night. The short walk to the beach was great.

Perfectly located across the street from the bay, a short 4 minute walk will bring you to the top of the stairs leading to the perfect bay beach. The cottage is simple with all you need. Nothing fancy but very comfortable.

Cape Cod gem with private beach
I chose this property mainly because of its location and that it is dog friendly. The house has everything one may need on vacation, located in a neighborhood with its own private beach. It is also close to Ptown and ocean beaches and everything Cape Cod has to offer. Overall we had a lovely time.

The location of this cottage is perfect. Steps from a private beach, very convenient and close to P-town and there’s a great park at the library complex down the road that my son loved. Dana was friendly, accommodating and easy to reach.

Great private Truro location and beach!
Great private Truro location and beach! Modest vintage cottage fitted with new applicances and TV. Dana was easy to reach and very responsive. Two weeks of perfect weather made this one to remember!

Quiet cottage
This was a PERFECT retreat for our family and our dog. Dana had great communication, recommendations. The cottage is in a secluded area a few steps to a private beach! I hope we will be back again!

This was the perfect summer beach cottage! It was just perfect. It is so quaint and is in a great location. It is perfect for getting to the beach. The beach is private and no matter your situation or the current situation, it's perfect! The view from the front porch is amazing! It is quiet and great for restful getaway! The night sky from the porch is incredible. Dana is helpful and always accessible. I can't wait to go back again!

Overall review
Nice quiet location but there are a lot of people who run, walk and bike for several hours in the morning which kept making our dogs bark. Considering it is a private road and there are only 3 other houses, I was surprised there was so much foot traffic. Dana was great and gave us a lot of info because it was our first time on the cape. The breezes were amazing and helpful as there is only 1 air conditioner. I also should have checked on the beach access as it is almost 70 stairs down to the beach and my parents are 76 and had a hard time. Otherwise it was great!

Not fancy but very comfortable, I would stay at that cottage again. Very quiet with lots of privacy. Beautiful deserted beach. I love Truro and would come to this cottage again and again

Absolutely Great
We had an absolutley excellant time and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We had done a lot of looking and really liked the way it did not have neighbors all over. We were so happy we made this our home for the time we were there. The inside is basic, clean and has everything you need. You can see the water from the porch and hear the waves. It is exactly a one minute walk to the top of the stairs leading down to the priivate beach. There were many times that we were the only ones along the entire shore, as far as you could see. I would certainly tell anyone that they should stay here. Dana was great to work with and we certainly hope to stay there in the future.

Amazing View-Comfortable Furnishings-Seclusion
The cottage was in the perfect location with partial views of the Cape Cod Bay. During the day the scenery was whimisical and at night you could see stars for miles. The proximity to the beach was perfect and every night the sunset on the private beach was amazing. One guest said, "Every night is a wine and cheese kind of moment." The neighborhood was welcoming and friendly. Dana the owner was accommodating, friendly, and truly wanted us to have nothing but fun. The accomodations are modest, but we spent most of our time on the beach, on the deck enjoying the Sunset, having conversation. Our dog loved roaming around the property and exploring the beach. Dana was very accepting of our large group and gave us loads of information regarding best beaches, places to eat, and transportation.
We took the bus a few nights into P-Town (about a 10 minute walk from the house). It was cheap. Took a cab home from P-Town. IT WAS SO EASY. There were 7 of us in the house, and we all slept comfortably. We all got along great, respected each others privacy (when needed).
NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. IT WAS TRULY AN AMAZING VACATION!!

Nice cottage -Awesome location!
Me and my husband have been to this cottage 3 times so far...and we'd for sure come again. We love this location.. the private bay side beach is in walking distance and is never crowded. There's always a nice breeze coming in the dining room window. It's also a nice area to ride your bikes.. we just love it here.
