Each terrace has both a porch and an open space to accommodate your wishes for sun or shade. The east terrace has a seaview jaccuzi with 5 rooms including a lying one. You will enjoy their absolute privacy: no peeking neighbor! Each of the three bedrooms is individually decorated, with king size bed as well as ensuite bathroom. Two of them open onto the terrace for enhanced intimacy. Our penthouse includes all amenities one can expect from such high-end accommodation: a private elevator dedicated to luggage, a vast modern gourmet kitchen with Center Island that is fully equipped (including 2 ovens, dish-washer, microwave, American-style refrigerator, water cooler, wine cellar, etc.), a BBQ, air conditioning in the bedrooms (not in the living room), LCD cable TV, WIFI, safe, laundry room etc. PRIVACY, COMFORT AND SAFETY This exclusive property combines the best of both worlds: you will treasure the privacy of a quiet and small residence while enjoying services usually associated with hotels – gated entrance and 24/7 surveillance, daily cleaning, gardening and pool maintenance, Should you wish to free yourself even more from everyday duties, we selected competent and reliable personnel for you who will take care of grocery shopping, cooking, babysitting etc.: - Babysitting is around 5 USD per hour - Cooking for Lunch or dinner : lump sum fee (in total, not by person) of 30 USD up to 6 adults/40 USD as from 7 adults. Includes the shopping, meals preparation, setting the tables, serving at the table, taking the dishes away and washing them The residence was designed to preserve the essence of the area by respecting the lakes and green areas in order to offer each resident his own special place. You will find a salt river running through the garden down to the sea. The penthouse is equipped with 3 king size beds in the 3 bedrooms (equipped with air conditioning) and 2 queensize convertible couches positioned in the living room (which is equipped with fans but no air conditioning), making it ideal for 8 people. We can accomodate up to 10 people thanks also to 2 individual folding beds for kids. There are many nice restaurants nearby. You will enjoy a sailing club just on the beach front with whom we negociated for you a 50 % discount on windsurf and boat rentals + kayak and paddleboard at 2 USD per use. Electricity is included is the base rate as well as daily housekeeping. Fiber internet download speed = 80 Mbps Netflix available Smoking is not allowed indoor but OK on the various terraces which are partly covered We are at the disposal of our guests for any question prior to the stay. Our Property management agency has been located in Las Terrenas for over 15 years. They are very connected with locals and reliable. They are available by phone and whats app 7/7 24/24 and live 5 minutes away. They can take care of logistical aspects of your stay if you wish (including transport from/to the airport) and they will welcome you upon arrival. The Nearest airports are: • ‘El Catey’ (AZS) on the Samana peninsula 18 miles or a 25 minute drive away. On arrival staff directed by owner to refuse entrance because our final payment hadn’t been processed prior to our departure despite being made 20 days before in consultation with their finance manager who assured me she would contact me if there were any problems. After 3 weeks of doing nothing, emails were sent from an unsecured location the day before departure, which went directly to my junk mail.
Forced to sit in the taxi in 30 degree weather I was handed a phone and was immediately insulted, yelled at and sworn at by owner Rodolphe for more than 30 minutes. Told me if the payment wasn’t fully paid immediately the rental would be cancelled and our deposit lost. With heat exhaustion and no water, I begged to be allowed entrance to resolve the problem inside and desperately had to use the washroom. Being denied, I subsequently wet my pants. My husband took the phone and obtained agreement to accept all the cash we had and obtain the rest of the funds later, which took 3 days.
Thanks to Enrica and Milka we managed to resolve the issue.
Definitely not a luxury high end property. The 2 ovens didn’t work, dishwasher didn’t clean adequately, private elevator didn’t work, pillows and bedsheets lumpy and threadbare, smaller bedroom bed uncomfortable, inadequate lighting in stairwell resulting in several falls at foot of stairs.

First and most important we made a reservation based on 10 People. We ended up being 8 (thank god) because there was not space whatsoever for 10 people. There are 3 bedroom for 6 people the rest had to sleep on 1 sofa bed that was in the living room with NO AIR CONDITIONING and many many mosquitos!!
We had to move the sofa bed and sleep 4 people in one bedroom. Requested many times for extra beds to be delivered and in our 12 days stayed they were never delivered. The listing says that there is cleaning every day. Not true at all. Only the first day of our stay we had one came over and the rest of the 11 days no one came to clean. We asked and the response was that the person had personal problem but never gave us the option to send someone else. We wanted to change our stay to another place as we were not happy most of all with the sleeping arrangement and they simply said there was nothing else. The property is very beautiful but out dated. Some of the appliances didn’t work and were very old. We had to wash the first day the jacuzzi to use it and couldn’t use it anymore as is was ver dirty, so don’t even count on the jacuzzi. Overall we had a good time regardless of the inconveniences that we had but I would not recommend this property if AC is important for you, and also if you are more than 6 people. Also there is no board games or snorkeling equipment or beach chairs which are often included in seasonal properties. We requested prior to our arrival day about it and they said they were providing it but never happen.I suggest manager to remove the option of 10 people on this property unless you are ok to sleep in the living room with no AC and being eaten by the mosquitos. We have been in Las Terrence in another occasion and stayed on another property much smaller (for 4 people) and it was very well kept and the service was excellent. I would not stay on this property or recommend it to anyone.

Our stay was pleasant and Dora, the house keeper, is excellent. The location is perfect very close to the beach and restaurants are just steps away, But the property needs improvements and renewal. The jacuzzi was dirty and the water was cold. There is a stereo but it's too old ( no Bluetooth). The penthouse is big and the view is stunning. Overall good experience

The location is great, 5-10min walk to the beach and within walking distance to many places to grab a bite and yummy drinks. The first spot with food ask for Anthony if you get some food he will hook you up w table and chairs. At the house would be lovely if they had beach chairs and umbrella (there is one that is broken and chairs they have are not beach chairs or easy to carry) in the house. My biggest complaint is the pond that’s on the property, it’s actually lovely BUT I think it needs some cleaning up and up keeping and bridge over to the pool and beach needs some updating, the property management team should really freshen up the outside. Also, there are way too many mosquitos everywhere!! Nevertheless we will consider this place again when visiting las terrenas.

We traveled during Covid which brought with it some challenges of return testing and curfews. He totally setup our tests and got that taken care of for us. One night we hadn't realized it had gotten to curfew and we hadn't gotten dinner yet...called the Property Manager...he had a friend open up hi Pizza restaurant to make us pizza...and even delivered beer with it. Seriously there is no better place to stay on the planet than this vacation rental. Las Terrenas is an absolute dream of a location made even better by staying here. Literally counting down the days before I return.

Fantastic stay at this great property. Huge penthouse, intimacy, very big swimming pool, cosy jacuzzi and fantastic views on the tropical gardens and the ocean. Just in front of the playa las ballenas beach, whic is by far our favorite !

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. This was our second time at the Penthouse and we hope to be back again. Las Terranes is a small laid back community that is unique and the Penthouse is the perfect place from which to enjoy the area.

Paradise
The property was just what we wanted. The area is developing so there are areas that are very littered but overall the DR is gorgeous and the locals are friendly and welcoming! Fortunately, a couple of us understand (and can stumbled through) Spanish. Alida is AMAZING! Not only are her meals excellent, she is so sweet that she truly becomes like family! I wouldn’t hesitate to rent again!

Paradise Just a Few Steps Away....
The property was clean and well prepared for our arrival. The ocean was the main selling point for us. Our lovely maid/cook took very good care of our family and indulged everyone's love of Dominican food, right down to always having cafe con leche ready for us in the morning! Oh how we miss her and wished we could bring her home with us!!! Some of the appliances were not in good working order, but that was eventually sorted out. There are no AC units in the main section of the house, and the breeze is nice, however, remember bug spray as there are mosquitos. Thankfully the bedrooms have AC. Also, one of the bedrooms does not have a direct entrance into the rest of the house.....quite nice for couples who want some alone time, however families traveling with children should be aware of the room situation. We were thankful for security guards spaced around the property and the friendliness of all those who worked on the property. The ocean is amazing! We spent most of our days in the water. There is a nice foot and body outdoor shower available at the pool which was great. We went into town one day for groceries, but other than that we were just around the house. The cable/satellite does not have a lot of access to various stations, but we were able to find our favorite shows on YouTube in the evening and streamed those. The Wi-Fi only works in the main room, so if you are needing to do work, be prepared!

Beautifully located penthouse.
Our trip to Las Terranes was simply wonderful. The view from the penthouse was amazing. We travelled in November which is we knew was their rainy season. We had many hours of sun as well. Security was 24 hours a day which made us fell safe. Penthouse was spacious and very clean. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped. Grocery stores close by. Good restaurants along the beach and reasonably priced. Have already booked for this upcoming February 2020 .Can't wait to return.

Amazing place
Beautiful property in immaculate gated Bonita Village. Great views all around with pool and beach right out front. Took my family and they're already planning to return. Really enjoyed the rustic decor which gives it a great balance of luxury and authenticity.
Some slight confusion with staff but was quickly resolved after reaching out to owner. One of the property managers even came to resolve a very small issue on the night of her sons birthday. They went above and beyond expectations.

Loved it!
We stayed here w/ our five children ranging from 20 months to 12 yrs. Villa is beautiful and views are unforgettable. Alida, the cook and maid, might be the best thing about the villa. She made breakfast each morning and a few amazing dinners for us. She did all the shopping as well. Thanks to her, mom had a real vacation!
Kids loved the pool. It is huge. The beach is a quick walk. Villa is super clean. Booking and checking in is a breeze. Celina and Camilla arranged a taxi from the airport and met us at the villa to let us in at 1am. They were always quick to respond to the few questions I had.
I was a bit nervous w the railing and an adventurous 20 month old so I didn't let him wander like he does at home but I looked at others homes there as well and this one was safer than most for toddlers. Great find!

Really a fantastic place. Beautiful Place. Come for the people.
First things first. Las Terrenas is very safe. Do not cancel a trip to DR due to reports you see on news. We were 8. 6 adults 2 kids. No one got sick.
Feedback:
The not great news first. We had some setbacks. No hot water for a few days until it was finally fixed. Less than halfway through our week the pool was emptied and they started some major construction on it. No pool. Lots of noise. The kids were not happy.
On there hand, we manage to have a great time. This things can happen anywhere. The penthouse is beautiful. Perfect location. Steps away from the beach. Very close to town. All the rooms have AC and we were able to sleep very well. Alida is the cook. She also cleans. She is wonderful. Her food is amazing. She would make breakfast or dinner. Have her cook for you! Rafael is the main Taxi for the villa. He is a very nice guy. He can also arrange tours for you.
The awesome news is Las Terrenas is fantastic. This place is surrounded by wonderful people. Friendly and Cordial. We love the culture. The food is delicious. This is a happy place.
Hopefully we will visit again.
