Aloha. After the devastating Lahaina fire, and with deep respect to the families and businesses that were affected, west Maui is welcoming guests back. By staying here and patronizing local businesses, you will be putting locals back to work and providing an important source of tax revenue for the state of Hawaii and the county of Maui. Your host Clever Trevor stayed in this unit several times in late 2023 and 2024 and made it a point to dine out and tip well. Clever Trevor was thanked for providing that vital economic support. In May of 2024 Maui's Mayor proposed phasing out certain vacation rentals in apartment zones beginning in July 2025 to hopefully covert some of those properties to long term rentals - if it happens it WILL NOT affect this unit or any other unit in Honua Kai which is zoned Hotel. Honua Kai is much too expensive for long term tenancy which is why literally nobody lives or will live at this resort full time. Tourism represents the vast majority of Maui's economy. Mahalo for your support. This is KONEA 142, the KING of the GROUND FLOOR 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo-tel luxury homes at the Honua Kai Resort & Spa on Ka'anapali Beach Maui. Aloha. I am Clever Trevor Alt and I proudly own and manage this property. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This private oasis is located on the GROUND FLOOR of the private NORTH side of Honua Kai - you don't face other units. KONEA 142 is the ONLY northwest facing ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium home on the north side of the Konea building. This is the quietest and most private part of Honua Kai - but it has the EASIEST ACCESS to all resort amenities. You can come and go securely from the back door facing the yard or the front door to the hallway. VIDEO TOURS: See the 2014 video tour of my unit and the nearby pool, and the 2018 Matterport tour of the unit. After the video was made the living room TV was upgraded to a 65 inch 4k Samsung hung on the wall. In early 2023 more upgrades were made (see pictures): 1) New sleeper couch. 2) New side chairs. 3) 3 new beautiful koa wood Minke fans with lights installed in the bedrooms and living room. 4) New luxury vinyl plank flooring replaced the carpet. 5) New dining chairs. 6) New barstools. 7) New beds. 8) New decorations. FREE EXTRAS: 1) 65 inch 4k UHD Samsung Smart TV in living room + TVs in each bedroom. 2) Fast, free WIFI - 300 MB lightning fast fiber optic internet service! 3) A comfortable lounge chair for sunbathing on your own private lawn while keeping an eye on your kiddos! 4) Luxurious adjustable shower heads. 5) Amazon Alexa Echo. Voice activated. Ask Alexa for anything such as news, weather, or to play music. 6) Sonos beam soundbar hooked up to living room TV, can play music too. 7) Secure access to the unit from either the front or back doors. Enjoy the open spacious feeling with 11 foot vaulted ceilings ~ only on the GROUND FLOOR ~ and 1,230 square feet of interior living space. You get 2 master suites divided by an open living and dining room and kitchen floor plan. Nano Glass doors OPEN THE ENTIRE WALL to a HUGE lanai with outdoor dining and lounging furniture, bordering your own private lawn and garden area. You get 420 MORE SQUARE FEET of furnished outdoor living space! We are a short 1 minute walk to the pools, Viking barbecue grill area, Duke's Restaurant and Bar, and the beach and Pacific Ocean. I've installed a KEYED lock on the lanai door for secure access. Super close to Whaler's general store, gym, spa & parking. Due to our unique location on the north end of the resort, you'll enjoy ultimate privacy and a secure back door entrance that is all yours. Our front door is very close to the door to the interior courtyard. You reach all of the attractions of this gorgeous resort MUCH FASTER than if you stayed above the ground floor - no waiting for an elevator! Our GROUND FLOOR location is so CONVENIENT for hanging out at the pools or beach to pop into your own condominium to use the bathroom, freshen your drinks, have a snack, or grab the provided beach chairs, cooler, life jacket for your child, etc! Our guests prefer the PRIVACY of our "exterior" northwest facing lanai over the condos across the hall from us - their lanais face the interior courtyard which gives other condos across the courtyard a view into their units. My condo has the most convenient ground floor location on the private north side of the Konea building and offers the best VALUE and best OVERALL EXPERIENCE available at Honua Kai. If you're renting a vehicle (which I recommend), I have an acquaintance who privately rents a fleet of late model Honda Pilots and convertible Jeep Commanders for less than you'd pay one of the vendors at the airport and they deliver so you don't wait around. I also provide all my guests with 5 pages of recommendations for Maui dining and activities gleaned from about 50 visits over the last decade.
