Your host Clever Trevor stayed in this unit several times in late 2023 and 2024 and made it a point to dine out and tip well. Clever Trevor was thanked for providing that vital economic support. In May of 2024 Maui's Mayor proposed phasing out certain vacation rentals in apartment zones beginning in July 2025 to hopefully covert some of those properties to long term rentals - if it happens it WILL NOT affect this unit or any other unit in Honua Kai which is zoned Hotel. Honua Kai is much too expensive for long term tenancy which is why literally nobody lives or will live at this resort full time. Tourism represents the vast majority of Maui's economy. This private oasis is located on the GROUND FLOOR of the private NORTH side of Honua Kai - you don't face other units. KONEA 142 is the ONLY northwest facing ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium home on the north side of the Konea building. This is the quietest and most private part of Honua Kai - but it has the EASIEST ACCESS to all resort amenities. You can come and go securely from the back door facing the yard or the front door to the hallway.
