About this apartment rental

Step back in time where Steam Locomotives and horse and buggy were the mainstay of transportation. The Carriage House was built in 1895 welcomes you to a simpler time of cozy comfort combined with modern conveniences. Relax under a warm rain-fall style shower in original claw-foot tub sitting on a hand-sanded hardwood floor. Everything about this cozy getaway speaks of comfort and relaxation, from its well-appointed queen sized bed layered with rich linens to the banquet style breakfast area where you can plan your Camden adventure. Look out across a sea of green and imagine brightly colored riders mounted on horses streaking across the historic polo field, the second oldest in the nation. Or step onto your private deck and watch spectacular sunsets above the tree-line across the expanse. Wander among gardens and ponds on over an acre of property that surrounds the main house or walk along a winding perimeter road which threads its way between the polo field, golf country club and former property of the elegant Kirkwood Hotel which entertained winter guests at the turn of the century.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Carriage House, celebrating our 46th anniversary. The suite was pleasant and clean. The bed was comfortable. Communication was easy and no glitches with check-in. We truely enjoyed the small deck overlooking the polo field. My husband's words: "Amazing, the peace and quiet in the middle of a bustling town." My only wish would have been a polo match to watch from the deck. We did not get to meet Pam. I met Joe while packing the car up. Thank you, for granting our stay, for the anniversary card, the bouquet of beautiful flowers and sweet desserts. We had a quiet and lovely time.Lauretta

Cute historic cottage on the polo field. Very convenient to historic Camden and people we were meeting with in town. Would stay here again. Had everything we needed for a short stay.

It was very clean. Could not cook there. Thought it said it had a stove which it don't. Has a convection oven which when you turn it on it would kick the surge protector off after a minute or so.
